Don't be fooled by the high price tag for a light bulb! These multi-colored bulbs are amazing. We've been changing out all our bulbs to Phillip. My favorite use is in my kids rooms. I can have the lights turn just low enough for bedtime reading then turn-off when they sleep followed by a gentle sunrise wake-up each morning.

This is a great starter pack with color bulbs. Having 3 bulbs is ideal for a living room because you can use them for two table lamps and a floor lamp. This package includes the bridge which allows connection of the included components and also additional Philips Hue products. It also allows control using the Hue app which is great for turning bulbs on/off, increasing/decreasing brightness and changing colors. It also allows for routines to be automatically configured based on different triggers such as sunrise, sunset, time of day, day of week, or phone location. The included remote switch is also excellent. It has 4 buttons. On/Off and brightness +/- controls. The app allows for the On switch to be configured for 5x different actions. Basically, you can configure it where each press or subsequent press of the On button activates a different light scene, up to 5x actions. This is in addition to the dimming buttons and the Off button. Plus, the switch is also a "remote" because the button unit can be removed from the base and used as a remote. It is only attached to the plastic white base using built-in magnets.

Philips Hue bulbs are more reliable than the TP Link and LIFX lights I have. The are more feature friendly than TP Link (I like to do fade times) without having to use Stringify or IFTTT. LIFX looks great and may be what I'll eventually switch to for other rooms, but for starting out, the provided switch makes it very easy to make an entire room's lighting (or the three that come with it) very flexible.

We started with a Phillips Light Strip and have incrementally working towards making our whole house "smart" lighting. This set has the full color bulbs that can set the perfect brightness of light as well as the perfect color of the spectrum to meet whatever tone or mood you seek. The included remote/switch make this easy to use in addition to the Hue App. In our house, we also use AI via Alexa.

I’ve had this system since 2013 and it have never let me down! System gets updates and always has new features that evolve and make it that much better! Love being able to control my lights away from home or on my Apple Watch! The app is a little hard to navigate but gets easier. Definitely will be expanding my collection of their devices!

This is our first foray into smart lighting and it was a great choice. Super-easy to set up and understand, and in less than an hour, we had the front porch lights timed to turn on and off at dusk and dawn, and a light to come on in the house at night when we’re away. We can even change our outside lights to red and green for a holiday season effect. Decent price and a trusted brand.

The kit itself is a great starter kit if you're considering taking the plunge into the Hue ecosystem but it's even better at its current price. Having purchased a 4 bulb starter kit in the past I honestly prefer a dimmer switch in place of a 4th bulb. The dimmer switch is programmable and is great for a living room or bedroom. Once you go down the Hue rabbit hole it's hard to get out.

East set up. Works great with Google home. Phillip's app Is easy to use as well.

With our new(ish) baby, we decided to upgrade some of our key spaces with these bulbs, which gave us the option to have Alexa (or Google) control the lights for us when moving into different spaces with our hands full. Carrying my son into his nursery before sunrise (cosleeping...) I can ask Alexa to turn on Mr Fox (his lamp) so we have low light to get us started before having to turn on the fuller lights, and I can easily take the lights up or down with my phone (from downstairs if I don't have the chance to turn lights off when we leave the room) or with the great remote control. When I'm away from home, I can see if my wife and son are up and if i know they've gone to sleep and left lights on I can turn the lights off in certain rooms right from my phone. I played with the whole color gamut to begin with, and there are a few scenes (especially around bedtime) that make a lot of sense, but the thing I was most excited about (color) turned out a distant second to the value of the convenient interface.

I’ve wanted to try smart lighting for years. Finally, I was able to make this my first Philips Hue purchase because Best Buy offered such a great deal! The whole system is very easy to set up and control from my phone from anywhere in the world! I love that I can put the lights on schedules, too! Almost all of my home lights are now controlled from my phone with Philips Hue.

Great lights with controllable colors and are easy to set up

Worked very well in replacing a switch that controlled 3 canister lights and a overhead fan. Removing the original switch and wiring the lights and fan power on, (fan is controlled by an RF remote), and using the hue switch to control the lights, I can now have the fan on without the canister lights, and the fan and lights work independent of the other.
