Very well designed product. easy to set up. Had it about 2 months. Never had a glitch. Even when my Comcast Internet was down it functioned through my wifi airport extreme

Wall switch and remote for added convenience with Hue lights. I had the lights without the switch for a long time and it is certainly doable that way. However, it started to become very annoying to have to take out my phone every time I wanted to turn on or off my lights. I now use this switch mounted on the wall as a normal light switch with dimming capabilities. I can then use my phone in conjunction with this for more fine tuning, dimming, color changes, etc... There are a number of different settings possible with the switch making it more customizable.

Love the simplicity of the hue lights and switches. Great to control by phone but also like the convenience of a wall switch. especially for guests.

I really like this product. Super easy to set up. Conveniently added a light switch where I am not able hard wire a switch. Great response every time and I love the dimming feature. Also very cool that you can remove from its base and use as a remote. I will be buying more for the house. Would definitely recommend to anyone with Hue lights!

I use this switch for my kids' bedroom, using the Philips Hue Bridge (whatever generation is current at the time of this review). It pairs / works seamlessly with the Philips Hue Bridge. It allows for the setup of 4-5 different 'Scenes'. You do not need to set a Scene for all 4 or 5 switch presses. I use a lights all on, a dimmed relax, and a nightlight. The other 1-2 switch clicks that I don't use cannot be deactivated, but if they are not programmed with a Scene, you just press the ON button to 'skip' over them. For the 4-5 Scenes, you press the ON button to get to the desired Scene; each press of the ON button simply cycles through all Scenes. The Dimmer button always functions. This switch comes with double-sided tape, so it can be attached to the wall. It holds very strong, but should come off of the wall should you need to take it off. I like that there is no permanent installation needed. The other awesome feature is that the switch portion is held on the switch by magnets, so the actual switch can be taken off and used as a remote. VERY convenient.

I was surprised to see the hue tap switch was twice the price as this switch. The only difference I saw was no battery needed for tap and that tap can turn lights on in multiple rooms independently. The dimmer is an absolute plus though!! This switch is magnetically attached to the mounting plate so the ease of bringing it to the couch, dinner table, or even the bathtub is very nice! It isn’t waterproof so be careful if you are bringing to the tub, lol!

I use two of these. Works great as a switch, and I like how it comes off the holder and works like a remote.

If you have a Hue Lighting set, then you really need this dimmer. One touch on and off, it's wireless and it looks nice on the wall! Only reason I gave it 4 stars was because occasionally it has some connection issues. Other than that, it's great!

Works well after 3 years of intense use, it is a bit battery consuming and those are hard to find, so far I can only get them on Amazon, overall a great purchase

Used this dimmer in conjunction with a Philips HUE Lightstrip inside my kitchen pantry where no electrical outlets, lights, or switches existed. The dimmer works with BASIC functions without a bridge (on/off, white color temperature, and dimming). Without the bridge it will not change RGB colors or turn on/off with ALEXA, etc. The biggest gripe I've seen with other reviews is that this doesn't mount in an existing wall switch. Please read and understand that this is a truly wireless item, no wires on the back. Just a coin-sized battery inside the remote part. The plate has magnets and can mount to a refrigerator or anything metal, but I chose to pop the front off the plate and use screws to mount it to drywall. Very cool - just mount it out of your kids' reach or they'll play with it incessantly!

This is a must have if you get the hue lights. I controls the entire system if you want it to.

Expensive, but these dimmers are easy to use, setup, and are very nice addition to the Hue's bulb lineup. I realize the technology that is required to make these cannot be cheap. But it is a big price for a light switch.

This is a great follow up to the Hue tap. This remote is good for single room use. You can only control one scene but it's very responsive and allows you to set a brightness level for that scene in 10% increments. Set up was fast and easy as are all of the Hue line up and I look forward to more great Hue products in the future.

This dimmer is great. It helps everything work better together since it gives you another way to manage your hue collection. I am using it with my A19 bulbs and it makes things faster when I'm in a hurry since it is not always convenient to pull my phone out to turn off my lights. I placed it above my original room light switch and it feels as natural to use it as it did with the original switch.

This switch is so cool. I added it to my bedroom hue setup so I could walk in and turn on all the lights with a switch at the same time. Hue makes it so easy to add accessories and they are very quick to respond. I really like how it is also a remote. It comes off the wall plate easy and reconnects with a magnet. I would recommend this if you use the hue system.

I love this dimmer. It can attach to a wall plate or stick to the wall. It even comes out of its baseplate thanks to the sorcery of magnets. You can't bring up specific scenes with this little dude, but you can turn things on & off and dim. Setup was easy and there you can switch which lights on your hub it will control. I bought this so anyone besides me can turn on or off the lights,

No wiring needed with this Hue product!!! Made a great change for lighting in our small condo. Very easy to install. When using the switch it stays with the current scene & color scheme being used; so, still need the app to change colors/scenes. If using white bulbs not as much as an issue. Surprised that the adhesive tape sticks to the wall so well.

I bought the tap switches originally and have quit using them completely in favor of these. With the minor problem of trying to set them all up at one time and getting them mixed up they do exactly what I wanted them for. They do a great job of exactly what they are supposed to do and you can assign them to single bulbs or groups of bulbs. Slowly adding these into every room.
