I brought these for an upcoming trip and I also acquired an Amazon Echo from QVC for far cheaper than anyone else. And buying the hub which u need to buy unless you own the new amazon echo which has a hub built in. These are very bright and being able to dim them without a dimmer switch and being able to turn them on and off with voice or without having a timer because the hub does it all and works well with Amazon Alexa.

We control these via Google Assistant, via our Android and Apple phones, as well as via JBL and Onkyo "Google Home" devices. At first, we attempted to use a less expensive option from another manufacturer, but those were controlled by Bluetooth, rather than by wifi, and their range seemed more limited than that of most of our other Bluetooth devices. To use any of he Philips Hue lights, you need a Hue controller connected to your router or swich by an Ethernet cable, and such a device-- and a short cable-- are included in Hue stater kits. After that, its just a matter of replacing bulbs, then using your Hue Android or iOS app to assign names and to identify locations.

Haven't had any problems with these bulbs. A little pricey, but the control and lighting is great. Dimmable lighting without the hassle of installing a dimmer switch, and ability to control anywhere in and out of the house.

Glad these bulbs are finally available in a multipack. The Hue system is very easy to setup & use with both the iphone home app and Amazon's Alexa. Only wish the price was lower.

    Lights work great with Alexa

Really liked the lights and were easy to install with Alexa. You do not need a hub, but you may consider purchasing one if you are prone to power outages. We lost power the other night and when the power came back on, all the lights in the house turned on to 100% brightness. The only way to prevent this is to have a Hue Hub and get the latest updates. Still, the bulbs are great (a little pricey).

Relatively easy setup...I actually setup the bridge and lights before I found the setup instructions. The bulbs were functional as soon as screwed in, working with old wall switch. The Hue bridge adds a ton of function...local/remote control, brightness/color, event-triggered automation and more. Although it all worked right out of box, newest features required the app, bridge, and each bulb to download and update its software, which takes quite a while but was very straightforward. Lights can be controlled via Hue app, Apple HomeKit (and others), or by voice via smart speaker (e.g. Apple HomePod). Scenes and rooms synchronize between the apps (single setup) but functionality varies between apps. LOTS OF FUN...CAN’T WAIT TO PLAY MORE.

I finally broke down and decided to add some smart lighting to my house. Set up was easy and I love being able to schedule the lights that we always forget to turn off to turn off on their own. I use them with Apple HomeKit and have Siri adjust them for me. My wife was hesitant at first but has started requesting them in other places in the house.

I love these smart bulbs. I have them all over my house. I also love the fact that you can have different settings. I often use the nightlight setting in my bedroom. They also work with alexa and google home.

Great set of lights around the house

Bought this pack of lights to add to my existing Phillips Hue kit I added last Christmas. These lights have been great as I've been able to use them for setting my living room lamps to run on a daily schedule so I always come home to a lit house. I also have one in my daughter's room on a timed schedule that functions in theory as an alarm clock, while she has light in that room she is able to be in there getting dressed and when it goes out she knows she should be in the bathroom getting ready. This purchase, I used to replace my 3 outdoor front entry lights to run on a schedule so I never come home to a dark house working much light landscape accent lighting. If you consider doing this, make sure the outdoor lights are covered/enclosed and I'm told that extreme heat will decrease the overall life of the bulbs but shouldn't expect to be drastic of an impact.

    My Addiction - Hue Lights!

I have to admit I am addicted to Hue bulbs. I now own 18. i now have them in almost every room. I have selected them to create a mood in each room that they are installed. I have both colored and ambient white and standard white. The bulbs incorporated with a Google assistant makes them extremely functional. The lights can be controlled from a central location whether you are lighting a path or you would like to set a mood -- all control from a phone or tablet. Initially expensive, but they are LED and will last from 18 to 20 years. The added bonus is that they are smart so that in itself is worth something. If you want to get into home automation, lights can be entryway to get started.

I have several Hue bulbs inside and outside the house. I'm using Hue Bridge, Smartthings, and Google Home/Assistant. This makes for a nice setup once everything talks to each other. The Hue bulbs, white and multicolor bulbs, are great. The Hue app can be clunky and slow to respond sometimes especially when there are software updates for the bridge and/or bulbs. There are some 3rd party apps that I have yet to explore but will look into as well - special effects, other controls, etc. But, recent updates have improved use of the default Hue app. I will continue to add more Hue bulbs and once set up very convenient.

These Philips products are pretty great! At first I purchased this kit thinking it would work with my WINK hub. Word to the wise, you need to have a philips hue bridge to make that conection possible. I returned this one and bought the 4 bulb kit with the bridge and all is well!

When I purchased the Echo, I received one light for free. My family liked this technology so much that we immediately went back and purchased some more. My kids love being able to ask Alexa to turn off all the lights when we're getting ready to watch a movie. These work and are cool.

Now that daylight savings has passed, I always come home to a dark house. The addition of the Phillips smart bulb to my home has made coming home at night much more pleasant because the lights are on. I live in the city and I feel much safer and they provide peace of mind.

These lights have proven to be 100% reliable. I currently have 14 of them installed in my home. I had been purchasing these bulbs separately at a higher price point but these four packs save money and allow me to keep a couple for backups without wasting money.

They are great. I have Amazon Alexia and can tell her to turn my lights on and off. You need the Phillips bridge to be able to do that. This is not the first time I bought these bulbs. I don’t like to have colored lights in my house. I prefer the white ones.
