These lights are no doubt the best. Easy connect, HomeKit compatibility means Siri turns my lights on/off and a solid app. Downside is the price. These are no doubt the most expensive lights on the market at $199 and I'm still a little unsure that price point was worth it.

I put the bulbs in floor lamps pointing at the walls in my home theater room. I set the bulbs up with my Harmony remote Smart Hub system. In my home theater room, if I tell Harmony to start Xbox One, rooms glows green on the walls, PS4 it turns blue. Watch a movie and it does a darker color to create a feeling of atmosphere. When I hit the off button on my harmony system, lights turn off with it. Pretty easy to use! Setup is a little more involved, but if you can use a smart phone app, it steps you through every part and is easy.

This is actually a combination review from my 13 y.o. child (who uses it) and myself (the never-used-it-before parent)....Widget works well as a shortcut controller but access into the main app is slow. Not like the old school days of flicking a switch to turn the light on/off. The rest is pretty neat...you can darken or brighten, change colors, hues, turn on/off as alarm, set "scenes" (shortcut to preset light settings).....BUT we tried Ilumi first before this and it had more FUN features...Torch (which followed your phone around turning on/off lights as you passed them), Red Light/Green Light (where you follow the lighting sequence like the Simon game), and lights can go with the beat of the music playing from your phone (ONLY working with preloaded music on your phone. Did not work with Pandora, Spotify, etc). The Ilumi light malfunctioned only a few months after it's first use (It would randomly flash blue/red continuously until AFTER a manual reset) so for this reason alone, we like the Philips over the Ilumi. No problems with the Philips light so far but have only had it a little over a month. Fingers crossed!!

The remote controlling and geofencing feature is a great addition to any house looking to get smarter! The bulbs can change to so many colors and with the help of some apps, you can make the colors change to the beat of music. It's also perfect for lighting up the house during holiday season.

I wish I knew about these lights before I spent $20 dollars on a not so bright bulb. Long story short, I was just looking for a Red light bulb, you know like back in the day. I found a multicolored bulb, but was disappointed on how low the brightness was, even on white. I did some more research and found these. These things are BRIGHT! I am more than satisfied with that alone. The colors are strong, it was easy to set up, and I would recommend these to anyone who can afford to splurge. But honesty I would say get these even if they are out your budget, for the mere fact that color can affect your health in positive ways.

I was questionable about this purchase initially, but once I got it installed (which was fairly easy), I was not disappointed. They have great presets available out of the box which demonstrate the lights diverse capacity to create vivid colors. I love the iPhone and Siri integration.

Easy to install and operate. Only issue was that the app from Philips is limited to android and iOS only. I use a windows phone so I could not get the same control. My wife uses it on her iphone 6 and its great. I even setup IFTTT recipes to turn on and off lights automatically based upon certain conditions.

The philips hue system is the best choice to automate your lighting without having to rewire anything at all. Hue bulbs are a little pricey but the same as every other comparable color changing bulb on the market.

These bulbs, I tell ya. I didn't think I'd need them and then a friend got them, and so I was like "well... sure." and then I did and now I'm hopelessly addicted. Ended up getting several more so now my entire house lights up. Dinged a star though because the interface is not the best. But I do appreciate that the Hue bulbs are interactive with IFTTT and also my Amazon Echo.

Easy setup, would be 5 stars if app was a little better and a little pricey

I bought an Echo earlier this year, and I couldn't wait to get some smart lighting to use with it. When these were on sale for Black Friday, it was a great entry price point to add these to my house. They are very easy to set up, and once installed, the possibilities are endless. Through the free App, I am able to set up all types of scenes to add color based on the mood we want to set. I can use the Echo to turn on one or all of the lights, and I can activate the scenes as well. It incorporates very nicely and I can't want to add more lights to my collection.

I use these for mood lighting and to help my sleep. it's easy to set the schedule and get warm light in the evening to help me go to sleep, and a more cold, intense light in the morning which usually wakes me up before the alarm clock. Love them

Warning, these lights are addictive. Once you start switching out bulbs, it's cool, fun, etc... and soon you'll be wanting to add more bulbs. It was fast and easy to setup. No problems.

I purchased this to add some extra effects to the basement. Literally within 10 mins I had it up and running. The only draw back I can find is that I want to keep purchasing more for the rest of the house. At $55 a bulb that lasts approx. 3 years, it's a pretty steep price. As for the product itself, it's easily integrated with Apple's HomeKit and the Amazon Echo Dot. I would like to see more instructions around setting up lights to music or movies playing. After a few apps however my lights are perfect along with music playing.

It took me almost 2 years to replace all of the bulbs in my house with the Hue lights. (They're a bit pricey so I couldn't afford to do it all at once.) The ability to change the look and feel of your house with a single click is amazing.

I found this lighting system fairly easy to setup. Works quite well with Alexa. Tons of colors can be coordinated for different events.

I love how easy it is to control the lights and change to any color from your phone. The location feature is great also. I love how the lights turn on to my favorite setting when I arrive at home. I just wish there were 4 packs of the color bulbs to bring the price down a bit. I would love to have them all over my house!

I love this product for its ease to setup and start controlling. I had the product out of the box and working in under 5 minutes. It allows me to also control the fixtures when I'm away from home too, set presets and set timers.

My wife & I purchased this on a whim, and love it. Easy to set up & control. Can turn on the lights inside the house & outside if we stayed away from home into the evening, Before we get home.. great concept, we love it

What is it about the ability to change things with the flick of your finger that is so awesome? These hue lights are BEYOND cool. A little pricey, yes, but I think it's worth it. The setup was a snap, literally just plug it in and go. They are so much brighter than out old energy saver bulbs, and the ability to dim/change the color whenever we want it awesome. Plus its pretty cool to be able to turn off the lights from your phone while you're cozy in bed. That's probably the best part haha.
