    Too expensive to be so unreliable

    After working for months, the home hub was no longer able to reach any of the bulbs. With no troubleshooting options in the app, I had to factory reset the hub in hopes of correcting the situation. The hub then refused to locate *any* of my lightbulbs, forcing me to get each bulb out of their sockets throughout the house, one at a time, to get the serial number and manually type it in. That was no guarantee the hub would find the light bulb. As I write this review I have multiple bulbs that I can no longer control. Philips Hue is supposed to be the premiere smart light solution. This is absolutely not my experience and will not look to them for future smart home improvements.

    Disappointing. Loses communication frequently

    I loved these lights for the first couple of months. Now, Alexa FREQUENTLY loses communication and I have to "reset" the bridge. I used to enjoy walking into our Family room and saying, "Alexa, turn on the lights." More often than not, her reply is, "I can't locate Family room Hue Lights." I have to go upstairs, press the button on the bridge, and then it works. More trouble than just flipping the &*^%$# light switch.

    Bought the starter kit with 3 bulbs last year, 2 of the 3 bulbs are dead! Apparently if you have them in recessed lighting or on a dimmer switch you void your warranty. Thanks phillips for the support. I will return my light strip that I just got for Christmas thanks to the wonderful support of your product!

    I wouldn’t want to spend $140 second time to buy this crap. The light output is equivalent to zero minus. You have to look directly at the bulbs in order to see some color effect. Otherwise it does not throw any color lights around.

    The light kit came missing pieces. Best Buy was great about taking care of it. Now the old bridge will not transfer to the new bridge. I have other hue products, this one has not been good.
