Fun Device

What makes the Hue great is the various capabilities that can be paired with IFTTT. For instance when everyone from the household leaves, I can have all the lights turn off. And when one person arrives the entry light can be turned on.

Great startup unit for home automation

Very handy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this smaller kit to see if I would use these. I can add up to 50 light bulbs to this 1 hub. Right now the 2 bulbs are perfect. They are basic bulbs with 3 preset scenes... nightlight, dimmed, bright and off. I can use the app to go anywhere in between or use the presets to get to a "scene" quickly. They work with Google Home or just the app on your phone.

I had a hard time

I followed the instructions and still had a lot of difficulty. Took several tries then finally got it attached. It Had a hard time finding the bulbs also. I had to remove one and re-add it by its serial number for it to attach, once it did it found the other bulb no problem.

Life changing tech

Integration with Alexa and Siri make it easy to power on and dim your lights. One of the best things about Hue is the ability to integrate many products into the Hub and create custom scenes. Using IFFT makes scenes even better with certain triggers
