I love these lights. They make me happy. My only 'blah' point would be a wish for the lights to slowly turn on when set to a time. That one downside is totally drowned out by all the amazing positive factors and features. All the lights are individually under your control. Set your own scenes. Have fun with them. I want more lights.

I LOVE this product. It will works great with the app and runs smoothly. If you like to set the mood with different lighting and colors then this item is perfect for you. The bulbs last forever and can change to a ton of different colors. There are also other apps available that go great with this product if youde like the lights to change according to music or just to strobe them.

These BR-30 bulbs work exactly as expected and do an awesome job creating unique room scenes, especially around the holidays. They're perfect because recessed lighting placement lends itself to a much more uniform lighting effect. Once I separately purchased the latest hue bridge, I was able to access my hue lights through homekit which I use now all the time, almost exclusively.

Sets up very easily and controlling the lights from your phone or iPad is simple and responsive. The downlights provide as much light as a standard bulb and you have the option of dimming and changing color. Sixty bucks per bulb though is the only drawback, quite an investment for each room you want to Hue

A little pricey but very nice. gives a very broad range of color options.

Best lights money can buy they are expensive but well worth it .you can set up your own scenes and colors as you arrive home they will come on automatically and greet you as well as you can program them while away another state to come on at certain time and off at another time . Your friends will be amazed on how these lights operate colors changing slowly

This is a great product and very compatible with a whole host of other home automation devices like Smartthings and Logitech Harmony. The one negative thing I would say is that the software needs a lot more functionality that you would think would already be included with such an expensive item. You will have to purchase other (non Philips) applications to achieve the results you will most likely be looking for.

If you are thinking about getting a Hue kit, i would recommend starting with this one! This version of the floods have a higher wattage output that the standard A19 lamps they make. Communication was flawless with the main base. I also have this incorporated into my Control4 automation system and allows for scene based control. Excellent product!

Used this in a project where the home owner wanted a lighting control system with out having to purchase modules/dimmers and expensive electrical rewire. Achieved multi-color lighting with this system and its all conveniently controlled with an ipad/iPhone. Looks like the technical support is fairly new. Took three calls to get all 46 units on line.

I initially purchased the starter kit for my home office. The fun / geek factor was amazing for a while, but I drove my family crazy with all the brightness and color changing I was doing. The real practical use came when I put them in our kitchen. We turn the lights to a bright white to work / cook by, then dim to a nice soft yellow/white for dinning. At $60 per bulb, I don't think I'll put them anywhere else in the house, but if they price came down I'd consider it. The online community at philips hue is very nice and helpful.

Choose from any color you can think of or what ever mood your in. Cool but expensive.

These are very fun lights to have around your home. They have tons of color options which can turn any situation into a better one by just finding the right lights for it. Pair these lights with an android phone, tasker app, and you have lights that can be easy controlled by voice, volume buttons, and anything you can imagine.

They are easy to install, easy to use and great at helping improve the "atmosphere" at home. Only negative is that for resessed ceiling lights, they might be a bit smaller (in diameter) than what it should have been. But fits perfectly for angle adjustable resessed lights.

This was my first foray into the home automation world. I bought these lights, along with some other Phillips Hue products. By and large, everything works seamlessly. I can set up scenes, alarms, timers, and more with the app. This is an expensive hobby, but with it in my view!

Got it installed by my electrician and it looks very nice. Change color with iphone and store preset colors in the tap switch for color changes when phone is not around. One media bridge is handling 8 bulbs in two different rooms in my configuration and it can go higher.

This starter kit enables you to get going right away with using the Philips Hue LED bulbs with bridge. The setup was easy and the lighting options seem endless.

works great out of the box. got it with a promo of a free bulb extra. fits easy in my 5'' recessed lights housing and makes it easy and fun to adjust light in the room without getting up for every bulb

These lights are expensive, but they are very easy to use and set up. Getting lots of use out of them every day. Easy to set up timers for home security. Nice to be able to turn on lights for my dog when we don't get home before dark.

I've had a lot of fun messing around with the lighting in my room. One of the coolest aspects of Hue is there are tons of 3rd party apps that offer features not found in the official Hue app. I've been enjoying LampShade to set up sequences.

I purchased the BR-30 Starter Kit for Christmas at a good discount. The kit had the Gen 1 bridge but were replacing it anyway with Gen 2. Overall, the lights offer good color selection and easy control. The Hue App could be better but overall this was a good addition to our home.
