"Hey Alexa, Turn off kitchen lights" Yeah, It's that simple! Now that every light in my house is a Philips Hue of some sort, I sit on the couch and control the lights not having to move a muscle. Nothing worse than getting comfy on the couch and look over and realize you left the lights on in the kitchen (that's 7 lights for me) Have I gained weight? Probably not but, I feel so lazy. LOL. All jokes aside, There are so many ways to use these lights. I was in a room in the back of the house and thought I heard a noise in the front of the house. I told Alexa to turn on "ALL" lights and she lit this house up like a stadium! I was able to walk through the house and see everything without stumbling for light switches. Think about the elderly or a disabled person, how convenient it would be for them to turn on a light before entering a room instead of going to a dark room then getting the light on. These lights can be controlled from anywhere with the app on your cell phone. I found it easier to enter the serial numbers instead of having the app look for them.

My main concern when waiting for these new Gen 3 "richer color" bulbs to come out from Philllips Hue was that they still wouldn't be bright enough. Well, concern is gone. In my new finished basement I now have a mix of these bulbs and the 680 Lumen standard bulbs my contractor put in. I can't tell the difference in brightness in the slightest. The Phillips Hue bulbs do everything you've read about - controllable and dimmable from your smart phone, from Amazon Alexa, and IFTTT. Just don't worry about the brightness like I did - they get the job done!

I have many of the Hue lights in my home and these work as well as all of them. One thing I don't like about the Hue app is you can only assign a light to one group. This is normally not an issue, but I like to assign multiple groups to one command so I can turn multiple groups off at night before bed. The workaround for this is to use the lights with Amazon Echo. The Alexa app allows one light to be assigned to multiple groups. This allows me to have a light in "living room" and also "upstairs" at the same time. Other than that you can't go wrong.

The lights were purchased to enable selective light control in a large room which previously had several spot lights wired to one switch. Without rewiring the built in lights, it was either all or nothing when turning on the light switch. Now the lights can be turned on one at a time or in selected groups. The ability to change the spectrum from soft white to warm white is also very nice. Works well with Alexa. Downside is cost. But as with everything, this will likely come down with time. Or wait for a killer sale :-}

I have been using hue lights in my house for a while now. But, I wasn’t sure how well they would do outside as an uplight (lots of water contact). But, they are performing great so far (about a month now). Love the convenience

This lights just work as expected. The white light is great as i really dont like yellow lights and it has different settings that you can picked from. Overall the bulbs are great and they dont loose conection with the hub

Couldn't be happier going to Hue lights. These are used in the Kitchen, Living Room, Hearth Room, Gym and hallways. Easy to setup and use, plus energy efficient. Make the switch, you won't regret it or at least, I didn't.

After getting an Amazon Echo for Christmas, I decided to add some of these lights to our existing Hue system. Four of these bad boys in the recessed lighting in our kitchen provide the light we need. When paired with the Amazon Echo, they are pretty cool, especially at night when you are stumbling through the house to let the dog out. Wish they were a bit cheaper, but you do get good value for your money here as they are of high quality and work great with the rest of the Hue system we have in place.

Works well with Alexa, does what its supposed to do. Just make sure to write down the serial numbers on the bulbs before you install them (they're printed on the base of the bulb). You'll need the numbers if you are having trouble installing or reinstalling them with Alexa. I learned the hard way...My bulbs were installed in the ceiling 15 feet high. I had to drag the ladder out to unscrew the bulbs and get the serial numbers to reset the bulbs.

I use 3 in my living room and 2 by the fireplace. Easy to setup with the Philips Hue Hub. Works well with Apple HomeKit and Goole Home. I would give it 5 starts if it was around 850 lumens.

... I love the Hue lights that I can operate via my iPhone or via Alexa or just by the wall switch or fixture... I love that I can set up color schemes (on the color ambience ones) but can also set up the type of white tint (countless settings from warm to cooler) or the level of light (makes watching TV great!) on these White Ambiance ones. With just the sound of my voice I can turn on all of my most frequently used lights, or just certain rooms or lights... Love them!

I have many recessed can lights throughout my house and these lights are perfect! I don't need crazy colors, just to set the mood - dimming and changing white color temperature is all I need. Not to mention this 2 pack saves you 10$, and ends up being half the cost of the rainbow color changing version of the light.
If you don't need rainbow colors, then choose these - from warm light to cool light, bright or dim, the hue ambiance is my preferred lighting

Bought these for my Man Cave because i am too cheap to buy the color ones (and i have no need for them). These are very neat, and because you can choose the color temperature on these, they feel much brighter than the plain single color bulbs (seem very yellow to me). I would certainly recommend these to anyone that would put them where you spend a lot of time. I never knew how much different lighting can help a situation until you have the opportunity to change it.

So I have a bunch of HUE lights so far and these were just meant to add on to the ceiling lights in the living room. I expect them to be as good as the rest and will repost if they're not.
