Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Hue Dimmer Switch's ease of use and setup, compatibility with existing lights, and sleek design. Many appreciate its remote control functionality, long battery life, and magnetic attachment. However, some find the price a bit high and the size slightly larger than previous versions.

Works great. Fully programmable buttons. Works perfectly with HomeKit. I just wish it had a better magnet. It mounts to the wall using a magnet, but it’s very weak and the controller falls off sometimes when you push the buttons. I have 3 of these switches. One older version and two of this version. The older one stays put and has a strong magnet. The two new ones both have weak magnets and don’t stay put.

Super easy to set up. I used it for the four lights that I have in the bathroom and it perfect. I don’t want to grab my phone or use a voice assistant every time and this met all my needs

L have owned the old version of this switch, and I'm happy to say this version is much improved. I never have connection issues, it's fast and reliable. Little pricy for what it does, but that's how it goes with Phillips hue products.

I have an older house with pull chain ceiling lights and lamps plugged into outlets and none of them tied to a switch. This switch mounts anywhere you want and connects to the hue hub. You can use it like a normal switch, dimmer and also set the lights to different lighting color moods. If you have hue bulbs in a room with a similar set up, this switch is very helpful

This is a must have for every room with hue lights. Let’s you set several programmed light settings and acts a dimmer switch. Batteries every couple of years. Very simple way to control your hue lights with presets.

OMG this switch is a LIFESAVER! Here is why I really got this device: I had a light that wouldn't reset and it was up 15 feet in the ceiling and I had heard that I could use the dimmer switch to reset a bulb manually. I googled the instructions and it worked instantly and my bulb flashed to show it was reset successfully. I also like the fact that it's magnetic so I can stick the switch to any metal surface which is slick. I'm really happy with this device. It made my life a lot easier!

This is the newer version of the hue switch. We have one of the older ones too. I like the ease of use and setup was a breeze. Highly recommend if looking for a switch that's compatible to your hue lights.

These switches are the best because the wall switches in my bedrooms do not control the ceiling lights. It is so nice to be able to use these switches to control my hue light bulbs. Reliable and easy to use

I have multiple Hue lights, some in ceiling cans, others in floor or table lamps. I think the system is exceptional. There are many times, however, when I either don’t want to take my phone out to turn the light on or off, or talk out loud to Siri for it to do it. There are also times when people visit and don’t know the Hue system. That’s when this switch is perfect. The switch can be placed on any wall, fits with my regular light switches, can be programmed, can be taken with you, and is easy to add to the system. I can’t do without them.

This is the simplest way to add a light switch without fusing with wires and potentially shocking ones self. If you already have the Hue light system in your house, it is as simple as adding a bulb. I was fortunate to find it on sale at Bestbuy. So simple and elegantly and it assimilates into my hue system with easy. Got it for my elderly parent who struggles with Arthritis and could no longer turn a traditional lamp switch. Now he enjoys simple on and off and recently discovered mood lighting with the dimmer. A must buy if you are needing to update your living room lighting.

The over all design has been rounded so it fits in your hand better. It is nice having the on and off button be the same. This is very nice for my house because our living room dose not have a light switch and only has lamps. This device works perfectly.

Great switch! Bought for a table lamp. Previously we used a simple on/off switch for this lamp, but this gives us the ability to add scenes to the lamp.

It's been five months now and we still haven't got used to the on button being the off button too instead of on and scene selection like the previous switches! The product is fine, especially if you're just buying in as a new user or an existing one without any switches, just not sure what prompted a redesign as i would imagine it leaves the majority of hue owners with an inconsistent experience unless they had bought every one they would ever need pre design change, which we didn't. The old switch was more intuitive to use from a UX perspective - there's less chance you would immediately be turning them off after turning them on, but plenty of chance you might change the scene when you turned them on, and doing that with a single button still seems more user friendly. Between this and the app redesign it feels like stuff has been getting changed at hue simply for the sake of it, rather than because customers were asking for it
