First, let me explain that I like the five o'clock shadow look, which requires daily trimming to be neat and maintained. However, the 'neat and maintained' commitment took too much daily, valuable, time from my fishing addiction, standing in front of a mirror primping and trimming. YUK! I have tried various facial hair and beard trimmers, edgers, and electric shavers without much success. So, I welcomed the opportunity to try a complimentary Phillips OneBlade Pro Wet/Dry Trimmer for review. After receiving the Phillips OneBlade Pro, I immediately plugged it in to charge. The indicator at the center of the shave body told me it was at a 100% after about an hour of charging. Okay, now comes the 'proof-of-the-pudding'. Since this unit was touted as a Wet/Dry shaver I put it to the test. I got into my shower and set the adjustable dial to .8. Having never shaved in the shower before this was a whole new experience for me. I did not use any shaving cream or gel. I followed the instructions and shaved in long even strokes. No 'pull' or 'gotcha' on any facial hairs – smooth and trimmed neatly. My facial skin felt soothing and not the slightest bit irritated after my first shower shave. I even cleaned the OneBlade under the running water of the shower head. How convenient is that? WooHoo! Here are some of the outstanding features of the Phillips OneBlade Pro Wet / Dry Trimmer: * OneBlade lets you trim, edge, and shave any length of facial hair without shaving too close to your skin. * Dial up one of the 14 lock-in length settings to get everything from a stubbly shadow, or trim your beard, mustache, sideburns, and the settings even allow for some hair trimming. * OneBlade allows you to follow the contour of your face without grabbing or nicking. * You can shave WET OR DRY with or without shave cream or gel. * You can use the razor against 'the grain', vertically or horizontally. * OneBlade shaving technology integrates a fast moving cutter (200x per second) with a dual protection system. It is very comfortable on your skin. * The blades are designed for lasting performance. For optimal performance, you will only need to replace the blade every 4 months*. Replacement is easy and hassle free. * OneBlade is easy to clean - just rinse it under the tap / shower. Unit is water resistant. * LED digital display shows status of battery and travel lock. Battery light flashes orange: battery is almost empty. Battery light flashes white or green: battery is charging. Battery light lights up continually: battery is fully charged. * Rechargeable Li-Ion battery delivers 90 minutes of constant styling power after a 1 hour charge. *Full two-year Warranty by Phillips Electronics. What's Included: * OneBlade Pro Handle Unit with LED Display * One Blade, Two-Sided Razor Blade * One Trimming Comb with Fourteen Length Settings * One Charging Stand and Charging Cord * Travel Pouch * User Manual After a week of grooming I am convinced that the OneBlade Pro is the best trimmer / shaver I've ever used. It is simple and easy to learn how to effectively trim the areas you want evenly. Most important to me is after trimming my facial hair and sideburns - it blends in so well that it is not pronounced. Nothing worse then a layered, choppy look on your sideburns that screams, 'rank amateur'. The speed of the two-sided blade makes shaving and trimming fast. This baby is so multi-functional it allowed me to neatly trim the hair on the back of my neck using the adjustable, trimmer comb. How cool is that? YooHoo! Prior to the OneBlade Pro I had both a trimmer and separate shaver. Now, the OneBlade has replaced both of them and is more compact, easier to use, and I love the adjustable trimmer comb, which makes it so versatile. I highly recommend the Phillips OneBlade Pro Wet / Dry Trimmer. It makes a great gift for guys with beards, mustaches, and facial hair of their own personal styles. It can be packed away easily for trips and stores conveniently on its own space-saving, power docking, charging stand. But, the performance of the OneBlade is the most outstanding feature. After my first trim it dawned on me why they call it OneBlade 'PRO'. Consider giving this to a special family member or friend, it will make a great Christmas, Birthday, or any occasion gift.

Design: Simply put, the Philips OneBlade Pro is an innovative trimmer, and it all starts with the design. Its sleek and straightforward look is appealing to see on my bathroom countertop, and minimal space is taken up. Although it is larger than a razor, the OneBlade is significantly smaller than any other trimmer I have owned. In addition, the included dock is nice to have so that the trimmer can be propped up in a designated spot instead of laying down somewhere, which would take up more space. When you open the box and get your hands on the OneBlade Pro, you will notice that it feels like a premium device due to its durable build and simple (yet elegant) silver with black and green color scheme. The blades themselves also seem durable. Finally, the battery indicator screen is a nice additional feature, which helps you keep track of how much battery is left. Performance: The Philips OneBlade Pro performs exceptionally well. I use it about every other day to trim up stubble, and I am impressed with its ability to provide a smooth shave every time. I have not had any complaints about battery life because one charge can last up to 90 minutes, and I usually have it on the dock charging after each use anyway. The OneBlade is like a hybrid between an electric trimmer and a razor, and it utilizes the best features of both, convenience and performance. No other electric trimmer that I have used has been able to provide a razor-like shave as close and smooth as the OneBlade Pro. As for the convenience, it is very easy to use and versatile, which I elaborate on below. Versatility: After the first charge, which only takes a short amount of time, the OneBlade is ready to use out of the box. I did not initially need to read the directions, but I still recommend glancing through them to have a full understanding of what the OneBlade can do and how to use it correctly. Since the OneBlade Pro is water-resistant, you can shave with a wet face, in the shower, or even with shave cream. My preference is too wet my face or apply a small amount of shave cream before using the OneBlade because it glides much easier and works better than it does if your face is dry. Additionally, the water resistance allows you to simply rinse off the blade when you are done using the trimmer. The blades are dual-sided, so you can shave in either direction and not have to worry about cutting yourself. As for the precision, the included 14-length comb works effectively to provide the exact length desired. In addition, the top or bottom of the blade can be used for edging, so there is honestly nothing more that I wish the OneBlade could do. Verdict: Owning the OneBlade Pro has allowed me to successfully consolidate my electric trimmer and razor into one device without sacrificing features or performance. Although I have not tested the OneBlade out on a thick beard, it works perfectly for my uses (trimming and edging stubble), and it is very versatile. I have absolutely no complaints, and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a razor-like shave with the features and convenience of an electric trimmer.

The Philips Norelco OneBlade Pro Wet/Dry Trimmer is an electric razor with a different design than rotary razors (or other razors that trim whiskers using a blade against some kind of screen). It uses a replaceable shaving surface (the OneBlade) that is similar in size and shape to a multi-blade razor. But the Philips razor operates more like a little orbital sander for your whiskers (though you can’t really feel the movement of the shaving surface against your skin). It works wet or dry - with or without shaving cream or gel. You can even use it in the shower. The top and bottom of each surface is designed for edging - the top of each “blade” drives the trimmer. Each OneBlade razor is supposed to last up to four months. For shaving, I got the best results using just a small amount of shaving gel to insure the razor could move smoothly over the contours of my face. It gives nearly as close a shave as a blade razor but gives a better shave than any other electric razor I have ever used (no pulled whiskers and no razor burns from having to grind into difficult areas). It did, however, take me a few tries to figure out the best angle, pressure, and direction to use for the best shave - my first shave left me a little patchy but by the third day, I had things pretty well figured out. The razor needed to be fully charged before its first use but charged very quickly. There is a display on the handle that shows you the remaining charge level when you turn the razor off. After five shaves, I still had a charge of over 90%. The trimmer attachment secures over the OneBlade and clicks into the handle. You can then control the cut using a dial on top of the trimmer - settings allow for trimmed hair lengths between 1/32” and 13/32” (well, technically, between .4mm and 10mm since the settings are marked in metric). The trimmer attachment works just fine but is awkward and clumsy - difficult and unintuitive to hold and use. If someone was facing you to trim your beard, the trimmer would fit naturally in their hand - but the angle you need to use to trim your own beard is cumbersome (and is uncomfortable in my hand). Overall, I’m very impressed with the OneBlade Pro razor but I wish they had thought-through the trimmer attachment a little bit more.

    Surprisingly Well Rounded Compact Trimmer

The Philips Norelco One Blade Pro is a pretty good compact trimmer. It excels at it's primary job, namely cutting hair with an adjustable comb allowing you to go from a clean shave (sans comb) to a manicured trim. Battery life is excellent and it's safe travel feature, which prevents accidental turn-on during travel, ensures that you'll always have the full life available when you reach your destination. It has some of the same issues as other compact trimmers, namely that the comb can get choked with hair, so one needs to periodically clean that out if working with longer than about half an inch of hair growth. Where this really excels is in battery life, consistency of shave, post shave comfort, and consistent level adjustments with the comb. The One Blade pro is a cordless rechargeable trimmer. It uses disposable trimming blades with a cost around $10 each. However, these blades will last significantly longer than a razor blade while providing just as clean a shave or the ability to trim hair to a custom height. The size and weight are pretty good for one-handed use and fully charged battery is good for weeks of use, assuming regular shaving. Build quality and design are pretty good - definitely stands out from cheap travel trimmers. It comes with a stand that while plastic, is weighted such that with the One Blade Pro attached, it does a good job at resisting tipping over from the random bumps that sometimes occur as you're moving around in front of the bathroom sink. I'll admit, I also have the non-pro version of the One Blade. It comes with a set of fixed height combs. Like other compact trimmers, quality of height always seems to be an issue so I almost never bother with the combs. They either don't stay in place very well, the adjustment mechanism tends to be brittle, and I spend too much time manually correcting for height errors. That's not the case with the Pro. For those who work on manicuring beards or who may task their trimmers for light head duty, this is a significant improvement for trimmers in this class. Hands down, a winning feature. Battery life is pretty good. However, good battery life is almost a requirement at this point. The One Blade Pro takes things a notch further by adding ON/OFF switch protection while traveling. By pressing the ON button for a few seconds, you activate a mode where a simple press will not cause the trimmer to turn ON. This is enough of an issue that I usually travel with either disposable razors or a cheap AAA battery powered trimmer where I can remove the battery. Even then, I tend to only use the razor or trimmer when absolutely necessary as they're typically a pain, too slow, and don't produce a quality shave. With the One Blade Pro, I can travel secure that my luggage won't start buzzing at random times, I'll have weeks of battery power left when I arrive at my destination with a quality trimmer. Even better, the One Blade Pro comes with a nice travel bag! The trimmer does a good job with and without the comb. Sans comb, one can achieve a pretty close shave. A razor will still give a cleaner shave, so if you absolutely need the baby smooth skin that comes from a razor both removing hair and a layer of skin, this is not the trimmer for you. The ability of the comb to be consistent at achieving the set trim height is amazing. I tested this by shaving sections of my face at the 0.8, 2, and 4 levels. At first, I wasn't quite sure there was a difference between 0.8 and 2. Prepared for disappointment, I set the comb back to 0.8, and ran it over the 2mm shaved area. To my surprise, the hair there was visibly trimmed by half. The comb is pretty stable at longer hair lengths as well. While I'm hard pressed to think of a situation where I'd need that fine a granularity between "close shave" and "2mm stubble", it's goes to the quality of the design that I can achieve it. In summary, I'm pretty impressed with the One Blade Pro. It's replacing my existing One Blade as my primary razor and will serve equally well as my travel razor. When this line was first introduced, I admit to thinking it was all hype. But now, after trying out the Pro, I'm a full convert.

I really like this razor, Philips packed a lot in a small package. I can trim my beard with it, trim the edges of my beard, and shave my cheeks and neck with ease. The razor's battery life is great and the battery indicator is easy to read. I have to charge my razor about once every 6-8 weeks with daily use (once every evening). I wasn't sure if I would like the OneBlade but it works pretty well. The edges are good for doing straight lines and I don't have issues with razor bump, burning, or cuts. I wish it was a closer shave, it's close enough for me to still look professional at work but, my 5 PM, my stubble is back. That was the case with my larger Philips electric shaver and any razor-blade I use but it's a bit worse with the OneBlade. This won't give you a completely smooth shave but it works. My shaving routine, despite not having to shave much, used to take up a good 15-20 minutes of my day. My larger Philips razor would require daily cleaning with the razor's cleaner/stand (my facial hair is thick) and a normal 2-3 blade razor would have to be rinsed after every stroke. With the OneBlade, I turn it on and just go. I don't have to pause because it gets clogged, I don't have to continually rinse it out. The blade works wet or dry too but I find that it works best, for me, dry. Rinsing takes all of 10 seconds too. I'm now down to spending 3 minutes a day shaving. It may not seem like much but, over the last 6 months, it's saved me a total of 36 hours. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants a quick shave that's close enough, for men who have thick facial hair, and for men with facial hair that grows in multiple directions (my hair swirls under my left and right cheeks). The OneBlade handles it all with ease without causing discomfort, razor burn, or bumps. I knocked it one star simply because the shave is not as close as other electric shavers in this price range but I think the conveniences and quality outweigh the closeness.

This little buddy is a must have for me. I hope you appreciate the details I provide; but this shaver/trimmer fills an important grooming slot. First of all, it is solid and comes with just enough directions to understand the features and how to use it. However, there are Youtube videos on its predecessor that you might find useful also for this unit. It does have a charging feature where you can plug directly into the device or place it in an included stand – the connector works for both. When traveling you don’t need to take the stand and I found this minor design point as a major plus that you don’t see in other rechargeable units. It has an LCD screen to tell you the charge. In fifteen minutes of shaving it went down 5%. Normally I don’t take that long but this was my initial test. I shaved without the attachment and it does a great job although a razor would shave closer if you need baby- butt smooth. If you have some sensitivity like me, you will like just shaving with this unit with or without water and or shaving cream and throw away ones razor. I am getting older so pardon if this offends but I shave my ears a bit. It is dangerous with a razor but this unit is perfect and I love it. You can also shave your eyebrows and the bridge of your nose and even down your nose and under your nose easily and this avoids danger from a razor in those areas as well. Now the snap on device allows you to use this unit as a beard trimmer. I have a beard that is kept about 3 mm long. You can dial the length of the beard in mm. You will need to find the right setting for you. Worked perfectly at 4 mm for me. I noticed that against my Wahl beard trimmer this unit left the beard more even. So if your beard is a bit curly it does a great job too. I also used it to trim my mustache with the attachment. For the area above your mustache, I simply removed the beard trimmer part and it worked great. I highly recommend this unit – wonderful.

They call this a "hybrid", but it's not really a shaver. Well, maybe. The claim is that it will shave to a "5 o'clock shadow", but after skipping a couple of days, it's really more of a 5 o'clock tomorrow. To be used a shaver, it's meant for someone who keeps a closely trimmed beard. That aside, this is an excellent trimmer. The almost infinitely adjustable head makes it easy to give a uniform look to your beard & sideburns. I also like the slenderness of it - you're working a smaller part of your face, and that gives a nicer cut. I've owned a huge amount of these things, and for about $25 each, once it gives me the first "pinch", i know it's time to trash it for a new one. So i welcome the idea of the replaceable blade (yes, blade, not head.) I haven't had it long enough to test the claim of 4 month replacement cycle; however i generally take these claims with a grain of salt and my expectation is to get half that time. I see a 2 pack of blades goes for about $24. The other thing you get by going with the Pro model is a lithium battery instead of a nicad. That's nice not only for longer life, but lithiums will give you the rated voltage over the length of the charge, whereas the voltage on nicads lower as the battery drains. And that means more pinches & jammed blades. I also like the compact setup of it. The bath vanity & shelves are always competing with a hundred different products, so a space saver is always welcome. I do really like the operation of this unit, the reason i didn't give it the 5th star is well within 2 years you're going to double the price of the trimmer in replacement blades. Either the price of the trimmer or the blades needs to come down somewhat to make it an outstanding buy.

This shaver is so amazing you will shave way more often and you might shave whole face/head in a happy frenzy! I got this shaver to replace an old $400 shaver I still have and starting off with the unboxing experience it's pretty straight forward. You get the shaver, one blade piece, one trimmer attachment, a nice charging stand to make life easier and a nice enough shaving case/bag to carry it in. Once you get past that you grab your unit and shave. The blade gets really close without cutting myself like crazy or what my old shaver would do is YANK my hair out as it tries to cut. Thank you for that Phillips! The unit is a close shave and even after shaving my entire face it only lost 5% of it's battery. Looking forward to a long battery life with this unit. I have nothing bad to say about this shaver and some might say but yeah you are now hooked on their blades for life but my response to that would be. If I think of it like this I saved over $300 getting this one over another one my old clunky ones so I can afford the blades. Also, I had an old shaver that wanted to replace the blades after 9 months so it can't be helped plus they are pretty cheap. I hope my review helped you in your decision and seriously buy this I would be seriously surprised if you returned it.

4Summary: A straightforward, easy-to-use beard trimmer that features good battery life, light weight, and a good-quality adjustable guard for setting beard length. Introduction: My wife has ordered me to retain some sort of facial hair at all times...which is fine with me, because I hate shaving! I've used several beard trimmers over the years, some definitely better than others; this is the third Norelco trimmer I've used, which reflects the overall good luck I've had with the brand. The Good: Trims without aggressively "pulling" on hairs, something that's been a problem with other shavers. Unique blade design means it cuts "coming and going" - which is especially handy when trimming those stray hairs on your cheek or neck. The flat blade system also means you can lay the cutter flat against your skin and slide it along to get a nice, close trim. The adjustable guard has fine increments and does a good job of staying at the set length while trimming, something else that's been a problem with other beard trimmers. It's waterproof, so you could use it in the shower, though I have not done so. Provides a numeric battery level gauge, rather than just a "low battery" indicator, and lets you "travel lock" the trimmer so it doesn't run itself down in your suitcase. The Bad: Mostly minor complaints - uses a non-standard charging port, would be better if it used micro-USB so you didn't have to bring an extra charger with you on a trip. (Several of Norelco's competitors have made this switch already.) Replaceable blades are a little pricey, particularly if you use the trimmer a lot; Norelco says that a blade set lasts "four months" if you do a "complete shave" twice a week.

    A hybrid experience

One thing right off the bat - this product is not meant to replace a regular shaver (electric or blade). It mentions this right in the booklet. So, if you are wanting a baby smooth shave - this product is probably not for you. If, however, you are like me and have a beard - or even just like to sport a "stubbly" look - this product definitely IS for you! The oneblade pro is a hybrid between a regular blade and an electric trimmer. The battery goes from empty to fully charged in about 45 mins. Though, the booklet states it takes closer to an hour. On a full charge, you get roughly an hour and a half of run time, which imo is very generous. The only attachment you need (and the only one included, FYI) is an adjustable length guard. The one thing that struck me right away when trimming my beard was how precise it was on the first pass - no more "variable length beard" for me! Nor does the product tug and cause irritation. Taking the length guard off - you can use the product as a "shaver" to shave down to stubble. Again, very precise and no irritation whatsoever. Where there is a bit of a learning curve - you must shave against the grain. Otherwise, the hairs will not properly engage in the blade. I found this to be awkward at first - but quickly got the hang of it. Where this product truly excels, IMO, is its very precise ability to "edge" your beard (or mustache, etc). The product creates very clean lines and the unit felt good enough in my hand that I was confident that I wouldn't slip and cause a beard-astrophe. The only minor negative I can come up with is that the blade itself is disposable. You must replace it every 3 to 4 months. This however is a small process to pay to ensure a quality shaving experience. Definitely a quality product - and one that will be in my daily routine from now on.

After carefully reading all the directions that came in the box, I charged the shaver. Upon first use it was a little bit of trial and error with the dial to determine the desired beard height I usually go for. The trimmings started building up underneath the beard guide. As I removed the beard trimmer attachment which is on there pretty tight so I had to give it a little extra umph, it flew out of my hand and across the bathroom floor. This was funny the first time, by the third time it was annoying. The directions state you can shave wet or dry. I chose dry this time. It did an okay job as a shaver but I ended up using my regular Gillete razor after since I did not achieve my usual close shave. While cleaning the one blade by running it under water as directed, I noticed a small portion of the protective screen on the blade had broken off. This would probably explain why a small divot appeared on my neckline as if a chunk of skin had been shaved off, but not deep enough to bleed. The instructions state the blade is very sharp and if any portion of the protective cover on the blade breaks, then immediately replace the blade. So after one use, I now have to spend $30 on replacement blades. This blade was supposed to last up to 4 months. I guess I'll just use it as a beard trimmer as long as the dial length isn't set too short. Good thing I still have my Gillete razor.

    Great Trimmer, More Metal Needed

I have more trimmers that I know what to do with, each one has it's pros and cons. This one is a bit pricier and has some great features, but the guard that moves up and down with the rotary adjustment dial is made of what seems to be lightweight plastic so it would be a good idea not to drop it. It would have been nice to have it made of metal or something heavier. It charges up quickly (an hour or so) and the display shows you the charging progress in 5 percent increments, and the same display shows the remaining charge every time you use it and shut it off. I have been experimenting with an unruly goatee and mustache for about 3 days and used it at least 10 times, and it is just now at 85%. That's good. The double-sided blade can be run under water for cleaning and used on your face without the guard for precise trimming. It took a few blunders to remember that when trimming the edge of a mustache, the opposite side of the blade is looking for real estate in the whiskers beneath your lower lip. What's great is that you can start on the longer lengths with the adjustment dial and quickly work your way down to the length you want. This is a trimmer, not a shaver. It's priced more like a shaver. More metal would have gotten it the 5th star.

In the shipping box Phillips did include a Welcome letter which attempted to realign expectations, likely due to earlier reviews which panned it as a shaver. With these expectations in mind, I gave it a try. First thing to do was charge it. The trimmer shipped with 0% charge but this was no big deal. To obtain a full charge was less than two hours. But the first surprise was that the “blades” were considered a consumable item. They do wear over time so you will need to buy more. Ah, the Shick marketing model is alive and well! You can use it with just the bare blade for super close trimming. Notice I did not say shaving? The bare blade gave me results similar to some electric razors that I’ve used in the past; but nothing beats a real wet blade and shaving cream. When using as a trimmer with the guard attached, the selection of trim lengths is adequate for most needs. For best results you MUST go against the grain. Passing over with the direction of your beard growth, it will not catch most of the hairs and trim little to nothing. But going against the direction of growth with give the intended results albeit with multiple passes. But this is not much different than other trimmers that I’ve used. Probably has more to do with how my facial hair grows, which is very directional. All things considered, this is an acceptable trimmer. But I was way happier with another Philips/Norelco product that I tried (and reviewed here). If you’re looking for adequate this would be a good buy. But if you want something much better, spend a little more and get the Multigroom Series 7400 Wet/Dry Trimmer and you’ll be much happier.

From the first steps of unpackaging to setting it up on the charger, I was very excited to try this product out. Right off the bat, one of the biggest things I loved about this unit is that the battery percentage is displayed in an easy to read spot! All the previous trimmers I have had did not have this luxury, and I found myself in the middle of trimming only to find that the battery would die midway. Not a good thing - but having the display I found incredible. The attachment for length was also one of the best attachments for a trimmer like this. It snugly fit on top of the bald and the actual adjustment for length was so easily readable, and so easily adjustable. Not only that, the attachment stayed in place - I’ve had previous experiences where the attachment would push down or fall off in the middle of trimming and then it would cause issues! Not here! The only drawback, which is why I didn’t give it a full 5 stars is that the power of the shaving was a little weak. Granted I did put it to the test with my beard which had been growing for a good amount of time, but I found that I had to retrace the same area many times (especially in the thicker parts of the beard) in order to really get an even shave. I could see this not being as much of an issue if you aren’t into thicker hair, but I was a little disappointed. Nevertheless it cut evenly and it seemed pretty contained in terms of hair flying around as it cut. Overall a great unit, but I would expect to have to spend more time if you plan to put it to use in a thick beard. Otherwise a great product!

The One Blade is a solid all around work horse. By this I mean it is sort a hybrid between an electric shaver and a haircut style trimmer. It really suits my needs and I was really impressed with it right out is the box. The blade itself cuts very close. Not as close as an electric shaver, but pretty close. It leaves you with the 5 o’clock shadow basically and not much more. That is with the blade alone. With the attachments you get a pretty even cut, but being that my facial hair is pretty curly I have to make several passes. This is typical for me so I am not surprised at that. The one think I like the most about the shaver is that it is very forgiving. By that I mean you can put your finger against the moving blade and not get cut. That won’t happen with most hair trimmers that cut this close. The only con I have is the stability of the head of the trimmer. By this I mean when you want a precision trim sometimes you want the head of the trimmer to be locked. I personally like this vice having it mobile. The One Blade moves ain’t will contour to your face or whatever part you are trimming. Unless you use the adapter you don’t get the locked blade effect. That said, it’s a minor personal preference and not a deal breaker by any means. The battery life is awesome and the charging station works really well and doesn’t tip over. All and all a solid product and one worth the price for sure. I would recommend it for sure.

The Philips Norelco OneBlade Pro can be used in wet or dry conditions. The precision trimming comb is very easy to use and using turning dial you can set the length from 0.4 to 10mm. Battery life is good with 100 minute battery and it comes with a charging base. I was able to use it continuously 6 days without charge and still more than 85% charge left. Philips Norelco has quick charging technology and able to do full charge in less than 20 minutes. The battery life icon displayed in handle which is very helpful. The trimmer is water resistant and it can be used in the shower. This is a great trimmer for home as well as travel use. It is very small to carry and can be used to trim beard, trim around ears. I was very impressed by Philips Norelco OneBlade Pro Wet/Dry trimmer and recommend to anyone without any hesitation.

If you are looking for a good beard trimmer that can handle a variety of hair lengths, then look no further than the OneBlade Pro trimmer. Its very easy to use, battery will last a long time, you can use it in the shower or with shaving cream and the blades are supposed to last up to 4 months. The charger cable is also a standard Phillips/Norelco one that fits most of their current and previous shavers that you may already own. You will get a carrying case with this, charging cable, charging stand, and a trimmer attachment to adjust the custom length from 0.4 to 10 that uses a dial to dial in the exact length you are looking for. The trimmer also has a display for battery life remaining so you will always be ready and know how much battery is left. This is a great supplement to my phillips/norelco shaver that gives me a very close shave and with this I can get my stubble perfect. The price is very reasonable as well, you just can't go wrong with this. My only gripe with this is that your cut hair goes everywhere, so be ready to clean up a mess.

I've used quite a few Norelco products for personal grooming over the years, but this one is the most interesting - It offers fine trimming, adjustable guarded trimming, and shaving in one device. The system is also quite simple: It consists of the trimmer itself, a charging base and power cord, and a single adjustable trim guard. The trim guard attaches durably and offers several levels of cut using universal guard levels common in trimmers and clippers. Using the device without the trim guard works great for precision trimming and shaving, but the shaving is a bit unusual, and only works somewhat, as its required method doesn't work well for an entire face shave. I attempted to use the shaving function with and without shaving cream/gel and in either scenario, it lacks a closeness required to feel fully shaven. Its almost a "stubble control" shave rather than a clean shave. It requires long strokes to shave completely, which aren't as possible on the smaller areas of the face. I also found that it was only really effective if pushed against the "grain" of hair, which again is challenging in most facial shaving scenarios. The battery life is exceptional, as I was able to use the device daily on a weeklong trip with no incremental charging, but based on your use your experience may vary. All in all, its a good product with an OK shaving use case. Not the integrated solution I'd hoped for, but a good and versatile trimmer nonetheless.

I had been using a normal triple head electric razor and a separate trimmer for years and had hoped to finally replace both those with this one product. Firstly, the actual visual appearance of the trimmer is great as it isn't big and bulky and is very sleek siting on my counter. The travel case is also a nice touch along with the charging stand. Upon first use though I decided to use the trimmer aspect and the variable lengths to see how this new system would work. I was impressed overall with how well it worked and definitely believe that if you would want this as a stand alone trimmer I would not fault you for that as it worked extremely well for that purpose. There are times though were I desire that close shave, which is why I had still previously been using an electric razor. When going for a clean shave with this product it did seem rather time consuming and I did eventually find myself going back to my old razor though. It was effective though in giving that clean shave appearance don't get me wrong there, but it did just take more time than I am used to. Overall, I definitely enjoy the look of the product and it`s ability as a trimmer as it worked exceptionally well. The clean shave look did turn out well also, however, at times it did seem that the clean shave process did seem time consuming. For the price though I definitely would recommend the product as it definitely works great in all respects and gets the job done!

I am that person who cannot stand having 3 or 4 different "tools" for basic haircare. I use an electric trimmer for my hair, and a different one for my other hair things like neck trimming and such, then another to shave each day, and have one for when I let my face hair grow too long for the razor. Well, this solves all of that with a single tool. And I have wondered if someday this would happen - I'm glad to say this works, and it works well. I've shaved with it directly against my skin without any issue at all. It has 2 sides, so that I would expect this would last at least 4 months, I'm assuming it will last longer. But with the single adjustable attachment, you can set the height and go - be it the hair on your head (can take awhile though, it is a narrow blade compared to traditional hair trimmers), your sideburn hair, neck hair, or remove the attachment and shave. It provides a very decent and close shave, similar to that of other electric razors. I like the design, solid feel, and I really like the digital readout of how much battery power is left (in a percentage). There is a charging stand, or you can simply plug the transformer into the bottom on the razor and charge it without needing the stand. By far, my favorite razor and trimming tool, all in one simple easy to use package. Even if I need more blades, I'll welcome not having so many different tools taking up valuable space in the bathroom vanity.
