purchased with the information that an electrician would help install and set up with Goggle home - never happened

Didn’t like it so I returned. You are able to cut then to length but why after spending all that money on them

I’m not sure what happened I had these for 2 weeks and now it won’t turn on at all?

really cool addition to mancave room. Love how easy it is to use and change colors. Bright and easy to dim if necessary. Gives off great ambient light wherever you put it.

Mine was defective. Some of the LEDS didn't turn on and I ended up returning mine.

This were dim and terrible. Much better options available now for less money.

It's hard to go wrong with anything in the Hue ecosystem - as long as you're content to be locked into it. Albeit usually the more expensive than other options out there, the bulbs always perform great and have great color production. The strips are no exception, but I'll be the first to admit they are really expensive for what they are. Philips definitely collects a premium on every set sold. They are hands down my favorite product in their lineup, and have seemingly endless ways and places to run the them. I currently have 5 strips throughout the house that I've collected over the years and there are still other areas I'd love to keep adding. One drawback I think they need to improve on, is the ability to cut to size... and the following inability to reconnect them. Once you cut the strip to size, the excess becomes garbage (unless you're an expert soldering master). Usually running ballpark $90 per strip, the more you trim off, the even more expensive they become. I hope that future generations of strips introduce a more accommodating way to re-use or re-connect your discarded lengths.

I purchased 7 sets of HUE strip lights, some are extensions, but most are the full size ...for display in my house windows during the Christmas holidays. I tape the strips to the edge of the window frame and connect the power cord to a remote controls device. I can adjust the color of the window display via my phone. There are a number of HUE applications that can be downloaded. The appearance of the lighting from outside the house is amazing and very dramatic. Worth the purchase.

Great product. Love controlling it with the Hue Pro App. Truly amazing range of programmable colors. Bright colors can also illuminate an entire room.

I'm only posting this to point out an error on the product page, however minor and academic for most purchasers (if you are able to correct it though, there's no need to post this "review.") The product title says its length is 6'6", and the description says it's 6.6-foot, but the two are not the same. If the first number is the correct length, that would be 6.5 feet. (There are 12 inches in 1 foot, but the fractions after the decimal point in the second number are the number of 1/10ths -- possibly too academic a distinction for most purchasers.) Thanks.

If you have a Hue system, this will brighten up any space. We recently re-did our TV setup in our living room and just adding the light strip behind the low-to-the-ground shelving unit brightens up the space so much. With a third party app, you can even have the lights auto match the TVs color, which is perfect for a music visualizer on an Apple TV. Chances are you know what you’re buying this for, but if you don’t, just imagine the possibilities. One note though, do make sure it’s hidden. This is meant to glow in a way, from behind something, not to be the actual light you look at.

I bought this due to a lack of space for a conventional lamp in my bedroom, and purchased these to apply on the back of my TV. It works wonderfully, and allows light to fill the room, without the causing a glare on the actual TV itself. The color changing options are on point as well, with very deep vibrant colors. The only downside is that it is the strip cannot bend at 90 degrees, so some of the strip sticks up from the TV, but overall it is not a big issue. The real problem is the addictive qualities that the Hue smart lights have. I recently purchased a second set to apply to my living room TV. No regrets...

Pros: 1600 lumens is very bright. The colors are exactly what you'd hope they would be. HomeKit support! Cons: If you cut the strip, you lose the piece you cut off. It can't be reconnected. A little expensive for 2 meters.

For an LED lightstrip, it is a little expensive, but they put out every color and are easy to mold and attach to various surfaces and areas.

I used this lightstrip to put around my TV. It fits perfectly! The product works amazingly, just as you would expect. Only thing is that the product is a bit pricey and I wish the adhesive would stick better.

A great supplement to Philips other Hue products. Great for under cabinet lighting, as ambiant lighting behind a wall mounted TV, or a million other places. Strips can be Daisy chained together for added length, or cut down as you see fit. Wouldn't recommend this as your first Hue product, but it's definitely a no brainier purchase to add on.

The colors are great. I use it behind my TV and it adds a certain vibe to the room that I can't explain. It's relaxing; its weird to say about a color light, but it can adjust your mood. The colors from this strip are excellent. The App is easy to use and it works with the Amazon Echo. If you have a Philips Hue bridge or thinking about getting one, this is a light you should get!

I was surprised to get this led strip home to find out that there is a newer, brighter version available elsewhere for the same price. I would have returned this item for the newer version if I had not already installed it. Function and looks are great, but once I knew it was the old version, some of the appeal lessened for me. Would buy again for reduced price, knowing what I am getting.

They are WAY better then the first lightstrips plus from hue! They brighter I don't really have to use my over reading light lamp from hue, because they so bright!! I love these light so much!!! They are the best! I like how you can unplug them from the box to run the light. others you can't unplug the box. Great Job Hue!!!
