    I bought this bridge to upgrade my generation 1 bridge that I've been using for months. My main thought for the upgrade was to hopefully be able to utilize more functions of the bulbs in my theater room using my Logitech universal remote. The second generation bridge works well with the first generation bulbs. I have noticed no difference in functioning but I probably should have researched more on my end to see that Logitech was discontinuing supporting the scenary functions. It has no bearings on the functions of this awesome bridge. I would still recommend especially if you don't have one.
