Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the Series 3000 Wet/Dry Electric Shaver's excellent shave quality and long battery life. Many appreciate its ease of use and the inclusion of a convenient pop-up trimmer. While some users mentioned minor issues with cleaning and the lack of a carrying case, the positive feedback on shaving performance and features outweighs these concerns.

Bottom Line: The Philips Norelco 3000 S3560 is pretty basic, but it does deliver a close electric shave. Pros: Close shave, 50 minute run time on a single charge, can use wet (with or without shaving cream) or dry. Cons: can be hard to clean especially if using wet with shaving cream, can’t be used while plugged in Review: Norelco electric shavers have changed little in design over the years. The three blade do a really good job at delivering a close shave, and the flex in the blade head really does allow you to follow the contours of your face. I shaved with a manual razor yesterday morning around 8 and then with the Norelco around 2 and it did manage to shave a decent amount of hair off. The trimmer works well enough and pops up on the side. If I’m using an electric razor, I prefer a dry shave (for time and convenience) but the 3000 is sealed so you can use it wet with out without shaving cream. The 3000 also boasts a 50 minute run time on an hour charge time, so that will help people who are traveling or forget to charge it. The S3560 is a pretty bare bones package. You get the razor, the power cable, a plastic cover for the blade head, and a second plastic cover that allows you to trim but not completely remove facial hair (not relevant for me). The power cord was longer than I expected it to be, which is helpful to place the shaver somewhere while it’s charging since it doesn’t come with a stand. Conspicuously missing from the box (in my opinion) was an electric shaver cleaning brush. I suppose the brush would be irrelevant for wet shaves, but they are handy to clean the shaver for dry users. Instead, the instructions tell you to rinse the blade head (which pops open) under hot water. Having used a Norelco in the past, I can definitely say that this cleaning method doesn’t work so well especially after you’ve been using the razor for a while. The last thing I should definitely point out is that this razor cannot be used while plugged in. There is actually a big sticker on the side that says not to do that.

In the past years I have been shaving with several different cordless electric razor with a reciprocating rather than a rotary mechanism. That type of electric razor would shave portions of my face close very easily but left other areas of my face that needing more attention to get a satisfactory shave. I had reached the time to either replace the blades and foil on the previous reciprocating shaver for a second time or look look at a new electric razor. I just bought a new Philips Norelco Series 3000 Wet/Dry Electric Shaver with shaving heads of a new slightly different design that Philips has named Comfort Cut and it does a good job of shaving all of my face closely, quickly and quietly, and is very quick to clean. The new shaver is a model S3560 which is an economy model, no battery meter, no travel case, no stand/rest. It does have an LED which indicates when the shaver needs to be charged, is charging, and when the charge is complete. It includes a pop out trimmer, a snap on stubble guard, and a protective cap when not in use. I am very happy with the my new Philips Norelco Series 3000 Wet/Dry Electric Shaver I do wish it had included a travel pouch but it is good product at an good price.

The Philips Norelco S3560 Wet/Dry Electric Shaver came with 3 rotating shaving heads that can be used dry, or wet (with water or shaving cream.) It comes with a cover which is convenient for traveling or safe storage in your bathroom. It also has a guard that can be used to obtain a 3-day stubble look. Another feature is the trimmer which can be popped up for a clean trim. The unit is chargeable (which takes an hour) and it will last for about 50 minutes before needing to be recharged. It has a low battery indicator as well as a shaver-head replacement indicator. It is easily cleaned by pressing a button to flip open the top to expose the shaver heads, and then rinsing under running water. It is waterproof and can be used in the shower. The shape is ergonomically designed for a comfortable grip and ease of use. The shaver provided a close shave comparable to a razor shave with no nicks and a faster finishing time. Pros: Fast shave No cuts or nicks Waterproof Cordless Close shave Wet or dry shave Comfortable grip Light weight – easy to use Cons: None

Once Again, I'm a Satisfied Customer

The Philips Norelco - Series 3000 Wet/Dry Electric Shaver is great. It's easy for me to say that since this my 3rd similar Norelco shaver. I've found them all easy to use and clean. The shave is smooth and close (for an electric), and I use the pop-up blade for trimming my beard. The charge lasts for days which adds to the convenience of using it. The Norelco units have been increasingly water-friendly, but this one pushes that to new limits with its Wet/Dry designation. It also feels a bit more substantial than previous versions. I suspect the charge will last longer also. An interesting addition with the 3000 is the 'stubble' accessory. It's a selling-point on the box and in descriptions, but I could not find any reference to it in the directions. In reality, it's just a plastic cover that goes over the blades giving about an eighth of an inch length. I actually use in on my head, not my face, for a casual buzzed look! It works for me. Once again, I'm a satisfied user of a Philips Norelco electric shaver.

I have been using Norelco electric shavers for most of my life because I think they offer the most comfortable shave you can get from an electric. But I always opted for a corded version. This model shows a cordless works just as well, if not better, since if offers the same comfortable shave Norelcos are famous for and provides the flexibility of not being tied to an electrical outlet. The whole wet/dry thing, which is nice. I was most surprised by the comfort and close shave this model provides, with very flexible triple rotary top that easily wraps around all curves on your face. Plenty of power to handle my beard. The overall design is well thought out too. There's lithium ion battery power that lasts almost an hour and recharges almost as fast -- with a five minute one-shave charge option if you are in a hurry. A single multicolor light shows when its time to charge as well as when its fully charged. (There's another light that pops on to remind you when to buy new rotary blades. Once a year is recommended) . A popup trimmer, standard on every Norelco triple header for decades, makes it easy to keep sideburns and moustaches under control. There's even a stubble attachment for those who prefer the hobo look. Cleanup is easy. The rotary blade assembly is hinged and pops open for routine cleaning under running hot water. Each rotary assembly also can be removed when its time for a thorough scrubdown. The only downside is the shaver will not run while charging (ie plugged in), which means when the battery is dead, you basically have to throw it away. But that's true of almost every cordless shaver. For what it's worth, there is a two year warranty. If you don't want to spend a lot of money but like the comfort of a Norelco and the convenience of a cordless model, it's hard to go wrong with this one.
