Love the Convenience, but...

Normally it's pick black in my bedroom when i go upstairs after work for the night, and when I go to turn on the light, I get the "connecting" message and then the app freezes and I can't get out (I have an iPhone XS). Then i am in the dark trying to update. CLearly something is buggy, as this time it's been three days (!) I'm trying to contact support....love them when they work, but - ugh.!!!!
