    The Phillips Norelco Series 3000 is light, fits comfortably in my hand, and provides a smooth shave. It's quiet, charges quickly, and lasts a long time on a charge. Has a pop-up trimmer which works as well as any others (none of them are as good as an actual trimmer) but it performs well. Small, compact size would travel easily and doesn't take up much room in the bathroom drawer! Can be used wet or dry, although I prefer using dry - not near as messy! Great little shaver!

    As a rule, I believe Philips Norelco makes a range of good to excellent electric shavers. My current shaver is a PN S6880, which I like very much. Because it does not have a built-in trimmer and popup heads for easy cleaning, I thought I would try the 3000 Series model which has those features. The built-in trimmer and the popup function for cleaning the heads, while both great features, do not make up for a shortcoming in the shaving performance….wet or dry. Dry left a lot of stubble, and wet left less, though still more than I find acceptable. In addition, the design of the ”handle” makes it uncomfortable to use. For me, the ease of use of the shaver and the closeness of the shave received far outweigh the peripherals. My S6880 is still the best electric shaver I have ever used: quality of shave and great ergonomics. If the quality of the shave is your main criterion, I suggest you consider a shaver from one of a higher numbered PN series. They may cost a little more; but, with Philips Norelco, you get value for the difference. If you don’t need a close shave, the Series 3000 (Model 3134) could be a good choice for you and at an economical price.

    THE BREAKDOWN: The Philips Norelco Shaver Series 3000 wet or dry kept up to the name with this new shaver. The shaver came with the shaver, power cord, protective head cap and soft pouch. I have troubles under my jawbone with ingrown hairs while using electric razors but after using this shaver for over a week I have yet to have any ingrown hairs. I will be using this daily to see if the pattern continues. I think that the pivot and flex heads really does a good job getting that close shave on all the contours of my face. I have shaved in both wet and dry conditions and have noticed to difference in the shave and the shaver itself worked fine in both conditions. It has a standard flip up trimmer that works just fine and there is really no design update on that. It has a nice rubber grip and a 3-level battery indicator. The battery has lasted right at 60 minutes. To clean you just remove the head and rinse with water. Very simple and easy. PRO’s: -5D Pivot & Flex heads -Can use in wet and dry conditions -Battery level indicator -Rubber grip -Easy to clean CON’s: -Standard flip up trimmer SUMMARY: Overall, this product worked well and as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they are in the market for device like this.

      It's possible that your shaver is not giving good results because it's dirty. There can be hair or dirt particles stuck inside it, causing the shaving heads to not function correctly. To fix this problem, please properly clean your shaver. If possible, remove the shaving heads and clean your shaver from the inside as well. When you shave with your Philips Shaver, you will achieve optimal results if you make slow circular movements with the shaver over the face. While shaving, it is important to be gentle, especially if you have sensitive skin prone to irritation. Do not press the shaver too hard against your skin. Only apply a gentle pressure which makes your facial hair stand upright and makes it easier for the shaver blades to catch and cut them. And lastly, another reason why your shaver might not be working properly is that it is not assembled correctly.

    I usually use my Gillette Mach 3 razor to get a close shave but after using the Phillips Norelco 3000 a couple times now I got to say it gives a close shave just the same as my Mach 3. I even used this on my head and and the same result. The fact that it is waterproof makes even that much better. Being able to wet my face and apply shaving cream and use this shaver is amazing. It's very easy to clean as well. Just run the shaver head under water to clean out shavings and let it air for a few hours. After it's done air drying you can plug it back in to charge where a charging indicator will let you know it fully charged when the light goes out. Overall this is a great shave and having the choice to use it either set or dry makes it convenient whatever your shaving style. I would definitely recommend this shaver to guy that is looking to buy a new shaver or replace a standard razor.
