First off I normally stay away from this type of shaver because in the past I’ve had nothing but problems weather it be pulling hair, irritating skin, feeling too hot while in use, poor battery many number of things.
That said I’ve never had a good experience with one until now. Now this is more of a budget conscious shaver but the fact I can actually use it and not have my hair being pulled is already a step in the right direction for my mindset as that is what sent me away from the shave head style shavers.
It’s of course battery operated and this is another place where in the past I had some that just plain couldn’t get through a shave but this one can thankfully in testing always do the job! Im not sure how long it takes to actually charge all the way as I normally plug it in then go about my routine for about an hour before getting to shaving and at that point its been good to go without fail.
I love the easy clean up with this style as its a simple pop open and rinse then shake dry making it extremely easy and shaving without any prep or anything cuts my entire routine down substantially.
Im really kind of annoyed at this point that I never tried another 3 head style shaver like this again after my previous failures years ago as this is much easier. If your on a budget and in need of a good solid reliable shaver thats good wet or dry then I think this is it for you.

The Philips Norelco Shaver 2600 proves to be a stellar choice for anyone seeking a blend of comfort and convenience in their grooming routine, especially for those like myself who travel frequently for business. This shaver stands out not only for its performance but also for its travel-friendly features, making it a reliable companion on the go.
Starting with its SkinProtect Technology, the ComfortCut Blades offer a remarkably smooth shave by comfortably cutting each hair right above skin level. These 27 self-sharpening blades ensure a consistently clean shave, maintaining their sharpness for up to two years, which is a testament to their durability and quality.
The flexibility to choose between a dry shave or a refreshing wet shave with foam or gel—even in the shower—is a significant advantage. The Anti-Corrosion Shaving System, made from surgical-grade hypoallergenic steel, adds to the appeal by protecting the skin from irritation and resisting corrosion, ensuring the blades remain hygienic over multiple uses.
For those of us needing to look sharp and well-groomed at all times, the pop-up trimmer is an excellent addition for refining mustaches and sideburns effortlessly. Moreover, the shaver's 4D Flex Heads adapt to the contours of your face, providing a close shave without the need to go over the same area repeatedly.
Battery life is a critical factor for traveling professionals. The Philips Norelco Shaver 2600 excels with its 50 minutes of cordless shaving from just a one-hour charge. Even more crucial for me is the 5-minute quick charge feature, which comes in handy when on business trips and provides enough power for one full shave, making it incredibly practical when time is of the essence.
The ergonomic design includes an anti-slip grip that ensures the shaver stays in hand, wet or dry. The one-touch open feature for easy cleaning under running water, combined with a helpful battery indicator, enhances the overall user experience, ensuring maintenance and operation are straightforward.
Finally, the inclusion of a travel pouch and eco-friendly packaging—plastic-free and made from 90% recycled materials—aligns well with the needs of environmentally conscious consumers who are also on the move.
In conclusion, the Philips Norelco Shaver 2600 is an excellent choice for business travelers who value a quick, comfortable, and efficient shaving experience without compromising on quality or environmental responsibility.

Philips Norelco 2600 is a handy shaver to has around 50 minutes of run time with a great design that feels good in the hand. Each shave has been consistent, smooth, and clean to the touch. What I like about this model is that it comes with a USB-A charging cable as opposed to a normal A/C. The shaver is safe to use with or without shaving cream. Cleaning out the shaver head wasn’t a daunting task. There is a pop-out trimmer so you can maintain sideburns and your mustache.
The shaver heads feel nice on the skin and it’s very comfortable. Using it for about a week there are no complaints and it comes with a travel case. It doesn’t take long to change up. A 5-minute charge will give you one good shave. This is a nice daily shaver I like using so far. It’s pretty simple yet powerful enough to trim my long beard. Anti corrosion 4D blades get every groove it possibly can upon the face. There wasn’t a lot of pressure against the skin with it being wet or dry shave. Shaver has a nice anti-slip grip. Great product overall. Just the right amount of features to have in a shaver. Powerful, versatile, and inexpensive.

The Philips Norelco Shaver 2600 (Model X3052) arrived well packaged. The inside of the package included a form fitting insert to prevent the shaver from moving around inside the box. Included in the box are a cord for charging, a blade cover, a canvas-like bag with a zipper for travel or storage, and an instruction manual.
The shaver is rechargeable, and the USB cord is specific to the port on the shaver; you won’t be able to use any of the standard “cell phone-type” USB cords, so don’t lose it. Since the cord fits nicely inside the zipper bag with the shaver, this shouldn’t be an issue. The shaver is light-weight and easy to handle with comfortable grip. The shaver works wet or dry with or without shaving creams or gels. It was tested using 3 methods for shaving: Dry face, wet face with shaving cream, and wet face without cream or gel in the shower. All shaving methods worked well and produced a comfortable, close shave. The shaving heads move in 4 directions, thus conforming to the curves of your face as you shave. The pop-up trimmer included on the shaver was easy to use and worked well. After shaving, pressing the one-touch button flips open the shaver head for easy cleaning. Just rinse under water and snap the head back down. The instruction manual suggests you replace the blades every 12 months with their SH30 blades sold separately.
There is a convenient indicator light for letting you know the status of the rechargeable battery. It flashes orange when the battery has less than 5 minutes of shaving time left. When you turn off the shaver, it will continue to flash orange for a few seconds. While the shaver is charging, the indicator flashes white. When the battery has completed charging, the indicator shows a continuous white light. (A full charge takes up to 1 hour and there is up to 50 minutes of shave time on a full battery.) The light will remain on for 30 minutes, but will then go out to save energy. If you find yourself with a dead battery and you need to use the shaver, you can charge it for 5 minutes for a quick shave. When you plug it in to charge it, the light flashes white quickly and once there is enough power for a 5-minute shave, the light begins to flash white slowly. The manual states for this model, the first charge should be 3 hours without interruptions, then up to 1 hour thereafter.
I would highly recommend this product as it lives up to all of the claims made by the manufacturer and produces a close comfortable shave, is light-weight, easy to clean, fast to charge, and includes a convenient bag for storage and travel. All of the included features are well-thought-out and enhance the experience of using this shaver.

I have to hand it to Philips Norelco again and even though I rock a beard I do shave it all off once in a while, but I always use it for my neck area. This shaver is fast . I don't get nicked which I hated from another brand .super easy to clean and I love the handle its very comfortable holding it. My hand doesn't hurt or tire out. You get a good sized carry bag.every thing fits the USB charging cable and the shaver itself. Since I have a multi port USB charging plug I can plug it there. So for travel it's easy to take with you. I ended up buying one for my uncle. He actually used it to shave his bald head and he said it was like shaving his face. That made me laugh so much but only because I know he has a machine for that. For him it's just easy to have one machine do it his face and head, instead of 2. The reason I gave the 2600 shaver 4 stars instead of 5 for for a few things. There is no battery indicator whatsoever and I have to remember to just charge it every week so I don't go through a shave and it die n me. Then I have to charge it and wait to finish my shave. The next thing is the trimmer for when I do have the beard and just line it up on my cheeks. It's hard to do. I honestly can't and gave up and use the old my other machine

Philips Norelco blade head shaver 2600 impressed me right out of the box. The shaver is lightweight and wet and dry, good for everyday grooming. It also boasts a pop-up trimmer for lining and grooming that perfect beard. It includes skin-protect technology that protects you from the Ounces of daily shaving.
According to Phillips' recommendation, the Comfort Cut blades need to be replaced every 12 months. The battery life could be more impressive, but you get 50 minutes of use off a one-hour charge. You can also use a five-minute quick charge to get that shave you need in a hurry. Battery power will be a little, including a battery indicator that shows you if you're running low.
Cleaning the Philips Norelco shaver 2600 is a breeze, thanks to its one-touch pop-up head that easily shakes out all the hair and mess. The included travel bag is a helpful and needed plus, perfect for those spontaneous trips where you want to stay groomed on the go. If you value cleanliness and convenience, this shaver is definitely worth considering.

Great basic electric shaver

I have been using electric razors since my teenage years and I have tried every brand out there. Philips Norelco consistently provides the most comfortable shave and I end up with a smooth shave without making my face dry. The 2600 model follows with the same design as its predecessors and works very well.
The floating heads somehow get very close while not causing skin irritation. The operation is smooth and I can shave in a matter of minutes. The shape of the shaver is ergonomic and fits well in my hands and the shape of the razor heads work well for every angle on my face. I like the built in beard trimmer for quick touchups on my beard as well. It eliminates the need to use my beard trimmer on a daily basis.
The shaver comes with a handy case and a USB cable. Please not that it does not shop with a charging adapter, so you will need a USB charger. I did not receive a cleaning brush with the package, so you will also need some kind of small brush when it comes to maintaining it.
It charged quickly and I have been using it for a couple of weeks. The battery life seems very good.
The shaver is capable of wet shaving operation as well, but I don't care to use this feature. Overall, this is a great product.

The Philips Norelco Shaver 2600 is a great value shaver for anyone looking to get an inexpensive but effective shaver. Rechargeable, small, and light it is an all around good shaver that gets the job done with no issues. The Philips Norelco Shaver 2600 comes wit ha small convenient carrying case that makes it easy to travel with this shaver and use it on the go.
My only complaints with this shaver are it's super light weight make it feel cheap and flimsy, while I have had no issues with its durability this may or may not be an issue in the future. I am also not happy with Philips decision to only include a USB-A charging cable without a power adapter. I can appreciate that this decision makes it easier to travel with this shaver, and makes it easy to fit the cable in the included carrying case, but I do not like the fact that I still have to have a USB-A power adapter available to actually charge this shaver. I have noticed that Philips has started to do this with many of their new products and it is aggravating especially since they have made it so that any of their previous cords no longer fit into their new products so you can't even use a charger that you already have to charge these new products. Even though they require the same power, Philips has made it so that you can only use their new charging cord that requires a USB charging adaptor, which of course they sell separately.
Regardless of those issues I would still recommend this product to anyone looking for a good value shaver.

Good news/bad news up front that this is my first electric shaver in nearly twenty years so while it’s hard to compare to other modern technology, I’ve got a clean palette.
Out of the box, it’s about what you’d expect. With the price point and brand, there’s no bells and whistle packaging, just the basics which is fine. It comes with the actual shaver, a travel pouch, cord, and cap and while I can’t speak for everyone, my shaver didn’t come charged, which is always a little eye rolling.
Really my one major gripe starts and stops here as you can’t use the shaver while it’s plugged in. A baffling decision that I have to assume because it’s “water proof” and they probably don’t want dummies holding it under the faucets while plugged in, but either way, don’t expect to use this immediately.
After charging was complete, usage was very simple. You genuinely just turn it on and start moving it around your face (directions say to do a circular motion but go crazy!)
I’ve got sensitive skin and psoriasis, and was really impressed with how gentle this was. Normally I have an electric bear trimmer that I use to leave a solid shadow on my face but even that will tear my skin up. This shaver gets much closer to the skin but does far less damage to my face, which was really impressive.
There’s a little switch that you can hit which pops out a straight electric razor which is advertised for mustache and sideburn trims. Not knowing what to expect, I used it and it certainly leaves the hair much longer than the base razor but still takes it down more than I need or wanted. That’s not a strike against Philips Norelco since they don’t advertise differently, but do note that this is limited in options. You get a real close shave with the base razor, or a one-size-hopefully-fits-all trimmer and nothing more, less, or in between.
That said, this is very straight forward, easy to use, and I’ll look forward to future use. Thumbs up.

I think the main advantage of this type of shaver is the ability to dry shave. It is awesome to just throw in the ‘go’ bag so that if you aren’t around a shower for a few days, you can still have a clean shave. It does work as your daily shaver as well; I just have never preferred these types as it takes a bit of extra time to get that ‘smooth’ baby face shave (which not everyone wants I suppose). But on the other hand, you can’t accidentally cut yourself with this shaver, so tradeoffs I suppose. If you go too fast and the hair is a little longer, it can pull the hair instead of cutting it, but it cuts it fast enough it only twinges for a second. The only other part is shaving dry really makes my face want shaving cream, so if you’re the same, don’t forget that. I love the pop-up trimmer that is perfect for sideburns. The charger being USB is awesome, however, I’d much rather have USB C at this point as it is taking over everywhere and with the shaver side being the shaver type of plug it’s not the easiest cable to replace with a USB C one. All that to say it gets the job done well, it can charge off of the same charger as other gadgets (just don’t forget the cord) and the battery lasts a while.

Solid 3-Ring Electric Razor

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I picked this up to replace an older 3000 series that wasn't holding a charge anymore. If you're familiar with Norelco's razor line, then there's really not that much to say. I didn't find this experience to be all that different from previous 3-ring razors from Norelco that I used in the past - and that's part of the appeal, I have a good idea about the quality of shave I'll get.
First off, the 2600 comes with 3 items in the box:
- Razor
- USB A charging cable (no power brick)
- Thin carrying case
Let's get my main gripe out of the way, I don't like that Philips isn't including a way to charge their razors without the use of a power brick from another source. If Philips was concerned about "e-waste" by bundling a power brick, then they could've left the charging port the same on the 2600 as it was on my 3000, but nope - can't use the same power cable, so I had to charge it with some random USB-A power brick that I had. It feels disingenuous to remove a way to charge a battery powered device while also making it incompatible with cables from recent Norelco products.
Now that's out of the way, I primarily use the 2600 the way I used my old 3000. I have pretty thick facial hair, most electric razors end up pulling the hairs out instead of curtting them. So I trim the hair down around my neck with a different razor first, then follow up with the 2600 to ensure most of the stubble is trimmed down. I've never had an electric razor that gets as smooth of a shave as a traditional blade does, but I also appreciate the convenience of a quick shave that's good enough, which is what the 2600 provides.
It is also wet / dry usable, but I've never used it wet. Call me odd, but the thought of brining in an electric device into the shower just seems, well, off.

I’ve used a different style electric shaver for many years now, though I did start out using Norelco’s rotary shavers way back when I was a teenager (and for at least the next two decades after). But now that I’m traveling a bit more for work, I figured maybe it would be time to go back and try a rotary head shaver and see if it would be useful as a backup or for travel so I wouldn’t have to cart around my really expensive unit in a duffel bag or suitcase. After using re-introducing myself to the Norelco for nearly 2 weeks now, and comparing the results against a much-pricier alternative with a completely different razor design, I can comfortably say that there is nothing patently offensive about the Norelco 2600, but it doesn’t really stand out to do anything exceptional either. If you just need a REALLY basic electric shaver that gets the job done and don’t want to break the bank to get it, give the 2600 a spin.
The design is functional rather than flashy or “modern-looking,” with nothing really in the way of lights, readouts, or displays (save for a single LED around the power button), or even sound indicators for things like charge status or low-battery warnings. Personally, I like the green colorway more than the stark black or simple shiny silver shell of the Norelco shavers I used to have. There is a handy cloth travel pouch and plastic shaver-head protector for travel, but this is the first Norelco I can ever recall not including a simple cleaning brush in the package.
I’m also not a big fan of the cost-cutting measures Norelco took for charging. The box comes with a short charging cable that features a USB-A connection on one end and a proprietary figure-8 charging tip on the other. No USB charger is included in the box. Personally, I wouldn’t mind the cable pack-in so much as USB chargers are fairly ubiquitous these days, but the shaver doesn’t feature a similarly ubiquitous charging port like a mini-USB or USB-C port. This means I can’t use any of several dozen USB charging cables I have lying about for phones, earbuds, flashlights, etc., but it also means I won’t be able to charge the shaver at all if the skimpy proprietary cable ever gets lost in the tangle of all those other USB cables I just mentioned. Sure, it keeps the cost down, but now I have a razor, cable, and charger I have keep track of separately when I travel, and our bathroom doesn’t have a host of USB ports built into the electric outlets, either.
In use, the floating circular cutters/combs do provide for a comfortable shaving experience, and you don’t need a great deal of force as you glide the shaving head across your face to start sending those whiskers and stubble packing. There is a rather long pop-up trimmer at the back for keeping straight edges smooth and well-defined. In a departure from the Norelco shavers of yore, this one has a captive shaver head that is hinged at the back—when you’re done shaving, just hit the release, flip the top back, and rinse out the cutters, combs, and shaving head.
At first, I thought I’d like this feature because I always used to remove the shaving head from my Norelco shaver, rinse it and the body out, then dry them separately on the counter so no water would get trapped under the blades overnight. With this design, I just leave the head flipped open for drying. However, with the shaving head attached to the body, I also couldn’t shake a lot of excess water out with a few vigorous motions over the sink because it felt like I might break the hinge and snap the head off completely if I manhandled it too much. This left me putting the shaver down on the counter with a lot more water still in the head assembly and body than I would like. In particular, a little excess water from inside the shaver that didn’t dry overnight tends to run out the bottom of the shaver over my hand when I start shaving the next morning. The instructions indicate that this is normal as all interior parts are waterproof, but it’s irritating, nonetheless.
Battery life seems decent though the single LED doesn’t really give you much in the way of knowing how many shaves you might have left before you need to juice up the shaver again. The LED that surrounds the power button flashes white during quick charge (5 minutes charging for 5 minutes operation) and a bit slower during regular charging—after an hour or so, it remains steady white indicating a full charge. Unfortunately, the LED status indicator doesn’t do anything else other than turn orange when there are less than 5 minutes of shaving time remaining. At the very least it would be nice to have a bit more warning that I need to find a USB port soon—maybe a flashing pattern after each session with 3, 2, or 1 flashes to indicate relative battery charge level?
Finally, shaving performance is about what you’d expect from a budget-friendly unit—serviceable. If you’re someone who likes to smooth things out at the end of the day, maybe before coming home from work or after a midday or afternoon workout, this shaver would probably fit the bill. I found the results on 1-day and 3-day beard growth in the mornings to be decent, with the large flats of my cheeks and neck feeling a bit smoother than the skin covering the sharper angles and transitions around my jawline. Sadly, I can’t say as the Norelco 2600 provides the closest shave I’ve ever felt—even for an electric—but for what it does, it does reasonably well at a value-based price point to boot.

Good Shaving Even in the Shower

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Because I know I’m not alone saying this, I will admit that the only reason I use an electric shaver is because I have no patience to use regular razor blades even though I am aware that it is hard to accomplish the same smooth result with an electric shaver. And the reason I like Philips Norelco shavers is because I can shave while I take my shower which is something that I have all the patience in the world to do at least once and often twice a day. Like other Norelco’s, this one is waterproof, so no concerns about damaging it with water no matter how long I take in the shower.
What I like about this model is that it is not very expensive but at the same time, it does not feel cheap either. Although it does not match the smoothness of a good razor blade, it is close enough for me to bother. Another good thing about it is that it is cordless for convenience, but it also works corded if you forgot to charge it, which can happen very easily when you travel.
Cleaning is easy, although there are some steps you need to follow to do it effectively. My previous experience with Norelco shavers in the past has taught me that the blades will go dull eventually, but they are also easy to replace.
Am I happy with everything about this Norelco Shaver 2600? Well, there is one con and that is that the trimmer is not very efficient. That’s nothing new to me. I have yet to find an electric shaver that trims well. I don’t believe Philips or any other manufacturer has found a solution for that issue. Other than that, it is very easy to recommend it, especially considering the cost benefit.

It shaves well until the first time you have to ( according to instructions ) take the head off and shake out the hairs and then put it back on. The shaving wheels are supposed to match each one to an individual rotater but there is no indication what goes where. Am keeping it as a puzzle while I continue to use my disposable shavers. Design, design etc.
