Thought this would be a great addition to my media room. But after the initial purchase, needed to buy 3 more and the adapters, got way too expensive, so I returned.

It's a decent lighting system but costs way too much for what you get in the box and the extensions are pricey too. Buy at your own risk but you will shell out some cash.

I like it very much but it's so expensive. So pricy that I can't justify paying more to extend the light strip anymore. It'll be my first and last light strip from Hue, unless they decide to lower the prices a bit.

I enjoy the colors that this can produce. It is very bright. I wish you could set it to cycle through multiple colors at the same time however. It would be nice to have for example red / blue going at the same time

Ok, so I have bought 3 of these lights for my apartment a d 2 of them work ok. 1 of the strips has a false connection with a power block that came with it and doesn't seem to work u less I hold it together at a certain angle. I had to tape it down and it still doesn't work sometimes. My 2nd strip work ok but some of the lights are dead and won't change color and i can no longer return it unfortunately. They're a nice idea for lights but don't have the best functionality.

This is a very interesting light gadget but not as easy to install as it represents. I tried several times but was not able to do it properly

I picked these up (along with the new dimmer switch) at my local Best Buy Saturday. Apparently, they weren't supposed to be on the shelves yet. Who knew. Anyway, I got this to use as under-cabinet lighting in my kitchen. As anyone who has read the reviews will know, the first-generation strips were not bright enough to use for task lighting in a kitchen. The same can't be said about the new Plus strips. They can provide all of the light you need and more. Before I could set them (and the dimmer) up, I had to update the firmware on the hub. When I added the Plus strip, the app added 3 items, 2 Color Strips and an Extended Color strip. The two Color Strips were not reachable, though, and I later deleted them. This may be a glitch in the software, but didn't interfere with control of the strip. The only negative, at least in comparison to the original strips, is that the power brick is much larger than the first-generation strips. Given that the Plus strip can be extended out to 10 meters, I suppose it must be bigger, but it is something to keep in mind if planning to hide the wires and boxes. I already had two other original light strips in the kitchen. Because of the vast disparity in output, I will probably end up repurposing them and installing new Plus strips instead. These strips are real lighting, not just special effects. When running for pure ambiance, I'm running about 30%. The addition of white LEDs makes a world of difference in the color. The white is warm and brings out the color of the tile backsplash. In fact, I have a new appreciation for my tiling job now that it is no longer in the shadows. As I said, I will probably be adding more of these to my kitchen.

When I purchase this I asked the person if I needed the hub. But he said no it will work without it. Got the item and check it does require the Hue Hub.

extremely expensive for lights. Plus you need an extra device that costs just as much to light it up. no thanks.

For the cost of this product you would think it would have alot more color versatility than it currently has. This item is way too expensive for what you get. Would not buy again!

I bought this as an accessory to the Hue Starter Light Kit. A good accessory, but I wish it was a bit more pliable for adhesion to the back of the telly.

the lights are great, and look awesome under the kitchen cabinets. The only issue is that the strips are not sticky enough, I had to add double sided tape to a few areas.

I wasn't to impressed, it needs to be tweaked a bit more, I mean for the non tech type. It would make a great gift for the tech person in your life a bit pricey thou.

Doesn’t tell you that you need to spend another $60 on a Phillips Hub. They’re just trying to make money! Watch a video before you buy, there are better and cheaper options, and they actually have Bluetooth/WiFi! This should be worth $20 without that.

After the first one started malfunctioning I returned it for a nother but then the glue strip on back is no good.

Product is great but had to return several times to get a working one. Out of the package the lights were not all working appropriately.

Only issue is company will not help you if something’s is not working. Like the desktop app from the same company

Definitely not as good as my LIFX Z strip. The Hue strip can only be one color at a time, while the LIFX strip can be a dozen colors at once.

I am a fan of the Phillips lighting, however I do not care for the light strip. It does not bend very well. I tried to make a 90 degree splice with some connectors I found on line and ended up ruining an entire strip. If you don't have to make a bend it works great, a single strip across the top or bottom of a tv is ok, but trying to go around the entire tv is not very user friendly.

It was a great product working the way it should until I cut it then it would not shut off or change color. I had to buy another strip.
