The Philips Hue A19 lights are an affordable way of expanding the footprint of your smart bulbs. You need a Philips Hub to use this (not included) so if you already have a hub, you know about the smarts in these lights. The A19's throw out great even white light. I got this to use in our stairwell - where I didn't need the colors you get from the E26. In case you are wondering, Philips claims you can manage up to 50 bulbs from one hub.

I got these lights as an add on to my current hue smart light setup. Adding them to the account was really easy and they work flawlessly. Also, they're a different shape than i'm used to seeing but they still fit in standard light fixtures.

Good lights, but...I if you do not have a bridge there really no good for you. I have my entire home setup with smart devices, so I can control them however I want. Try them out, there are lots of them to select from.

Easy to use, great soft lighting, I love the ability to turn lights on before i walk into my place!

This product is for those of us that already own a hue hub. These light bulbs won’t work without a hub. With that beIng said, I love being able to control the lights from my phone and google home. The white lights from hue are the cheapest way to begin adding smart light bulbs to your home.

The Philips - Hue White Ambiance A19 Wi-Fi Smart LED Bulb (2-Pack) - White has been promoted as a breakthrough in lighting and technology, however at the end of the day is merely an LED light bulb unless you have the Philips Hue Bridge. Without this piece of technology, these bulbs are nothing more than extremely expensive LEDs. Since this package of 2 bulbs comes without the Hue Bridge, it is only recommended for someone who as already invested in the Philip Hue concept and has the Bridge from a starter kit.

Apparently I didn't have a hub to make the lights useful as actual WiFi lights. But once I pay $50 for the hub it'll be useful

I bought 2 for my bedroom since I don't really need a variety of colors in there. However, the range of whites almost makes it feel like a color bulb with the blues, whites, and soft oranges. A nice, cheaper option than the more expensive color philips bulbs.

Bulbs are very easy to use and install. Amazing ways to use them on timers etc... There's a reason they call it smart home. It really is smart!

I attempted to set these light bulbs up. The directions are vague. They basically tell you to put them in a socket and download an app. They direct you to a web site for additional help which provided no directions. When I open the app, it tells me it can't find a hub. Hub? Do I need to buy a hub? The directions don't clarify the answer. After extensively searching, I was able to see in very small print on the box that a bridge is required or a special light switch. This should be more clear.

It does exactly what it claims to do. I wish it was a little cheaper.
