We have a ton of Hue products. We have 7 of the regular color changing bulbs, a bloom and an LED indoor strip... now these. We had the indoor strip behind the TV, but the adhesive wore off, and half the strand displays another color than requested. Here enters my love for this product. These lights are perfect for behind the TV lighting and looks amazing. It gives way more light than the LED strand, and it’s way less maintenance than the adhesive issues we had with the strand. Each light has its own power cord, and the cord is about 5 feet long. It was plenty of length to get from the back of the TV to the floor. The lights have a pretty small footprint compared to the light strand too. Installation is simple... you have the option of letting them rest freely or you may attach them to mounts. We attached them to the included mounts, and then used the, also included, adhesive pads to attach it to the back of the TV. Let’s hope the adhesive is better than the strand - time will tell. Bottom line, this is about as good as it gets for ambient lighting behind a TV. I find with the ambient lighting my attention is more focused on the screen and my eyes wander less. Maybe because the image on the TV sticks out more depending on the level of contrast you have... just a thought. Anyway, I would highly recommend these.

I’ve been a little obsessed with Hue lighting ever since I got my first couple of bulbs. These are far and beyond my favorite Hue product. I’m currently using them with my gaming PC setup, and also on shelves in our living room. If you were considering the light strip for anything, I would also consider these because I think they are far better for many situations. If you are on the fence, trust me, get these!!!

Like usual Philips makes it look greater than it is. Lights werent as bright and that blows.

I recently got into Hue products. I've been considering these light bars since they got announced in the summer. Originally I thought the light output would not be that great. But it is! What's in the box? You can either place it on your TV stand or mount it to your TV. It comes with: 1. Two TV stand mounts 2. Two TV mounts with double sided tape. 3. Power supply. You can connect up to 3 play bars to one power supply. Which helps if you don't have many outlets. Setup is a breeze as usual.with Hue products. Overall I'm incredibly taken back. Even for a big TV like mine, two bars is good enough to cover the wall. The price is a bit steep for Hue products. But they are truly all great products. They simply just work great. These do require a hue hub. So don't buy these if you don't have that. 5 stars all around from me.

Easy to install and setup and look fantastic. Each light can be manually set to a color which is cool. Had 4 behind my TV with hue sync and it looked so cool. Sync box not required if streaming from a pc with the free app. To sync though you need a hue bridge. If you are considering 4+ bars for behind your TV look into getting a gradient strip. It's cheaper and takes the place of 7 light bars.

Phillips hue Lighting is one of - if not the best on the market for whole-home lighting. While it is not the biggest in price to performance we might be shocked to find out that it poses a bigger value than originally anticipated. I use these in my kitchen as I rent and can't alter the cabinetry to slide a LED strip in without being visible and these fit and fill my kitchen BEYOND expectation. Let's start with the Home Ecosystem - this works with google home and apple home with EASE! I originally had Homekit as my original Home ecosystem however I switched to google because I prefer the ecosystem better and it has better integration with my Nest Cameras. However, this isn't about google home or Homekit! The lights are easily broken up into rooms to be called on at any moment be it lights on/off, change color, brightness, or if you have them integrated into your routine they can be controlled on a light-by-light basis giving you maximum control. The Phillips Hue App - This is how all apps should be, you could be convinced that this is a product owned by apple as it is THAT refined. The app gives you full home accessibility with or without a whole smart home ecosystem and it works QUICK. You can automate the lights to go on or off at times or when you come/leave home using a geolocator (the location of your phone vs the activation circle of your home) and to my surprise, it was pretty accurate. The LED lights/strips themselves are quite bright - enough that they can not be above 25% at night even as a walkway light, so do not fear that they will not fill up a room because they will. the Build quality is great and I have never received one that didn't work (and I have well over 10 bulbs, 7 or 8 strips, enough to know) out of the box. The only caveat I have against the lights is particularly against the LED strips and the 3m tape. It is great for MOST applications however on soft surfaces or the back of some TV's you will need to use another adhesive (I use alien tape or a good double-sided sticky) to make them stick long term. The lights are also all well sized and well cabled so if you don't want anyone to see a light in your kitchen they never will! Warranty - I did have to warranty one LED strip because it would light up two different colors (and no these lights don't have gradient built into them unless you get the wall LED's that specifically state they have gradient color lighting) when it was supposed to only be white so therefore I had my first RMA. It was effortless and smooth with zero complaints. There was no RMA hero as it was just a quick call and easy process. Longevity - I have had bulbs going on 4 years of everyday use and they still are just as bright as my newer bulbs and as far as LED strips none of mine have started to fade or have diodes die. Overall - I couldn't recommend these lights more for a cohesive integration into everyday life. While they might be on the more expensive side of Lights you get what you pay for here and you can do some funky stuff with them - for instance, I use the exterior LED lights inside because it is easy to make cool quick wall art out of them. If you are going to spend the money to convert your whole home over to a light eco system, spend the money and do it right so you never have to do it again. Phillips Hue stands behind their products and so do I.

Excellent product very easy to control via third-party apps and the Philips hue line of software. My particular issue is the lack of information about the refresh rate of hue lights. For years I had nasty looking video in my office because mismatched hz in their different products. You can change the shutter speed but then the other lights will flicker if you have more hue lights. I still use these but I ended up just buying video production lights for when I'm shooting video. They won't flicker or cause issue. Otherwise this is a great product unless you're trying to be a YouTuber or have a video production studio.
