I tried the Wemo products first; and was met with many issues. The Hue hub connected immediately and the android and apple apps work seamlessly. The schedules are accurate and the a19 bulb is a direct replacement for my lamp with nice output via the dimmer.

And a starter kit it is. It’s basic and I shouldn’t have expected anything but. The lights are very dim at the highest setting. On the bright side, the installation was pretty easy and straight forward. I do like it the system I just wish it offered more. But that would be my fault for expecting more. I give 4 stars for the brightness.

Great for beginners very easy to install and price was reasonable

Simple set up. Great for those toying with the idea of home automation. I have this set as well as a few WeMo outlets/switches all connected to my Echo Dot. Makes things super convenient with the ability to set timers and control away from home.

I love these starter sets. They are easy to set up and work with practically any device, alexa, iOS, Android. I bought a second one as a gift for my mother in law. The bulbs are dimmable and do not require any additional set up or wiring.

I ordered the Phillips Hue starter kit not really knowing much about it but it was so easy to install and I love just accessing an app and changing my lighting whether I'm home or gone. Great purchase, would buy them again.

First of all, I got this as a Deal of the Day for $25 off, so score! This particular version of the Hue White A19 Starter Kit is the brown box (i.e. "frustration free packaging") version. There is no difference between this and the "regular," full price version other than the packaging. But just FYI - in case you're wondering. I have this working with my Smartthings hub (Yes, the Hue bridge is needed in this situation.), and it's pretty smooth sailing. All of the bulbs are automated, but I've also created widget buttons on my family members' phones via the Hue mobile app so that they can easily turn on/off and dim the bulbs as they please. In terms of color, these bulbs are a little on the warmer side (2700K), but most "indoor" bulbs are, so not a problem there. I would like to expand and purchase some of the color changing bulbs within the Hue family, but they're not cheap. This wouldn't be a big deal, except that there are other companies now that are producing more reasonably priced smart lighting options that work just as well as the Hue. Something to consider for those of us who are a bit more budget-minded.

This works perfectly with the app that you can download for free. I really like the feature where I can control the lights when I am away and how I can set them to turn on when I come home. I love never coming home to a dark house!

I bought these after I returned my dot since I got an echo for Christmas. After I figured out how to use this along an individual hue light bulb I got, it was pretty cool. Although sometimes its still easier to just flip a switch.

I have several different smart products from several different manufactors and the Phillips products are by far the most reliable. Will continue to buy more Phillips smart home products...easy setup and works well with Apple Home

I wanted to try these out my kids are always leaving the lights on in the hallway at bed time and now we just have to use our phones or ask Alexa to turn them off. No more getting up to turn them off.

I love the hue lights, they add a nice element to any house

The starter kit is the way to go especially that it gives you the Bridge and 2 bulbs. Setting this up was easy and fast. Responds well with the Amazon Eco or Dot. Works with the Apple home app and the Philips Hue app as well.

This is exactly what we needed for our living room. We don’t have overhead lighting in our house, so no wall switches. It’s more convenient than having to walk across the room to switch on the lamp.

PURCHASED ON THE ONE DAY DEAL. GAVE IT AS A GIFT FOR SOMEONE THAT COMES HOME AFTER DARK SETUP WAS EASY ENOUGH. I HOPE THEY CAN TURN THE LIGHTS OFF AND ON WHEN OUT OF TOWN. STILL LOOKING INTO THAT. THEY DO BURN PRETTY HOT OR VERY WARM IF YOU LIKE THAT TERM BETTER. AS FOR LONG LASTING, WILL NEVER KNOW.

I bought this for my monther. She doesn't get around like she use too. Makes it easier for her to turn lights on and off, without having to use her hands. She loves it. Ordered 3 more bulbs within days of getting this.

This was an awesome purchase. The wife and I always read in bed and this makes it so easy to not have to get up to turn off the light. I would recommend to anyone who reads. So simple to use the HUE app on our phones.

I recently began updating my home to a smart home and this was a great addition. I use it in my bedroom. It saves me one extra step of having to physically turn off my lamps.

This was an incredibly easy-to-setup/install system and we have used it several times each day, every day, since we purchased. We are excited to add to the overall system and expand its capabilities!!

Easy to configure and works well with the Hue app. Also set up easily to work with my new HomePod. Very satisfied (after getting over the sticker shock of paying $20 for a light bulb).
