I purchased these to replace previous ugly dated recessed lighting. They were pricey but worth it for my needs. They were easy to install and greatly updated the look. I love how I can program the lights now in my Entertainment room. Movie and game nights have never been greater as I have these programmed with my Logitech remote to dim or turn down when starting actions like watching movies or playing games! It can get glitchy at times and not respond to commands right away which is the only downside.

We got 7 can lights for Christmas from our sons. All we wanted for Christmas for our kitchen. Our son in Iowa just bought house. Over his sink had can light. Went to Best Buy to replace the light for hue light. He has Alexa also and pair light to Alexa. Great to ask Alexa turn light on “no hands”. So easy to install.

We have put these in 3 rooms so far and plan to keep adding them to replace the many can lights throughout the house. We have BR40s, so have to go with this type since Philips doesn't make a BR40 Hue. The only issue is some small insects got into one of them, but Phillips instructed me on how to open up the housing to clean it.

Fit perfect in our BR40 cutouts in the study. Was so tired of constantly changing BR40 bulbs. Have already had Hue bulbs elsewhere in the house, so was excited to see these so we could use Alexa. Just needed to learn to use a twist motion for getting them installed and they went in fine. They are just bright enough to work well for us.

Easy to install - this works great when I have my hands full and need to turn on the light or when I forget to turn the light off and I’m in a different room. Of course you have to have the Google Home to command it. I definitly want these lights throughout my whole house (eventually). Price is worth the investment.

If you are searching for lights that give you control wherever you are in the world look no further. These lights are super easy to install with a sleek modern look. You can set the lights to turn on according to your schedule automatical. I highly recommend these lights for anyone.

Lights were easy to install. The light bulb attachment screws directly into the outlet and the fixture fits snug into the recessed can lighting. Set up 5 lights and synced with the Hue hub in less than 15 minutes. The lights have (blue) ambience in addition to the traditional white tones.

I originally purchased replacement bulbs for my ceiling, but quickly realized I needed these specific canned lights. Install was very easy (once I figured it out) and quick. After a few tweaks in my Smartthings hub app I can control all 4 lights with 1 light,

response time seems to lag sometimes, but these are really fun to play with.

I have a lot of hue bulbs, it's as easy to use as the rest of them, though this doesn't come with some of the necessary springs that other bulbs do. I had to use springs from the original bulbs that didn't quite fit right.

The br40 incandescent lights are no longer available for my ceiling can lights. These LED lights were very easy to install and look much better than what I had before. Also energy efficicient. Easy to control with Alexa.

The recess light in my kitchen is really high up and directly above my kitchen island making it difficult to get to. It's easily 15ft high and I'm able to get to it with my ladder but it feels like a cirque du soleil act each time I have to get up there to change the light. I also would limit how much I would have the non-LED light on because I didn't want to burn it out. The fix to this is this Hue White Ambience LED Downlight. I no longer have to worry about it burning out cause it lasts over 20,000 hours and now I have a smart light where the previous recess light once was. I don't have to risk my life to change it and I also have a smart light up there. Definitely a win-win buy for me.

Great lights. I bought 4 lights for my front and back porch just to keep them lit when I'm not there. They work amazing just with a touch and Shazam on/off !!!!!!!

I recently updated our lights to Hues. These recessed light are perfect. Easy to install (when boxes are there!) and simple to control. We use with Alexa for remote controlling so our dog is never left in the dark :-)

So easy to fit into existing opening. Works like a charm. Be aware that you may need to buy an additional trim ring if your opening is closer to 6 inches. This is a pretty compact unit.

Took out my fan light and put in recessed lighting. Best decision I could have made and love the ease of setting scheduled with my lights for when I come and go.

The light look and work well. Unfortunately they don’t fit as snugly as they should. The spring metal brackets don’t hold them tight against the ceiling. Be sure to mount them well. Mine are in a 25 foot high ceiling, hard to get to and adjust.

I love all philips hue. So good. It definitely helped with a new baby and you want to control and dim a recessed light as a night light.
