This extension was perfect to wrap the top of my cabinets with the hues lights. I had previously purchased the hue lightstrip and it was not long enough to cover all my cabinets. In comes the extension! Easy to connect, and now I have full coverage.

The lights are awesome. Very bright and cool how you can extend the regular light strip. However, for $30 I wish the strip extension was a bit longer. I got it home and setup before I realized I needed two extensions.

Very nice to just plug in to extend without adding a complete light that must be synced to the hub.

I attached this strip to the back of my TV - surrounding it like a frame and it adds a beautiful glow on the wall behind it adding a more immersive experience for game playing or movie watching. I use my Google Home or SERI on my phone to tell it how bright and what color I want it .
My only complaint is the adhesive will not stick to anything. I used clear packing tape and that held it to the back of the TV.

I had a single A19 mounted behind my tv for bias lighting. I got the strip and extender to go all the way around my 60" tv. looks great. had to re-tape the light stripe twice so far. the original light strip will have the red chanel cut out if I press to hard on one of the corners.

The adhesive doesn’t stick. And I had to return the extension led lights because a section stopped working (look at photo). To get the lights to stay up along to top of the wall near ceiling I had to get gorilla tape at Home Depot. The app is great and user friendly.

These Hue strips - and all of their bulbs - are a fantastic addition to our smart home. We have the strips lying on top of our kitchen cabinets and they give a beautiful additional lighted glow to our home. A few tips:
1) You can integrate these with Harmony remotes, Wink, Alexa, etc... In addition, we use programmed routines through IFTT so we can just say or push a button to "trigger reading", e.g., and have all the right light settings immediately set. We use Hue, WeMo switches, and Lutron dimmers all together through the various apps. They work great on Android or iOS.
2) These plug into a regular outlet. Very simple and easy to set up.
3) You can get two foot extension segments or cut the strips to the length you need.
4) We use some other fun apps through our phones, like Disco or Halloween to have the lights do different things. It's so fun and impressive to see all of the colors.
5) You can also use IFTT to have your lights change color, e.g., when your favorite team is playing, if it's raining, or if the space station flies over, just to geek out.
I don't think you can have a more beautiful or more affordable way to upgrade your lights.

Good, but look for defective strips

I have purchased a few of these extension kits so far, and I have setup most of them. The extension kits work as the instructions indicate they should. I was able to add one or more of these strips to the main Lightstrip Plus strand. Everything easily connects together, and there are marks around every 12 inches that allow you to shorten the strip if needed.
After setting everything up, I would have given the product four stars due to how easy it was to add these strips into the primary lights (I took off a star due to the lack of places I can install these strips because the strips do not bend side to side much at all). I did some basic testing after the install, and everything appeared to be working perfectly.
However, a short time after the install, I started playing around with the lights more on Halloween with my kids. What I discovered was that two of my extension strips were defective. I discovered the problem as I started testing the various hues of each color available in the Hue App.
As the lights changed, I realized that there was about a 12" section on each extension strip that did not match the rest of the lights on that strip when changed to certain colors. This was noticed on strips that had not been cut, or shorted in any way. I have included pictures of the lights to help you see what I mean. The issue was only noticeable when selecting the light colors seen in the photos. Any other color, and the lights matched the rest of the Lightstrip Plus perfectly.
I ended up taking the two defective extension strips back to Best Buy, which they returned without a hassle. I bought these the day they were first available in the store, so maybe there was a slight production issues with some of these in the beginning. The rest of my extension strips seem to work fine. However, because of my experience with the two I returned, make sure you test out all possible colors by using the Hue App (or something similar) in order to be sure you have a fully functioning extension strip.
