My house was built in 1999. For some reason, the builder did not put a light switch at the entrance from the garage. So frustrating to come home in the middle of the night, enter the house, and have no easy way to turn on a light without fumbling around to the kitchen switch 20 feet away. I no longer have this issue with this switch and two Hue bulbs in my family room. I mounted the switch on the wall right at the entrance from the garage (right where the builder should have placed a switch!). Now I can turn on the lights easily when I enter. The only time I have a problem is if someone turns off the lights with the switch on the lamps instead of using this switch. That's user error in my house :).

I find it takes that extra second of pushing the buttons to get a response. A few times I've had to push it a few times (I suspect that the initial presses weren't long enough). Still worth getting.

We use Hue lights in our house and its nice being able to talk to Siri to turn them on, but sometimes thats more of a hassle. This switch made our bedroom lights that much easier to use and is just adhesives to the wall. Really great, need more of these!

The Philips Hue Dimmer Switch is much easier to use than the older Philips Tap Switch...and more stylish. And it looks and behaves much more like a normal wall light switch. Bonus: You can also easily pop it off the wall and take it with you and use like a remote.

Works very well! I have one set up for two rooms attached. Has a bit of lag sometimes, but not horrid. Considering how it works, it’s perfect. The magnets are very strong too! Double side tape holds it securely to the wall. Must have! Trust me.

This remote is great for when you don't have your phone immediately available. It's fairly responsive and reliable. It would be even better if it can control more than one light, separately instead of in unison.

It's a simple remote for your lights. I like that you can configure the on button to cycle through different scenes. These are very reliable and the battery seems to last quite a long time.

Great to be able to put on the wall with little maintenance or wiring hassle.

I own 2 of these, this was purchased as a gift for my brother. Super easy to setup and start using. Love it because you don’t have to do anything to install other than stick it to the wall. Great to put by the couch or bed for easy light control.

Applied this to my headboard to control lights in the bedroom. Works great!

This connects to the Hue bridge effortlessly and works perfectly. This I now own two of these. It’s nice having a switch that can cycle through pre set modes and magnetically detaches from the base.

This dimmer switch is the perfect supplement to the Hue lighting environment. I've kind of come almost full circle on smart lighting. Starting out, I loved programming different phrases to activate certain scenes with my Hue lights through my Google Home. And for some cases, I still do. For everyday use though, I've grown tired of having to use my voice every time I enter or leave a room to turn the lights on and off. The dimmer switch is great for that, and I love that it detaches from the wall mount to turn into a remote, so I don't necessarily have to run to the wall if I want to dim the lights. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone to supplement the Hue environment if you don't want to always have to use your phone or voice control to turn lights on and off in your home.

You can cycle through 5 different scenes double tap off for instant off. Battery life is good and lasted me about six months high use. Easy to remove and relocate if needed. The switch is also magnetic but easy to loose!

This remote is EXCELLENT for the philips hue lights! I love the presets that can be programmed into the remote! Makes it super easy to turn on and off the lights even when I’m not by my phone to use the app! Would HIGHLY recommend!

These switches integrate flawlessly with hue bulbs. They just stick onto the wall anywhere you want to place them, take about 30 seconds to sync, and you're all set. Great switches.

Good switch, upgraded to this from the Lutron connected bulb remote ... it's definitely less subtle, but the nice thing is the software lets you map more functions to the On button.

Philips hue Dimmer Switch: Easily adjust your smart lighting with this convenient dimmer switch. It's compatible with your Philips hue devices and features a wall-mountable design. The switch also functions as a remote, so you can control your lighting from a distance. I removed all the light switches from my walls, wired them to stay hot constantly and then tucked them in the metal switch box in the wall, and covered them with a flat, plain electrical outlet cover (without any holes or port openings). This allowed me to stick the dimmer switches over the existing light switches without worrying that the light switches would ever accidentally be turned off, preventing the lights from connecting to the Hue bridge. The dimmers look MUCH better than modern light switches and they are magnetic, so you can remove them from their plate and use them as a remote, if you'd like. Unfortunately, they aren't perfect. If you're like me and you have a over 70 wireless devices on your network, you will experience some interference at seldom times. If you ever press the dimmer switch and nothing happens, simply hit it 1-2 more times and it will most likely make it around the interference. You could also make sure that your wireless router fully reaches throughout the entirety of your home. If it doesn't, simply by an extender or another router to use as an extender. This will help to clear up any of the "dark" areas where the signal is weaker/non-existent. All in all the Switch works nice, however the Home app definitely need work , Apple needs to go back and do an update on the Home because sometimes its hit or miss. I would give five stars if it worked flawlessly all the time.
