For the past few years, I have been using a corded trimmer. I was looking to move away from it and this fits in nicely as it's more travel friendly. Key when I know I am going to be out of town for more than a few days and what to maintain a kept look. This gives you decent lines, but not perfect. I still prefer a micro trimmer for that. The dial adjustable length of cut control is a nice feature. Minimizing how many different guards you must keep track off, but still giving you a ton of cut length options. The guards are super easy to swap out. I am about to head on an international trip. If this was a USB cord with adapter, that would be ideal. I do have adapters, but I like using my large power bank whenever possible for my charging needs of smaller devices. A battery indicator would have been a nice touch, so you are not in the dark about how much charge you have left. I am assuming it will be able to operate while plugged in though so that is not a deal breaker. Overall, I am happy with it.

After having my old Phillips trimmer for a number of years, the opportunity came up to try their new Philips Norelco Beard and Hair Trimmer Series 5000. Although my old trimmer still gets the job done, the battery life seems to be on the decline with it, so this 5000 series trimmer will be the replacement. I tried the Philips Norelco Beard and Hair Trimmer Series 5000 for the first time a few days ago and I must say that it cuts really well and is very comfortable to hold. It comes with a few different attachments for hair, long/short beard, a cleaning brush, and a charger. The only thing that was missing was a travel bag, which my older Philips trimmer did come with. Really wish they would've included one with this trimmer. You are able to make blade adjustments very easily with this trimmer and the comb attachments make it very easy to the job done. I used this to cut my sons hair, and this made quick and easy work out of it. It cuts hair quick and easy, just like my old trimmer. Overall, I would highly recommend the Philips Norelco Beard and Hair Trimmer Series 5000 to anyone.
