Customers are pleased with the Lady Electric Shaver Series 6000's ease of use, long battery life, and overall performance. Many appreciate the shaver's design and the variety of included accessories, finding them helpful for different shaving needs. However, some users noted that the shaver may not provide a close shave for longer hair. The device's effectiveness appears to depend on hair length.

A decent trimmer with some minor pitfalls

The Philips Lady Electric Shaver Series 6000 is a convenient trimmer that has a lot to offer in a little package. I'm not new to electric trimmers, but have previously only used the Norelco OneBlade (which is technically a men's trimmer) which has been my go-to for the past year because of its reliability). I will be comparing the two going forward because the OneBlade is my gold standard. The Lady Electric Shaver (which is a mouthful! I will call it the LES 6000 from here on out) is easy to hold with a smooth, ergonomic design. I liked the clean color scheme and found it more aesthetically pleasing than my OneBlade. It looks nice on the bathroom sink and comes with a plethora of accessories, some of which are more useful to me than others. The OneBlade doesn't come with a pouch or exfoliation glove, so it was certainly a pleasant surprise. The LES 6000 comes with the standard little booklet of instructions and information that the OneBlade did, and I have the same complaints about it that I did with the OB's: it needs to be more user-friendly. I would have liked a step-by-step guide with easier-to-follow illustrations instead of having to read the (entirely text-based) instructions and then go back to the other side to refer to "Fig. 16" or whatever like it's a textbook. I'm a visual learner but I think most people, even those who aren't, will find the instruction guide to be a slog. In use, it's a little loud but on par with my OneBlade. The rounded edges of the trimmer head and attachment tips make it feel gentler on the skin, especially when using the "smooth glide" attachment for those rounder areas like the kneecap and armpit. It can be used wet or dry and taken into the shower (though of course, not while plugged into the wall) which is critical for me as I, like most people, do most — if not all — of my shaving in the shower for easy cleanup. I couldn't use the OneBlade for body hair as it couldn't seem to grab my body hair well. Granted that it's a trimmer for men, I wasn't too disappointed since it works great on the pubic area. I'm E. Asian and have dark hair, but I don't grow a ton of body hair so I was convinced it would run into the same pitfalls as the OneBlade, thinking that maybe electric trimmers need a lot of hair to grab onto. To my surprise, the LES 6000 works fantastically on my body hair! It can get a pretty close shave with the trimmer comb, leaving about 0.5cm of hair if I had to guesstimate. That will leave behind noticeable hair, but as someone who personally prefers having body hair (I'm an adult human woman so of course I have body hair!) that is actually a benefit. Using the "skin stretcher" attachment gets a closer shave and only leaves behind visible stubbles. I also tried using no attachment and was pleased to see that it didn't cut the skin or cause irritation; of course, using it without an attachment gets the closest shave, but it still isn't a clean shave. To the eye, it looks pretty dang close, but it doesn't feel smooth to the touch. I didn't notice a huge difference using wet or dry. The guide recommends dry shaving, but I would say it seemed to work better on my legs wet. The LES 6000 does admirably on my body hair, but I did see it struggle with the pubic region. I just couldn't get a decent trim, even having trimmed with scissors beforehand, and it didn't get as close with the guard as it does with my OneBlade unless I took the attachment off. Trying to shave the pubic region with the trimmer comb as the instructions stipulate left behind maybe 0.5cm to 1cm of hair; in the LES 6000's defense, it was a very consistent trim but I did feel that even the standard guard on the OneBlade got closer. I gave up and used the skin stretcher cap in an attempt to get a closer trim, got down to maybe 0.25-0.3cm, which was closer to the OneBlade but still not quite there. So I then gave *that* up and just took the attachment off to see if it could match the OneBlade. Doing that, it did get pretty close since I think the OneBlade usually gets to around 0.2cm-ish with its guard on...but that's not how the LES 6000 is instructed to be used, and I don't feel safe using the trimmer without a guard on such a delicate area. This isn't a dealbreaker for me as I don't mind having ~0.3cm of hair down there (for health reasons alone, that is a good length), but if a woman wants a closer shave for date night or what have you, it will be a disappointing shave if following Phillips's instructions. A major consideration when it comes to electric trimmers is that even without an attachment/guard, you will not get as close a shave as a razor. This has its pros, as shaving can cause skin irritation, redness, ingrown hairs (which can then become infected), and razor bumps. This is especially a problem with the pubic region where cuts can become a genuine infection risk. On the other hand, some people want silky smooth skin; in this case, an electric trimmer from any brand will not work, even without using safety guards/attachments. Keeping your expectations realistic is key when getting into electric trimmers. I knocked a star off for the excessive charge time:battery life ratio. My OneBlade can charge in four hours and get a full hour; the LES 6000 needs TEN hours to have just forty minutes! When testing it out, it did run pretty close to that forty. Still, you will more or less always need to be charging this after use. I also dunno what plastic this trimmer is made out of, but hair sticks to it like nobody's business. I can easily dust off my OneBlade while shaving, but even rinsing it didn't get clean off all the hairs. The included brush is a must-have since without it you cannot get this thing clean. Overall, the Philips Lady Electric Shaver Series 6000 is a good trimmer. Since I can't use the OneBlade on my body hair, I am pleased to see that it works brilliantly for that purpose. It's well-designed, effective, and easy to use. The included "extras" are a nice cherry on top but alone are not worth opting for this over other trimmers. As it stands, I recommend the LES 6000 for women wanting to trim their body hair with an electric trimmer but the OneBlade for women wanting a closer shave as well as for men, keeping in mind that you will never get a clean shave even with the absolute best electric trimmer money can buy.

This Phillips Lady Shaver 6000, is a wet and dry shaver for women. It is very useful for trimming and grooming your bikini area, shaving your legs, shaving under your arms, and trimming wherever you need trimming. The razor comes with many accessories. The accessories included are the power handle, which after charging, lasts approximately 40-45 minutes. The charging USB cord, a white bag/pouch to hold all of the accessories and the handle, an exfoliating glove, a trimming head, a shaving head, skin stretcher cap, soft glide cap, trimming head comb, and a trimming comb. The trimmer, trimmer comb are used for the bikini area. All of the accessories are easy to clean with the useful cleaning brush. The razor doesn’t take that long to charge. Sometimes I got up to 45 minutes out of it, but most of the time it was around 38-40 minutes. It depends on how much you use it and whether or not you fully charge it or not. This is a really good set. While shaving my legs, I did have to go over them more than once. Under my arms, was the same. The trimmer, however, did a really good job using it once. I’d recommend this set to any lady that likes to keep trimmed and groomed

I've been using the Philips Lady Electric Shaver Series 6000 for a few weeks now, and overall, I’m really pleased with it. The design is sleek and comfortable to hold, and I love that it’s cordless—it makes it so much easier to use without worrying about getting tangled up. It charges fairly quickly and holds a decent charge for several uses. The shaving performance is smooth and gentle, especially on sensitive areas. I appreciate the flexibility of having multiple attachments—it definitely adds to the versatility of the device. The exfoliation head is a nice bonus and makes my skin feel softer after use. It also works well both wet and dry, which is a big plus for me since I sometimes shave in the shower. My only minor complaint is that it doesn’t get quite as close a shave as a razor blade, but that’s expected with electric shavers. Still, it's super convenient, painless, and great for quick touch-ups. If you're looking for an all-in-one grooming tool that's easy to use and gentle on the skin, this is a solid choice.

    Versatile Electric Shaver

The Lady Shaver Series 6000 by Philips is a versatile electric shaver to have in my bathroom. I am able to use it on my underarms, bikini area, and legs. On top of its versatility in body area coverage, it's also suitable for both wet and dry use. I mostly prefer dry use. This set comes with two razor heads, the main shaver and trimmer. The main shaver head comes with a 3mm comb for the bikini area, a soft glide cap for the underarms, and a skin stretcher cap for the legs. The trimmer head also comes with a 3mm comb and is smaller than the shaver head. The main shaver head works well enough on my underarms and legs with the proper attachments but in my opinion the trimmer and comb are designed better for use in the bikini area. The way the comb piece attaches to the main shaver makes it so the trimmed hair gets caught within the piece of plastic that curves under the comb teeth. It doesn’t allow the hair to fall off easily. However, the trimming head comb is built differently so loose hair doesn’t get trapped. As far as battery life, I've used it three times with no issues, and it is advertised to work for up to 40 minutes. The included pamphlet is extensive with small text, but was effective in teaching me about the accessories. This set comes with a little cleaning brush, exfoliating glove, storage pouch, and a USB charging cable; charging box/adapter is not included. I see myself continuing to use this Philips electric shaver for my legs and bikini area, but I wish the main shaver comb was designed differently. Electric shavers like these are not going to give a super close shave, which is understandable, but I did notice my Philips Norelco electric shaver gives a closer shave than this Lady Shaver Series 6000 model.

    A decent, convenient razor!

This is a decent razor! It isn’t the most precise razor in the world (which is to be expected from an electric razor), but it works fairly well. It came with a carrying pouch, several attachments, a charging cord, and an exfoliating glove. The design of the razor is great; the color is very nice and the device feels smooth and sleek. There is a slight weight to the tool that gives it a high quality feel as well! The versatility of the razor is great in that it can shave anywhere on the body (including the bikini area if desired), although it was most effective at shaving the legs. It works both wet and dry which is a great perk too. One downside is that the shaved hair tends to get trapped in the razor fairly easily instead of falling out, so it can be a hassle to have to stop and remove the hair periodically. When used on the legs, this razor provided a shave that was clean and smooth to the eye, but to the touch it was not the closest shave in the world. Overall, this razor is convenient and works very well for a quick and clean shave, but unfortunately it is better on some parts of the body than others, and you could likely get a closer shave with a plastic razor.

    Nice electric razor with trimmer

This Philips razor is pretty nice. It has two main attachments, a razor and a trimmer. Plus a host of other accessories! I think the key to using this is to go slow. I used the razor on my legs and underarms. It works well. I like that it comes with an exfoliating glove. The instructions are extensive but actually really helpful. This can be used wet or dry. I have done both. On my legs, when dry I could feel like a slight razor burn but it went away quickly. No irritation seen. In the shower, when wet I didn’t feel the burn at all. I like that it’s rechargeable, and has a light that you can see when it’s charging. Super handy! For the trimmer, that’s where I believe going slow is going to help. The instructions say to do that dry, which works, but move slowly to effectively trim the most. You can use it when wet as well, but dry will be more effective. The different heads attach and detach easily, and cleaning the razor is a breeze since you can just rinse off the attachments. Overall it’s a nice razor. Will work well when you are in a hurry in the shower and when you have time, to trim where you want as well.

    (Successful) Adventures in electric shaving

[From my wife, the only user of this Philips Lady Electric Shaver Series 6000, Cordless with 7 Accessories] I’m a newcomer to electric shaving. This past week of new experiences makes me wonder why I put off going electric. I’ve successfully used this easy-to-control shaver completely dry and also under the shower, with and without my favorite sudsy soap. All these experiences were different, but the result was pretty much similar. And, in every way, they were better than my razor. It’s nice to be able to get a closer shave of every skin area without risking shaver burn. Without completely dismissing Philip’s descriptive names for their accessories, let me offer my perspective. Having used razor blades for many years, my (conditioned) natural shaving motion would drag the lower cutting blades across my skin and not allow the foil to fully contact my skin. So, I placed the “Skin Stretcher Cap” on the shaver head, and it forces a proper shaving angle. All three cutting surfaces remain exposed, but the cutters are more parallel to my skin surface. Works perfectly for me. I can highly recommend the Philips because it cuts closely and easily matches my old razor. It has a full set of accessories which all make the task comfortable, safe, and as enjoyable as shaving will ever be. Philips’ other accessories further modify the shaving experience: SKIN STRETCHED CAP, as described above, is my favorite. It fully exposes the cutters and foil, but controls the angle of shaving. SOFT GLIDE CAP slightly covers the top and bottom cutters and only fully exposes the foil cutter. It is recommended for underarms and under knees where the tighter angles would make safe shaving more difficult. This is a perfect choice for these areas, especially when I’m half-asleep. The TRIMMING COMB is the larger comb for the regular shaver head. It works nicely to significantly reduce the length of larger, thicker areas of hair. Trimmer head with comb, accomplishes similar reduction of hair length but for smaller areas. Cleaning brush Exfoliation glove has the feel of dry sponge (kind’a like loofah) USB-A charging cord (only) Pouch The only note of concern is the lightweight plastic material used for the various accessories, especially the “CAPS” which I find critical to my enjoyment of the Philips shaver. The fussing required to place and remove them could lead to a broken piece. It hasn’t happened, but plastic is not very forgiving.

    Smooth and Close Shaving

The Phillips Lady Electric Shaver Series 6000 is my entry into the electric shaving. My experience so far makes me wish I had tried it sooner. It provides such a smooth shave either wet or dry and I just love the versatility and the results. Up until now, I had been using a battery trimmer/shaver but have grown tired of it getting moldy quickly and the goop that the shaver heads come with. In addition to that they cause ingrown hairs, particularly under my arms. Ever since I began using the Philips electric shaver, I have not had that issue anymore, actually my skin has become smoother and cleared up. The instructions recommend dry shaving and I find that I prefer it because I tend to forget to shave in the shower. Not only does dry shaving save water, but it also saves me when I’m about to go out and realize I forgot to shave. It’s also recommended to shaving before bed to give the skin a chance to recuperate from any irritation through the night. While I prefer this, I have found that on the days when I do shave during the day, I get no irritation whatsoever. I will note that when I tried wet-shaving I did feel a lot of irritation on my skin. There was no visible redness but I felt a strong sensation of burning itchiness that hurt when I scratched too much. So, I really prefer the dry-shave results with this shaver. Using the exfoliating glove provided regularly works great to prevent ingrown hairs and to keep the skin smooth. Thus far, I have gotten a far closer and smoother shave than I do with my disposable razor. I will add that my leg hairs are thin, with the exception of those nearer my ankle. There are times when I struggle to catch the hairs, such as when they are still fairly short, but going slowly tends to work most of the time. The trimmer also works great. One thing I wish from the trimmer was that the comb attachment had different height settings. The comb is pretty long in my opinion so there is not much of a choice in the length it will leave the bikini area unless you wing it without the attachment. That said, the shaver option has a comb attachment that leaves the hair slightly shorter so that can be used instead of the trimmer. The device can be opened up after each use to clean any hairs that get stuck inside. I always do this and allow it to air dry before putting it back together and storing it to prevent any bacteria or gunk buildup inside. It comes with three attachments for the shaver, one for the trimmer, an exfoliating glove, and a storage baggie. I like the bag provided because it keeps me from losing the attachments and I can find everything in one place when I need it. It also comes with a long instruction pamphlet that is very helpful in getting to know the product and recommended uses. This is a well-made, good quality, and aesthetically please shaver. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a better shave that is gentler on the skin.

The Philips Lady Shaver comes with everything you need for a smooth hairless skin. This shaver is design to be used all over the body. It comes with several accessories such as a trimming comb, skin stretcher cap , exfoliating glove, and a pouch. The shaver itself is very light weight and easy to grasp. Its design makes it easy to manuever around your legs, bikini area and armpits. The attachments are so easy to take on and off with the help of a small button on the back that ejects them out. This is a shaver that can be used wet or dry and I did not encounter any problems while using. The Philips Lady shaver is powered by using a usb cable which is included but no power adapter. I dislike when products do not come with the power supply needed. Thankfully, I have several power adapters at home so that was no issue, but can be a problem for many. Although this shaver has a nice design and comes with many cool accessories, I did not think it did a great job at shaving because it was not very powerful. I tried it on my legs and even though it got the long hairs, it did not get the tiny hairs. I tried several times going over even changed attachments but no improvement whatsoever. I do believe this shaver is more for thin hair or for a simple trim but definitely not for a good clean shave many women would like to have using this product.

THE BREAKDOWN: The Philips Lady Electric Shaver Series 6000 as reviewed by my wife. I have always been a standard shaving cream and non-motorized or electric shaver kind of person. It was a good experience using it both dry and in the shower. It actually gave a pretty close shave. In the box you get the trimmer, trimming comb, skin stretched cap, soft glide cap, cleaning brush, exfoliation glove, pouch and USB-A charging cord. The skin stretch cap worked great to make sure you were shaving at the right angle which really stunned me that it worked great and gave a really close shave similar to my old school razor. The included brush makes cleaning a breeze. You can also use the button to take the head off and clean it out inside. You get about 40 minutes of shaving per charge. I felt like it was kind of loud when it was running. PRO’s: - 40 minutes of charge - Lots of attachments CON’s: - Noisy - The accessories seem cheap and plastic like they will be easy to break SUMMARY: Overall, this product worked as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they were in the market for an item like this.
