Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Hue Lightstrip Plus's brightness, ease of use, and the ambiance it creates. Many also appreciate its compatibility with other smart home systems and the relatively simple installation process. However, some customers find the price to be high, and a few have noted concerns about the adhesive strength and the length of the lightstrip. Overall, the positive feedback on brightness, ease of use, and ambiance outweighs the negative comments regarding price and adhesive.

Great for adding light to a room

Bought this product to use with my existing Hue lights. Applied strip to the back of my entertainment stand to light up my posters above. Works great. Thinking of purchasing a second one to add light under the bottom of my glass computer desk.

    I love this but

I really love the Hue light on the TV. Easy to control and make changes. However, considering that it is often shown with it on the TV, I attached it to the back of the TV and took a bit of a work to make it "bend" around the corners. Actually does not bend and had to tape it so it fit well.

The length of these in the kit are the perfect for an 8ft desk we built for the office - used with our smart home system we love the ambience it gives our workspace!

Great Addition to the HUE Lights

I recently started to install HUE lights at home. No idea why I waited so long for doing it. The lightstrips are under the kitchen cabinets (three of them and one extension). Four stars as they are fragile when you need to cut them (killed one).

Works great when paired with music apps and Alexa. Better value for money relative to individual Hue lights if opted for decor purposes

We decided to use these behind a book shelf in the office for accent lighting. The strip is super bright! Our original intention was to use this as under cabinet accent lighting in the kitchen, but our layout did not work

Fiddly, finicky and not so great once installed

Purchased the light strip kit and extensions. No one at the store told me that I would need the hub, so that was another trip back to Best Buy to purchase this item to make it work. Then, I asked if the strips were dimmable and was told yes, and i did not need to but the dimmer separately. Guess what? I did need the separate dimmer, so yet another trip back to Best Buy to purchase that, too!! Then, when I tried to install, it seems that the Hue Hub really, really likes you to have some of their lights, too!!! But if you call service tech help three times, they can finally tell you how to get the system to work without having any actual lights!! BUT, you have to take apart the already installed light strips and take them to within 3 FEET of the wifi ethernet connection to get them to link! The most ridiculous system I have ever seen! Finally got it all linked up, only to find that the strips do not DIM without the dimmer unit! They do have different settings, but no dimming on the basic Hue app. Final insult is that the sticky back application side doesn't stick to a painted surface. So plan on buying your own double sided tape to make the strip stick down! This system is rinky-dinky. It's a good idea, but very poorly designed and the lights are really bright and nothing like what they show on their photographs. My assessment is: Do Not Buy this. Maybe the lights work ok, but the strips do not!

They're everything I thought and hoped they'd be. I just recently started using them, and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend.

    Adhesive is horrible!

I purchased these and the adhesive does not stick! In one room they fall down all the time. I called Phillips and they told me that the new adhesive is not as strong as previous one. Now all they do is fall down. I took them down to put command adhesive that they told me to put on and in my daughter's room the original adhesive where it was still adhering it made the paint bubble. I also put them under the cabinets in the kitchen. Where it bends up at the end of the cabinet it constantly comes off! I put command there as well and it pulled off the color on the cabinet! I called Phillips and they denied I called! REALLY! They are the worst!

No right angles.. Don't get this for your TV

I bought this and an extension to put on the back of a 65" TV. I bought enough so it could go around the top, bottom and both sides of the TV. Problem is because it is a flat tape, you can't bend it in 90 degree angles. You can go straight, you can coil it, you can take it down a flight of stairs but you can't make a right or left turn with it. So to do what I wanted to do, I would have either had to figure out a way to attach the tape perpendicular to the TV or cut into pieces which would then require me to buy 4 strips. Returning.
