Like pretty much all Hue products, the Tap Remote Switch is pricey. But it offers the convenience of not grabbing for your phone every time you want to change your lighting settings. I didn't mount it to a surface using the included peel and stick feature, choosing instead to use it as a switch than can be moved to wherever in the room it's needed. I wish it was cheaper but it was worth it for me.

Its a new fangled non battery needing light switch that cost almost as much as a starter kit. . Yes, it works but just to expensive. if it cost $10 I could recomend.

For the price, this item doesn't really have many more features than the hue light switch. I ultimately decided to return this and just get the light switch instead.

Get the dimmer switches for half the price. I bought two of the taps and while the kinetic energy power thing is neat I found the tap to be sketchy to work with. Unless you stick it down with something it will turn and you end up hitting the wrong buttons (not to mention having to remember which button does which lights). As I said before get the $25 dimmer switches. They work better at least for me. You lose one option for the same money but get dimming that you don't get from the tap switch

The Hue Tap is easy to install and set up. It provides very useful and convenient functions for the Hue lights. It doesn't use batteries so that's a plus. In my experience it has worked flawlessly to turn on scenes and turn off the lights. The only thing I don't like about it's the price. I feel this product should be about $30. Otherwise, it's a great product in my opinion.

The switch is a nice alternative to have instead of always needing to pull out your phone for the lights. However you need to make sure you press the switch in pretty hard to make sure it works. Also, only having 3 options for color settings at a price of $60 is a bit high. . If you can get this for $30 or less, it's probably worth it

On of my biggest issues with hue is when the power is shutoff to the lights they lose their memory. With the Tap it is a way of getting around this. Setting up of several defaults will allow you to sett the lighting up even when all power is dropped. It is very expensive for what it is, but cutting the reliance to a phone or pc is handy. Also there are apps out there that allow you to get even more setup functionality with the Tap

Fairly expensive, for a button, but it's always connected to the Hue bridge. Meaning it should be ready to respond to any button you press. I'd been looking to get one of these for some time now and so far I'm liking it. Wall/table mount with 3M adhesive strips or you can bolt it to a wall or piece of furniture. Remove the button from the mount and take it with you around your house. I'm mostly using it as a switch to set my lights in the morning as I get out of bed.

I love the Hue personally. You will be wanting these for that familiar light switch feel that your phone just is too weird for always pulling out at say...2 AM... GENERAL BULB REVIEW: OK, yes they are expensive...But, they are awesome. If you buy only a couple at a time and wait for sales at Best buy (they DO have them from time to time) You can eventually have the whole house set up. Speaking of set-up, it is relatively easy for even a novice. I do have suspicions however, that they take up a bit of the bandwidth if that is an issue for you. They work best if your home is primarily light colored walls, as you can completely have a new look whenever you want to by uploading any picture or color scheme that suits your mood and...Bam, new paint!

After buying my Hue lux lights I became dependent on my smart phone to turn on/off my lights which is very time consuming. So I ended up buying the tap. My first installation was difficult because I thought that the buttons was not responding and later returned it for a replacement. It turns out that you have to push the three buttons really hard so that the middle part also clicks. This is because there is a magnetic switch that turned the circuit board on that allows it to communicate with the bridge, therefore it does not require a battery but it is just really hard to push but it takes a little time to get used to. Also the this product is really expensive. I would defintely buy another one if they lowered the price. 59 dollars is not cheap. But overall it is a good product.
