Easy to install and very cool colors. Expensive though.

Works exactly as advertised. Sometimes there are issues with the hub connecting but it usually resolves itself very quickly. Way more colors than I know what to do with. The only downside is really the price, but considering that the bulb can potentially outlive me, I think it’s well worth the investment.

I have a bunch of the Gen 2 Hue can lights and decided to finished the basement and saw they updated to these Gen 3 can lights. I notice the new bulbs are fully enclosed compared to some openings on the Gen 2 that made me reconsider installing outside. Love the color and super easy to install and control.

Screw this bulb into the socket power it on and fire up the ap on your phone and you are in control.. Simple as could be... Save money and Cool colors... or Just White. SIMPLE (Note Requires Base Hub Not Included)

I have four hue bulbs, three hue strips and just got this BR30 with ticher colors and love them all. Especially this third generation. They managed to get the more difficult blues and greens to look very accurate. Wish they would come down in price a little though.

Well they are not the cheapest bulbs but the are awesome and work almost flawless. You know technology isn't ever perfect due to many variables but these bulbs are close to it. I own 11 and I can't imagine ever going back to boring 1 color light bulbs.

Fun to play with colors at Holiday's. Just set up a Halloween Scene with this and other hue color lights in outside carriage lights and indoor lights that show through windows. Also have a Christmas scene ready for later. A bit pricey, but have been very satisfied with all of my hue lights. Work well with Alexa. Was disappointed to find that there was not a BR40 version of this light.

It does everything that the box says. It is very easy to change colors and the brightness of the lights. Also great for turning on lights when you’re not home. Setup was a breeze. On top of all the cool stuff, the bulbs are super bright and provide a lot more light than my other bulbs. Only got a couple because of the price but will be buying more soon.

Purchased 4 of these BR-30s for my living room recessed lights after getting the Hue bridge A19 starter kit. Works well with Amazon Echo and Google Home, haven't tried it with HomeKit yet. So much fun to play with and different colors to choose from. The Hue presets are good making it easy to choose from different lighting moods. My only quibble is the maximum output in lumens is only 630 (65 Watt equivalent or 9W LED) replacing my 750 lumens (75 watt equivalent) PAR30 LEDs, the room looks darker even at maximum brightness. I dowloaded an app that syncs the lighting to my music, and my kids had great fun pretending they were in a club. Very pricey compared to regular LEDs, but you don't purchase these for practical reasons, not with the some times buggy Hue app, but to play around with all sorts of possibilities, including the main feature that I purchased a hue bridge for: Automation.

There are a lot of similar products but not like this one. Even though it is a bit expensive, the number of different things you can do with this are amazing!

I bought the hue hub along with a couple of lights and decided to install them. I opened the app. Typed in the serial number and hit find. Within seconds the app recognized the light and I was able to use it. Two features that I love about this product are the dimmable ability and the ability to change colors.

I love these lights, being able to change the color is so easy. There overpriced, but if you grabbed them during Black Friday it wasn't too bad.

This bulb is excellent, and surely becomes addictive to fill up the house with these bulbs. Note that you will need the hub to operate these, but the setup is very easy beyond that. Control these lights even when you are not home which is great for individuals that travel. This is definitely the future of lights. Oh, and the combination of colors is excellent.

Completed my BR30 needs with this purchase. The lighting, colors, and dim features make them a no brainer to me. Totally worth the investment.

these bulbs are awesome. If you can only do a few, put them in a group so you can design scenes and automation wtih them. We blew through some cash and got13 total (floodlights and traditional bulbs). You can do a wide range of colors and automation with them. It's a lot of fun and really changes the feel of the house. Would be good for parties, too. I love that i can turn them on and off, or change color, from the other side of the country using Apple's HOME app. Maybe it'll keep potential burglars away because I update them alot

I have used these bulbs (hub not included) to give me total control of my house. Siri or Alexa can turn them on and you can set them to come on when you arrive at night. There is value in never walking into a dark house. The colors are fun and they are stable. I highly recommend them.

We bought this to use in our bedroom and it fitted perfectly after removing the original bulbs. Using this with a routine to soft turn on the lights in the morning makes waking up so much easier in the winter. This is life-changing.

Overall, super cool & fun. Fairly easy to set up & use with Alexa or Siri. The less tech savvy in my family are less than impressed & would rather use a switch to turn the lights on, but are getting the hang of using Alexa. A bit disappointing that it takes external apps at a cost to really enjoy extensive scenes are sync to a theater system. Not sure the cost/bulb is really worth it. However, I am still learning new ways to use/enjoy these lights.

Phillips hue bulbs are the best on the market. The flood light bulb is fairly bright but the A19 puts out more lumens. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the price per bulb
