super easy set up and a great addition for adding color to any room with these lights. great starter kit.

The Philips Hue starter kit is great. The lights are easy to use and fun to set with many color options

Hue bulbs are very useful in certain circumstances, like using in a lamp where you want to be able to see at night but not completely destroy your eyes, or setting the mood in a given room. But at this per-bulb price, it’s hard to justify the cost when there are other less expensive options. A good, reliable product, just not great at this price point.

My son bought this for his room and he loves the color choices and the ease of using Hue with Alexa.

These lights are the greatest thing since sliced bread. These lights change the surrounding ambience of a room in a very positive way. The selection of colors and ease of use is truly awesome. I really like the idea that I can turn my lights on or off while controlling the color by the use of Alexa.They surely give your surroundings a different look. My only complaint would be the cost of the individual bulbs, a little on the pricey side.

These are great lights. Obviously they are very expensive. However, the options for colors are nearly limitless. The biggest thing you need to deal with is keeping the light switches on. And if you have a switch with a dimmer, it needs to be full power otherwise the light blinks and goes crazy. I do like simply telling Alexa to turn on X light. You can also ask Alexa to change the light color and brightness.

I like them. Have the bridge to control all of my lights. It gets expensive,way expensive if you switch out alot of them. I hear the newest have bluetooth. I use the lighting options all the time. For kids birthday parties, to dinner lighting, you can download apps that sync the lights with music. I use the color options for the kids nightlights. They are pricey but you get one bulb that can do the work of tons of others.

These lights are awesome in color, brightness and utility but when it comes to the responsive aspect of them like screen clone they are quite lacking, the idea is there and the tech is but the software doesn't work too well yet

I love the colors and the hue app. I also love how well they work with HomeKit and Alexa commands

This whole smart home idea seems a bit premature from a stand point of standardization. Everyone has their own app, think of the wife and telling her which remote controls what aspect of the Home theater. Non starter. Using Google Home to control everything, also a non starter. So I have zero'd in on Hue and Wemo as the tech for lighting. They both have their own app, and they are easy to create schedules on when to light up. As far as this Hue bundle. Its a great price for the pieces that you get . The switch is a nice simple touch. What I do have an issue with is the coloration's. Much better than gen 1 but really has a way to go. Its tough to get the right color and brightness. You really need to fuss with it... All in all I am still on the fence with it.

I've purchased several starter kits now with only small complaints. These usually go on sale a few times a year and when they do its typically your best deal for multiple lights. However, if you've already got a hub you end up with an extra hub you'll probably never use. I wish they would come out with multi packs with things like sensors and different switches or combinations of bulb types. Still a great product and option.

These lights are very easy to set up. It works seamlessly with siri. I love the changing colors.

It has been close to a year since i purchased my Philips hue starter kit. Ever since I have added more lights every time I see a good discount. The connection process is fast and easy. I love how I can change colors and turn them on and off with Alexa. I fully recommend them if you are bored of your lights just doing one color. And if you prefer using your voice to control your lights!

We started with this hue system because it gives you everything you need to get started. We've now expanded our hue system throughout our house with multiple rooms running, switches, recessed lights etc. This set is great for getting started and the switch makes it extremely easy to use. Setup takes 5 Minutes!

Quality product. Easy set up with Hue bridge, smartthings hub and google home. Initial software update took a while but NBD. Who would have ever thought light bulbs could be fun. I have a new obsession. Looking forward to trying new products, like motion sensors, to be able to trigger actions. There's a lot to learn with home automation. But I find it enjoyable. Important note - my wife is not impressed.

I absolutely love the option of changing the colors of the lights. This is a great addition to security lighting with the perk of mood lighting. I would’ve given it 5 stars but the price made it 4 star worthy.
