The Phillips Hue Bridge works seamlessly to pair with smart lightbulbs and other Phillips smart home devices. The range is great in our 2500 sq. foot house. I love the ease of set up and how quickly I had the devices connected. I would definitely recommend this product.

Definitely worth the purchase if you have multiple hue bulbs. Makes set up a breeze and lights work flawlessly especially when using different devices to control them.

The bridge works as the brain for your Hue wi-Fi light system. Pretty straightforward install and you’ll have no problem if you’re tech savvy. Pairs up to 50 Hue lights so it’s great for multiple rooms.

Loving this setup. I've purchased about 10 Hue bulbs, a Hue hub, a light strip and a light switch. Philips makes it pretty easy to get everything up and running. I just wish it was cheaper.
The Philips Hue app could be a bit easier to use, as it seems like you have to go to multiple menus to do simple tasks. Overall, I think it's worth it.

You don't have to really connect it to a router. An orbi satellite is fine. My previous hue bridge gave out. So got this one that more newer and works like a charm. Reminder if you connect this with your hue play light bar, check for serial number on the tag attached to your cable when it ask to sync for your lights. I do plan to get some more Philips light in the future when there is sales so it's got to keep this in mind when you get a hue bridge

First of all, Phillips is a world-renowned brand, so you can already know what to expect. It is a small, beautiful and with a blue light that does not bother. Too easy for config

Works better than gen 1

I purchased this because i kept getting messages from the app telling me that the gen 1 bridge was no longer supported by the manufacturer. I was a little disturbed to find I'd need to spend another $60 to keep an already overpriced system running.
Connecting (replacing existing gen 1 unit) was a pain in the neck! I pulled the old unit out and connected the gen 2 unit only to find that I still needed the gen 1 connected. So I had to reconnect the old one again so it could update the gen 2.
All in all, the gen 2 bridge connects a little faster than the gen 1 which is the reason I rated it 4 stars. The hassle of connecting and waiting for the update and the excessive high price is the reason I didn't give it 5.

It was a breeze to set up but needed an open port on my router which was already in use. The app was easily set up. To rename lights I had to repair the app to the bridge after naming them or they would not be recognized. It easily connected to my echo also

If you're connecting this to a samsung t v make sure you add the bridge in your smart things. The t v will done recognize it via the app when you purchase it on the tv. It takes a little patience and trial and error otherwise once it's all linked up that works great.

Buy the hub, and use it with any homekit, google, or alexa control. It was easy to set up, I personally used google mesh. Then add anything else. Works great as a hub

I upgraded my 1st gen Hue bridge to this guy to be able to access Hue Sync on my PC. It was easy to set up just mainly plug and play like the 1st gen. Although I do have the 1st generation lights as well this guy seemed to have some issues pairing up to the lights initially. I had to type in each serial number off my lights to get them to connect to the new bridge. But once they're connected all is good! I know the this guy (2nd gen bridge) is needed to access some Hue features such as Hue sync.

This product has changed my life

I got this product just because I wanted to play around with the idea of starting to get into home tech. Never thought buying light bulbs could be so exciting! Have yet to face any issues. Setting the lights to turn on in the morning with my alarm, setting lights to turn on automatically when I get home, being able to turn off lights from work, having lights turn on darker between a certain hour so my SO doesn't wake have all changed my life for the better. It's also fun to play around with colors for rooms after they are fully fitted with Hue bulbs. Compatibility with Homekit has been flawless but I am planning on purchasing Google Home. I started out with the hub and 1 bulb because I didn't want to commit to something I thought might be a gimmick. I'd recommend getting the kits when on sale because it's a much better value.

This bridge hub or whatever you wanna call it to me it’s just a moneymaking tool. It’s function is to take all of the lights in your house and put them into one app so you can use them on your smart device. It is necessary to have and no way around it. If you want to control your LED lights with a smart device you need to have this bridge hub. They should have made the app to control multiple LED lights. It’s easy to install it’s user-friendly it looks modern I had no issues with installation but like I said I think it’s just a money making It’s easy to install it’s user-friendly it looks modern I had no issues with installation but like I said I think it’s just a money makingitem.

I have no complaints with the Hue bridge. I use it with Alexa and via my iPhone Hue app. I also integrate with IFTTT for automation trigger recipes. It works flawlessly.
I have two Hue bulbs I use in lamps and one LED light strip.
