This bulb is nice but it's not like the multi color bulb this bulb in my opinion is for a small lamp on a table or in a small lamp in a powder room!

These bulbs are the best. Can't go wrong on the price for a standard Bulb. The color bulbs are expensive, but the possibilities and associated apps are endless.

I have Hue bulbs throughout my home and decided I just need a regular white bulb over the kitchen sink. I installed this bulb on a dimmer switch and when using the Hue app on my iPhone to dim this bulb, I get a little flicker at the dimmest setting. This could be caused by my dimmer switch but I do not get the same result from two other Hue color bulbs on the same switch.

I really like the hue bulbs and the light that they put out. Their smart home features integrate nicely and we continue to find ways they make our lives easier in our house. That being said, this is my first try with a white only bulb. Likely in the future will stick with the white/color bulbs which are significantly more costly--that being said, for the amount of time LEDs last, I like having options.

Philips bulbs are not expensive if you compare their life and power consumption to normal incondescent bulbs. The white bulb packaging is misleading to some as it shows a muticolor logo making one think they got a color bulb. Philips is the way to go with Alexa and your connected home. "Alexa, set the kitchen lights to 30%."

These bulbs work great with the hue app, Apple home, and Alexa. They are very easy to install, a lot easier than smart switches which involve electrical wiring. You just screw these in, pair them, and name them. While the color bulbs are a little expensive, the regular white bulb is not much more than a non-smart LED. Great buy!

I tried the cheaper Cree bulbs and got two to work, but then I couldn't link any more, so I was glad to see the Hue bulbs drop to $14.99. They work every time with my older round Hue Hub and I have probably 5 or 6 going and a couple of spare bulbs ready to go. Can't afford the Color Bulbs and I'd have to upgrade to the newer square hub to get fancy. I'm pretty happy over all with just white bulbs so far. Only issue I have is they all come on full blast after a power failure. Fortunately where we live that's rare, but I worry about that if I'm away for a few days. Good to check up with the Hue app on my phone once in a while when we're away from home.

Although it's cool to turn your lights on with your voice, these can be frustrating. The interface between the Alexa devices and the Phillips bridge it touchy. You have to state the lights name EXACTLY. You can't say "Bedroom light on" when it's listed as "Bedroom lights". Also the inner network between the bulbs is weak. Sometimes devices are not "reachable". As far as changing color on the color bulbs, the scenes part of the app sucks. Work great with your smartphone but as far as voice control forget it.
