Customers are enthusiastic about the Hue Bluetooth Lightstrip Plus's brightness, ease of use, and the sleek appearance. Many appreciate the straightforward installation and compatibility with various smart home systems, while some find the adhesive and price to be less satisfactory. The length of the lightstrip was also a point of concern for several users. Positive feedback on the app and Bluetooth functionality was also noted.

Light strip is good and easy to set up but it's short so you will need multiple amounts to cover large areas. The adhesive on the back of the strip isn't strong either. The app is good as well. It gives you many options on color schemes from holiday colors to simple colors.

Excellent product. Easy to use. Nice options on colors and brightness. The adhesive strips aren't the best but fine. May need to add double sided tape a year or so down the line. If you aren't sticking in a straight line, you might have some issue.

Got the lights for our kids bedrooms. Which they work great and can be adjusted to many scenes and colors. However, the sticky adhesive backing is terrible and frustrating to work with. They fell off by kids walls 3 days in a row before I bought clips of Amazon. Great lights but I would buy the clips and wouldnt trust the tape that comes with the lights. For the price you figure it would be better.

Philips HUE Light Strip Limitations

These light strips are nice and are very bright, but once you cut them, the section that is cut will not work on the HUE extension adapter. This will force you to use the female end of the light strips that would need to be cut; therefore, cutting off the female end will then allow the cut section to work as advertised.
In this regard, I would look for the V4 model as Best Buy offers the V3 model only. The difference in the two models is, the limitation of the function of the light strips once it is cut. Other then being a great setup it lacks in this functionality.
As for the adhesive on the back of the light strips, it is not a 3M tap as shown on the pictures on Best Buy For this reason, I would look for the V4 model from other retailers until Best Buy offers them.

I purchased these as I know someone else that has them. For me adhering these to the TV was more work than I wanted to do. It seems simple to peel the back off the strips and stick it to the TV. But you first had to figure how you would curve the edges at the right corners because once you peel the backing off and adhered them to the TV they were on there. My second problem is that I realized I would need to purchase another light strip to have enough length to all the way around my 65 in TV. It was just going to be too expensive. I decided to return these lights and purchase the light bars instead.

I love Philips hue lights, I have several of their products all through out my house. Including these. I do love the automations and the look, but the adhesive the strips come with does leave something to be desired. I did have to use additional double sided tape to get good adhesion under my kitchen cupboards. Additionally, for the price point, these strips are rather short. Other manufacturers make strip lights that offer similar features and you can by them as long at 50 ft for the same price. I still opted for these so I could stick with the same app to control them

This was quick and easy to install on the back of my tv and hook up with the hue app. Must of the adhesive stuck, but the end did curl up a bit. Looks great when synced with your entertainment.

These are nice kit, they are easy to set up and use. Just be careful when pulling sticky tape off. Completely pulls on then you have a nightmare. Also they say they can be cut and added to, but can only be cut in certain spots so you end up wasting a lot. I still like them and they work well.

The many different color options on this are incredible. We put it on the back of our headboard and it works perfect as a nightlight. I do wish it was longer and that the double-sided tape was stickier as one end has started coming off less than a year after installing. Otherwise a great product that I’d still buy more of.

I added a light strip to my collection of Phillips Hue “smart lights” . I mounted them to the back surface of my large flat screen TV using the adhesive strip on the back of the light strip. The process was pretty simple for the top and side surfaces but making the 90 degree turns at the corners was more problematic. I ended up just making loose turns and securing the lights to the TV with wide clear tape. It looks less than professional from the back but then I don’t watch the TV from the back. The view from the front is quite nice, it provides an attractive halo around the TV.

I purchased these lights for the back of my 32-in Curved monitor and they look great! I was going to go with some cheap ones on Amazon, but I'm glad I went with these instead. I don't have a bridge, so I just use the Bluetooth app. As I understand it, if you have the bridge, you can pick individual colors. If not, you have a selection of "scenes" to choose from. You get all the basic colors, but you can't pick an exact one from say, a HEX code.
I'm happy with my purchase and I would recommend these lights.

Love the brightness and color palette in these strips. Easy to mount with strong enough adhesive so it doesn’t fall off. This is the third one of these in our house. The Philips app is easy to use and works flawlessly.

I love these light strips. I used clear clips with tape to tac them up under my kitchen cabinets and they come on automatically just before sunset. I have a Philips LED accessory light on my liquor shelf, behind the bottles, as well and the Philips LED bulbs in almost all my light fixtures. They really create an ambience that you can't fully appreciate until you try them. Get one of these light strips and the hub and try it out. They are a little pricey but worth every penny and they last a ridiculous number of years. You will love them.

Zero issues with set up. I have these along the baseboard around my computer desk. Didn't use the provided tape (used a different tape). Keeping the provided tape will help me out in the future if I move or something like that. The app is pretty good at talking to other apps like Siri or Alexa. The lights are pretty bright. The color selection are up in the millions. Easy to create a color scheme and save it for later use. I also bought a handful of the lamps and use the Hue Play feature when gaming.

The Philips Hue light strips are very expensive compared to others on the market. But since my home is almost entirely outfitted with Hue lighting, I did not want to have a seperate app interface to control these lights. These integrate with the Hue app perfectly and have a very wide range of color, brightness that you can adjust. The scenes are also great and work well with my existing lighting. Overall very happy with the purchase, just wish the price was a bit better.

Wow, this is really neat and provides some excellent light for movie night. We placed it around the entertainment center for some dimmable indirect light when its dark.
Con-
Does not stay where placed.
The other reviews are accurate saying the double sided tape on these is very poor quality. I was forced to buy some heavy duty 3m adhesive for all 3 of mine. That seems unacceptable for the price these cost.

I absolutely love the Philips Hue lights, and the light strip is no exception. I trust the name so much that I've never tried another brand of smart light. The strip itself is easily places wherever you want. I did run into an issue with the underside of a cabinet where the 3m would not stick, but I purchased some other double-sided strips that worked really well.
I do recommend completely setting up all of your Philips Hue lights at one time in the Philips Hue app prior to associating your Philips Hue account to any smart home account you have. For me when I went back to change names after associating the Hue account to Google Home, it was a bit glitchy. After dissociating my Hue account, renaming and then reassociation of the accounts, this cleared up.
Finally, the voice commands work perfectly. You can change this to any color you want with voice or app, and it puts out a respectable amount of light that brightened our kitchen quite well.
