Great product. Easy to connect to router. Controls more lights than I will ever use.

This is actually my second bridge. I've exceeded the number of lights (50) for the first bridge and needed to get a second. It's easy to setup and easy to operate. Please note you can only be logged in to one bridge at a time and can only remotely access your primary bridge. I use the second bridge to manage my exterior lights. They operate with Hue Routines.

Great product for a great price and easy to set up

I made my first jump into home automation lighting with the Philips Hue Lightstrip and needed to purchase this hub to make it work via automation. Subsequently, I've purchased Hue Multicolor bulbs. In retrospect, it's most cost effective to purchase the Hue Multicolor bulb starter kit which includes a hub. Yes, the Hue family products are expensive, but the effects and control make it worthwhile! Also noteworthy is that you can't mix and match other vendor's products with the hub so once you start you're locked into Philips.

Amazing gadget. No lag. Very responsive and easy to use.

I simply plugged into an available ethernet port of my home router, downloaded the Phillips Hue app on my smartphone and it performed a few updates. No problems with connected devices. It may be smart proactive idea to write down the serial numbers of your hue lighting bulbs or serial numbers inside of the light-strip box in the event you need to manually connect / input the device ID in the app. Just a suggestion.

Bought the hue system as it works with Apple's home system. I built a new garage and the outside lights were not connected to the house. for easy off on. The Hue bridge and light bulbs did the trick. Easy to install and use. No guess work at all. The Apple tie in allows me to turn on the lights when I am arriving later than expected using my phone internet connection - Nice.

As long as you have other Hue items to connect with, this box works great. My husband did the setup, and since he didn't end up angry or frustrated, it seems like that went pretty well. :)

This is the piece that brings all of your Philips Hue Lights together. The bridge set-up is super easy, and it takes no time at all to get up an running. It quickly connects and finds all the Hue lights on your network and the companion app makes it easy to control your lights and scenes. Philips has also created an Alexa Skill to allow you to control all of these features with your voice.

So, originally I got the smart things hub to operate the hue lights, because it stated it worked with hue lights, and hue lights stated they worked with smart things hub, but no matter what you do you have to have this little guy.... only unfortunate thing is that it absolutely has to be hardwired into your router permanently through ethernet cable, other than that no complaints. No bad on best buy, but something Philips could work on for sure. Smart things works wirelessly.......
