These lights bulbs are almost addictive. Once you buy one and you start using it, you are going to want to switch all the lights in the house. Yes, compared to regular bulbs they are quite expensive but I like them so much that so far I have 12 Philips Hue devices in the House. I bought these for the living room, together with a motion sensor. I have them set up to turn on Daylight color during the day and Soft white after sunset and I’m loving them. Eventually I will replace more lightbulbs in the house with more Hue bulbs. I you already have a Hue system I would recommend these for those areas where you want to have the bright white daylight bulbs.

Cut to the chase... This light changes through spectrums of white light. You can dim it and control it all from the Hue app. I LOVE IT!! We have it in our front door lamp because I like being able to control it remotely from the app when I am not at home, plus this bulb is much cheaper than the color Hue bulbs. I won't feel as bad if it's stolen. It's withstood several days of 110 plus temps outside. I think it's of value having the ability to change the type of white light, but there is a cheaper white light that gives a single variety of white. I would suggest this bulb because it's nice to be able to adjust the light if you don't like the color of white.

Love these lights! They can fade in and fade out so when they can wake u up as an alarm clock without startling you. You can snooze for few mins but eventually they will turn up so bright you have no choice but to get up in the morning!

I purchased a number of these to use in lights throughout the house, primarily to setup with automation. They are not cheap, so I use them in table lamps and fixtures with a single bulb as if your light has more than that, it quickly gets expensive. I've been incredibly happy with the light, as well as the ability to dim and control the temperature of the bulb. I would definitely use these wherever I could find a lamp that would benefit. Additionally, the automation when paired with Homekit adds great value.

I'm a novice with home automation. I reviewed many different wireless light bulbs including Osram, TP-Link, Feit Bluetooth, etc. I arrived at using Philips Hue for the following reasons: 1. Ease of set up - Download the Hue app, connect the bridge, install light bulbs, power on light bulbs, bridge locates light bulbs, you control light bulbs via app. All in all the whole set up took maybe a few minutes. 2. Apple HomeKit and Alexa - I utilize both Siri and Alexa to control this light system by voice. I'll admit that using Alexa is a little easier because you don't have to say "Hey" with Alexa like you do Siri. 3. Timers - My lights turn on when I pull in the drive way and turn off when I leave my network. Still cool every time I get home. 4. Scenes - I've purchased 21 bulbs so far and it's really cool to set a scene to a mood with the color changing and white Ambiance lights. Energize to concentrate to relax to read to any of the other many white ambient combos in between, these bulbs deliver an array of white lighting options. 5. Energy efficient. These bulbs, in theory, should last a VERY long time. I'm excited to see the energy bill as I'm assuming it's going to decrease in a big way. A few things that may take getting used to: 1. Light switches - you have to learn to leave them on for total automation. This is still a work in progress in my house. 2. Depending on the strength of your wifi, connection issues can happen. I have 30 Mbps broadband and have experienced only one connection issue on my home network with one bedroom bulb, one time. I plan to get a wifi range extender to ensure complete coverage. 3. The Hue App - it works for its intended purpose but I feel it can be made even better and more intuitive in the future. I'm sure updates will happen as the Hue Community grows and like I said, it works for its current intended purpose. I fully recommend these bulbs and the Philips Hue system. It's cool, it's energy efficient, it's easy. Get some.

I love this product and as a result, I was willing to pay the hefty price (only reason for the four-star rating). It also provided an option that actually saved me money. I had recessed lighting fixtures in my home and instead of rewiring to accommodate a light switch/dimmer, Hue lighting was a solution that I really like.

I'm obsessed with hue bulbs! They are great for every room. I love the way they integrate with the nest protect to flash on and off if it detects smoke (who hasn't burned an occasional dinner?!). Its very convenient to have them change from cold to warm throughout the day, and I love that every room now has a dimmer switch! If you still haven't bought into the hue hype, what are you waiting for?! Its totally worth it!

Philips hue comes with everything you need to get started with a smart room . Philips app works well, setting up rooms were easy and the app has been stable . Happy with this purchase

My son introduced these lights to me at Christmas and they have made an incredible difference in the lighting of our kitchen and dining areas. We love the different options of these lights and the fact that we can control from our iphones and Alexa. This lighting option is ten times better than putting a dimmer on the switch, which is what I orginally wanted to do before learning about Hue. Easy setup - easy control - reasonable price for product!

I've replaced all the light bulbs in the lamps in my house with hue lights, except for the weird sizes that hue doesn't make. I love the flexibility to change from cool to warm as the day goes on to prepare me to wind down for bed. Yes these are double the cost of the regular white a19 bulbs (if you buy them on sale, $10 vs $20) but they are totally worth it. Its like having two different bulbs. The combinations are endless!

The Hue lights are easily controlled with the Hue app and easy to set up within the app as well. You can even set it up with a geo-location to turn on and off as you come and go.

Value is defined by a combination of purpose and functionality. If your goal is simply provide illumination to a dark room, then this bulb isn’t the right choice for you; if you looking to wireless dim a room or adjust the ambiance lighting, then it’s a great value. You must connect the bulbs to a hue bridge (which costs about $50) in order to use all of the advertised features, which is for some is too steep of an entrance price; but if you already have a bridge then these bulbs can be a great Addition to a an existing home lighting system.

This is a 2 pack of Hue lightbulbs that have a full range of white light. These bulbs cover from a warm/soft to a cool/bright hue. They are what I consider to be the staple of a Hue lighting system as most rooms or fixtures don't require the full color bulb that costs the same as this 2 pack. They are great in overhead fixtures or lamps and paired with a Hue dimmer switch.

I love how these incorporate with Google Voice and all I have to do is say OK Google turn on light and it just works. Bulbs are supposed to last forever and set up is easy

I love my Hue lights and their ability to light the house at different times and different locations in the house. Makes me feel a little more secure when I go on a trip.

Excellent lights. I have an Echo Plus so no philips hue hub required, since hub is built in to the Echo Plus. Added them to my Alexa app and I can control turn them on/off, and dim from my Echos. I can also control the five different hues (warm white, soft white, white, daylight white, and cool white) from Alexa my Alexa app on my phone

These Bulbs Are Perfect For My Office because I like to have white light instead of amber colored light for streaming and in general areas that I do work.

we are in the process of swapping the old light bulbs with these smart light bulbs. They are easy to setup and control with Google home and the Hue app.

We bought this to add to our connected light scheme. It is a great light to set different moods. It is easy to set up and turn off and on with the app.

We put several of these in our home. Because they are more expensive than regular bulbs we use them only when we go away for long periods. I love the security of being able to turn our various lights on at home, from anywhere in the world. It’s fantastic for home security!
