Ok, these aren't the cheapest bulbs but I do quite appreciate that they are bluetooth smart bulbs that can dim and change their hue from a very blue light (which is great for studying) to a warm sodium yellow (which is soothing and when dimmed make for a great night light). They were easy to set up with the Philips app and so far are working perfectly with my gen 3 Echo Dot. I just wish they were a little cheaper. That's the only reason I took one star off.

These Hue light differ from the others because they are only white. You can change the shade of white within the app. Have added these two Hue White bulbs to our existing 9 Hue Color Bulbs. We have found that we primarily only use different shades of white throughout the day and evening on our existing bulbs so thought I’d give them a shot. Setup was super easy by scanning the QR code on the side/base of the bulb using the Hue App. One main difference is they get dimmer than the original color bulbs. There is a difference if a bulb is set on 1% or 5% in a pitch black room. Also they are 800 lumens and the original are only 600 lumens which makes each bulb brighter. We’ve had our existing Hue lighting system for over 5 years and have never had a bulb go out. Even the one bulb I dropped and broke the glass still functions completely normally with the exception of the light distribution pattern. It’s more like a flood light now. I know they are expensive but these are quality bulbs that work for our family. *note - you must have the Hue Hub in order to control these lights from a Mobil device . You can turn these lights on and off, like a normal bulb, by using the existing light/lamp switch.

I really enjoy Philips Hue lights. the White Ambiance A19 smart LED Bulbs were purchased for our master bedroom to control the lighting from bed. I've been slowly purchasing these light to replace all the standard bulbs in our house. They work well with Google and Amazon assistants and are fun to control room lighting. They are especially useful for outside lighting where they can be controlled in group or singularly depending on where the light is needed. I think it has been one of the greatest improvements to lighting and smart technology.

My wife and I picked these up for our bedside lamps to run a routine to wake us up naturally instead of annoying alarms. The light is subtle and naturally better than the regular white hue bulbs for this (we tried both) purpose. There are some nice preset color tones that are nice but Alexa is unable to change or recognize these preset settings so you ALWAYS have to manually change the color of the ambience, no voice commands for that one (first world problem, I know). Given the cost of these bulbs, the value isn’t great if you live in California, because there are specialty California only bulbs and are NEVER part of a hues sales, so don’t be caught getting excited about a good price because California residents will always pay more because of the laws here. I have even tried to order in these bulbs from other places that are the regular, non California and no one will ship them despite usually running about $10-15 less. The value on these is basically, in my opinion, down to price because they are glorified white bulbs in essence, and if you can get them for $25-35 for 2 it’s worth it, otherwise I would say I wouldn’t buy these again.

These are great lights, I prefer the ambiance over the regular white bulbs as the colors can change throughout the day

I needed three bulbs for a ceiling fan, so buying the 2-pack is a better value than three separate bulbs. The White Ambiance bulbs are less expensive than the color bulbs. And in reality, for most lighting locations people are going to tend to use the whites. The white color temperatures give the full-rated lumens. Compared to the color bulbs, the non-white colors of the color bulbs don't generate the full-rated lumens. So, the White Ambiance bulbs may well be a better buy and more useful compared to the color bulbs. Note: these are not one white only, these are a range of whites (from golden to bright white). Regarding Bluetooth, be aware that the Hue BT app only works with a limited number of Bluetooth bulbs (10) and it does not support groups. So, if you have 3 bulbs in one location and 2 in another, you might have to turn them on/off all at once or one at a time and they all have to use the same theme (which could mean different shade of white, but you can't control each bulb individually). HOWEVER, if you have the Hue Bridge, then you have full control over these bulbs.

You can't go wrong with these Philips Hue lights. They make such a huge difference and being able to change the temperature makes this great for the living room and bedroom! I've got these Hue lights wired into Alexa so a simple command turns room lights on and off. I prefer these ambiance lights to the normal white lights.

Expensive compared to other options but worth the money if you have apple products. Works great with apple watch, homepod and all other siri items. Connects with other hue products easily. They are also brighter than most other smart bulbs i have tried.

The adjustable white bulbs cost a little more, but I think are definitely worth it. They especially work well in larger spaces where you may want more or less of a specific color of lighting. While they are marketed as Bluetooth bulbs and mention using a separate Philips app, they can added to the Hue Bridge if you already have one or would like to setup one later.

It's a little expensive compared to a regular light bulb, but this one is smart and has the adjustable white light. Ample lighting when on. My opinion, seems to light up a space better than the colored light. If you want a smart bulb and have a variety of white light at your fingertips, this is the light for you.

I already have the hub with other devices and bought these for my bedroom lighting. They are very responsive and compatible with Apple HomeKit when connected to a hub. I like having the light’s color temperature adapt to the time of day.

Since getting our first Hue bulb as a gift in October, we've been replacing our regular bulbs with them at a ferocious clip. It's great being able to dial in the bulbs' temperature. The color ones are even better, and half of ours are those, but they're twice the price.

Had for over a year now and never encountered a problem. Really simple to set up if connecting into a smart home system. No frills, it just works! Had another brand of smart bulbs and upgraded to these; glad I made the decision.

Very easy to use, first smart bulbs for us. We love how we can dim from our phone or just turn on and off from wall switch. Very impressed with the color. Definitely recommend for any level of high tech knowledge.

All though these are not the multicolor lights just variations of white light they work great. We can control the brightness of the lights and they were easy to add to her present Hue system.

I purchased these to finish setting up a room in my house. They easily get the job done allowing me to switch between warm and cold settings at the push of a button in the app. I would gladly buy more if the opportunity arose.

These are replacements for older hue plain white lights. The color control is definitely an improvement and the additional brightness is noticeable. Adding them to the existing system was easy.
