I have paired my hue starter kit with my Apple Home Kit system. (I also use Echo's as I am a Prime Member.) I started with curiosity as I am interested in all tech. What began as a novelty has quickly turned into a lifestyle. It's a great experience to verbally control your environment and use smart devices! After this purchase I also went with the Philips Hue A19 color bulbs. I plan to go all in and look forward to what's going to come in the near future. I am really very pleased with this item.

Bought this along with an Echo to get my smart house started. Very easy to set up the light bulbs. You can use the app to set it up and control the lights. Will also integrate with Alexa so you can use your voice to control the lights. Would recommend to a friend.

I wasnt necessarily planing on buying these bulbs. When I bought the Philips hue lightstrip, I didn't know at the time that I needed a bridge. With that being said, I bought the bridge and 4 Individual bulbs. I didn't really think i would use these bulbs. Now I have 6 of them and counting, plus the strip. They work really well and I am satisfied with the light they produce. The dimming is spot on. I love having them all connected. The only problem with these bulbs is you will keep buying them to fill your house.

Light up a room without flipping a switch, using this kit and an Amazon Echo, Tap or Dot. Was easily set up and works like a champ. Price was too good to pass up, despite no color changing bulbs.

Easy to use and works well with Google Home and the SmartThings hub. Works best on lights that do not have a wall switch.

I purchased the Hue bridge and lights to specifically work with the Echo Dot. I wanted my house to be connected and this works well with Alexa. It was an easy set up. Just make sure you remember what you named your lights so it is easier to work with Alexa. I also love the way you can set up times for your lights to go on and off. For me, it was very simple to set up and I have had no problems so far. Will definitely be adding to my Hue system!

I bought these to add to my home automation system, not knowing how things would work out. I had a Difficult time getting the wifi and Bridge to recognize each bulb, but eventually they all came online and work flawlessly. I love being able to tell my bedroom lights to come on before I go to the bedroom, and turn off lights in the living room after I have left that room... keeps me in lighted rooms and no more stumbling/fumbling around in the dark hunting switches. I can also set them up with Geo-Fencing to come on when I get home if after dark, or out when I leave. Way Cool Product line and performance.

This has really revolutionized the way I operate - I paired these seamlessly with my Alexa Dot and my Google Home, and I love it! After getting this starter pack I purchsed three more white bulbs... am really trying to decide whether I want the the BR30s to put into my recessed cans. The light is perfect, I love the dimming options to really set the mood, and the fact they are LED just seals the deal! Great purchase!

I love walking into my house and saying "Alexa, turn on _____ lights"
Do you fall asleep reading in bed only to wake up and find the lights on? Now I don't have to get up when this happens to me - all I say is "Alexa turn off lights"
I love it! I do recommend that you have tight internet security and a good firewall. You don't want your neighbor messing around with you just to prove a point about internet security. Set-up took about 10 minutes. To set up the HUE it was fairly quick. Make sure you DON'T download the app before installing the HUE bridge. Don't ask me why, but it does make it difficult if you download the app first.
If you are gong to connect the HUE to your Amazon Echo, make sure you open the Alexa app, enable the HUE skill, open the menu and select Smart Home. Here you will need to name your rooms. Once you do this, you can use the Echo to command your lights. All in all, if you follow this sequence, it shouldn't take you more than 10-15 minutes to get up and running.
This kit also works with Google Home but since I do not have that device, I am unable to give you any suggestions on how to set this up.

My wife likes analog but she is getting used to these and I have scheduled her two favorite accent lights to go on and off at sun set and set to turn off automatically if we fall asleep on couch plush convenient for time away from Home to change it up. Worked easy with their ap and apple home ap. I just hope bulbs last long for price. Now only time will tell.

The bundle is the fastest way to deploy. Hub and bulbs come nicely packaged. The hub is small and can be conveniently be placed anywhere hidden. Easy to setup, just plug it to the outlet, let the hub startup, push a button and the hub is set. The bulbs once in place connect to the hub via de app. After that one can sync the app with Alexa and bulbsrespond to voice commands.

I purchased this primarily for the hub but the bulbs were a bonus. The hub was easy to set up and connect with Echo. The app for the hub is also very straight forward and relatively easy to use. The bulbs are fine but the biggest draw back is they are only equivalent to 60 watts. While this is plenty bright for my eat in kitchen table light, it would be difficult to read by one bulb or even two. While I absolutely have some very specific uses for these two bulbs, in the future I will spend the extra money on color bulbs that tend to appear, at least, to be a bit brighter when utilizing the whitest setting. Overall, a good product for my needs and connection to Echo permits voice control of lighting off and on, and that's just fun if nothing else.

This is the least expensive intro into the Hue network. Great starter kit. The Phillips app is free and easy to set up and use. You will need to have an available port on your router for the bridge. Plenty of features on the free app but there are some pretty elaborate ones for sale.
You wont regret this purchase. I bought four, three as gifts.

This Phillips Hue starter kit is excellent. It comes with the bridge that is necessary to connect all bulbs. It also comes with two standard white bulbs which are an excellent start to the Hue system. Not only is the system very simple to set up to your network and phone, but it also easily connects to the Google Home to be able to voice control the system.
