These lights are a lot of fun, and are a great alternative to a hardware dimmer. You can control them with almost anything, and come up with all kinds of clever smart home notifications and routines.

Great Colors, Low power consumption, ability to be automated! What isn’t to love about Phillips hue products. This is the only set of smart lights that I have purchased that made me truly happy.

Love using these lights! The kids control them through Google Home. The kitchen counter and Dining room lights let you emphasize the food colours by adjusting the light to suit the dish. Really happy.

So i got this for my bedroom light. My roommate has this product and loves it...so i wanted to jump in. Sadly my light fixture didnt have regular lightbulb inputs...so i had to return it...which sucks

Added these bridges to my existing hue setup without too many problems. Phillips needs to update their app for changing hubs though... But the colored lights and magnetic dimmer switch are fantastic!

The first generation bridge seemed to always have issues. Select bulbs would constantly unpair or simply drop off. All problems well documented. This second generation hub works as advertised. You’ll need to upgrade to a Homekit bridge to integrate with Apple ecosystem. Thus, may want to price out separate upgrade bridge and bulbs and compare to these kits to guage value.

Love these colored smart light bulbs. Easy on the eyes and can be matched to the mood and activities in the room. The sale price was great - decided what I wanted and watched for sale. So happy.

Really enjoying these hue bulbs. Ease of app usage, and the vast array of colors and features! Easy to control with Alexa, and Siri. The only thing I can’t figure out is how to set scenes verbally.

Got this on a flash sale for a great price. Very happy with phillips hue, the priciest of all the smart bulbs in the market, but the most dependable and highest quality. you get what you pay for!

Purchased the starter kit because it had the best value. Being as this system only requires one router connection and the hub will support up to 51 lights it seemed like a good place to start.

I love the Hue system and it was a great buy. This starter kit is something I would recommend anybody if it’s on sale. I bought three starter kits already because they are such a good bargain

I’ve been using Hue for a couple years now and thoroughly enjoy the features and flexibility. The ability to independently control color and brightness makes these stand out.

I’m still deciding how I feel about these lights. They work as advertised, but I’m not sure of the practicality of them. I almost feel like a child on the toy toy worth the money. I do wish they got later than 800 Luemens. Obviously you have to be into tech toys and smart home items to buy these but I don’t think the average person would see what you send them.

This kit is a good entry into connected home technology. The hub and bulbs connect via a mesh network (Zigbee, not WiFi or Bluetooth). Controllable through the Hue app and Siri HomeKit (amongst others like Alexa or Google Home). One downside is that the output of the bulbs is low at 800 lumens. Limited options appear to exist that are compatible with the Hue hub.

I’ve had Hue light before and they always work great these were no exception. I installed these in my garage and even though they are far from the hub I was able to connect with no issues.

Put these lights in my kitchen which opens to my living room. It’s nice to be able to use the lights for the mood of the room. I can pick just the right amount of light or mood for ambiance.
