It was a breeze to set up but needed an open port on my router which was already in use. The app was easily set up. To rename lights I had to repair the app to the bridge after naming them or they would not be recognized. It easily connected to my echo also

Very stable throughout my daily usage. Very reliable with lights and app is even more intuitive than I would have imagined. Bridge is fairly priced. Set up in under 5 minutes

I upgraded my 1st gen Hue bridge to this guy to be able to access Hue Sync on my PC. It was easy to set up just mainly plug and play like the 1st gen. Although I do have the 1st generation lights as well this guy seemed to have some issues pairing up to the lights initially. I had to type in each serial number off my lights to get them to connect to the new bridge. But once they're connected all is good! I know the this guy (2nd gen bridge) is needed to access some Hue features such as Hue sync.

Buy the hub, and use it with any homekit, google, or alexa control. It was easy to set up, I personally used google mesh. Then add anything else. Works great as a hub

I got this product just because I wanted to play around with the idea of starting to get into home tech. Never thought buying light bulbs could be so exciting! Have yet to face any issues. Setting the lights to turn on in the morning with my alarm, setting lights to turn on automatically when I get home, being able to turn off lights from work, having lights turn on darker between a certain hour so my SO doesn't wake have all changed my life for the better. It's also fun to play around with colors for rooms after they are fully fitted with Hue bulbs. Compatibility with Homekit has been flawless but I am planning on purchasing Google Home. I started out with the hub and 1 bulb because I didn't want to commit to something I thought might be a gimmick. I'd recommend getting the kits when on sale because it's a much better value.

This bridge hub or whatever you wanna call it to me it’s just a moneymaking tool. It’s function is to take all of the lights in your house and put them into one app so you can use them on your smart device. It is necessary to have and no way around it. If you want to control your LED lights with a smart device you need to have this bridge hub. They should have made the app to control multiple LED lights. It’s easy to install it’s user-friendly it looks modern I had no issues with installation but like I said I think it’s just a money making It’s easy to install it’s user-friendly it looks modern I had no issues with installation but like I said I think it’s just a money makingitem.

I have no complaints with the Hue bridge. I use it with Alexa and via my iPhone Hue app. I also integrate with IFTTT for automation trigger recipes. It works flawlessly.
I have two Hue bulbs I use in lamps and one LED light strip.

This is the main part of your Hue system.
This is needed to connect all your lights and control them.
You also need to use the Hue app to set everything up. It will have firmware updates from time to time.
Easy to setup. I had it all setup in a very short time.
The main app from Hue is not the greatest, but it is needed.

Got this to go with a Phillips Hue light strip one of my kids got for Christmas. It’s a pricey necessity, but it works great and we will be able add on to the light system throughout our home over time with this bridge.

Nice and update it, easy to use.I thought it was a little bit overpriced but I really enjoy using Phillips products and the products are very reliable.

Easy to set up and can be hidden easily. I have mine in a closet and still is able to connect to everything in my apartment with no issues. Makes integration easy.

If you're connecting this to a samsung t v make sure you add the bridge in your smart things. The t v will done recognize it via the app when you purchase it on the tv. It takes a little patience and trial and error otherwise once it's all linked up that works great.

There's not much to say about this hub. I had no issues setting it up. I use it to control Hues lighting in two rooms and behind a TV. The system is very reliable.
