I love Norelco shavers!

I just want to preface by saying that I have owned Norelco Shavers my entire life. I used to use my dad's when I first started shaving and loved them so much that I only bought them moving forward. I have tried other brand shavers and cannot get the close shave that a Norelco does.
So, that being said I got the 3000 Series shaver with high expectations. The initial quality is there right out of the box, just as I expected. I charged it that day and was ready to use it that night. It works just as I expected with the same great Norelco quality I have come to not only expect, but demand. This shaver did not let me down. It gave me a close shave with a nice painless cut. It gets very close and is the next best thing to a razor and cream shave.
The next thing I did was use the stubble attachment a few days later. I must say that I did like the way it left the stubble. My hair is very straight and course so getting that stubble look is not difficult so this attachment makes a perfect pairing. It actually made me change my look from a traditional goatee to an all around stubble. I love it!
I then tried the trimmer on my sideburns and it also worked very well. I really love the trimmers on the Norelco shavers and they work flawlessly. I don't know what it is but the trimmers are always very smooth and cut just right.
Overall I would say that this shaver will meet or exceed your expectations for a close shave and you will love it just as much as I do!

This razor is light and has a good rubber grip. I’m surprised at how close of a shave it gives. Nothing shaves as close as a blade, but it gets just as close as electric razors costing much more. The pop out trimmer is a real plus and the top pops open easily for cleaning. It doesn’t come with a case, but the well packaged plastic it comes in can be used for storage.

Philips Norelco - Series 3000 Wet/Dry Electric Shaver
Included- A manual, protective cap, stubble guard, charging cord, and shaver.
The features on this shaver are great. I like the flexibility to use this shaver wet or dry. You can use shaving cream if you prefer, but it's not required. The lithium ion battery has a run-time up to 50 minutes. It has a pop up trimmer to use on sideburns or shaping a mustache. The indicator lights to tell you when to replace the shaver head and the battery level. It has the ability to do a quick 5 minute charge for a quick 5 minute shave if you're in a bind. The handle is sleek and comfortable to hold in your hand.
As far as performance, I have not personally used it. I got it for my 13 year old son, who needs to start some light shaving. It works great for him. I don't have to worry about cuts and nicks that often happen from a manual shaver. This will be great now and in the future as his facial continues to grown in.

This wet/dry electric shaver is pretty good. Easy to use but not so easy to clean. I got it for traveling but doesn't come with a case. It takes about an hour to charge from dead but you can start using it after 5-10 minutes of charging. There's also a little pop up trimmer attached. But overall, it does a pretty good job with the shave wet or dry.

I've been using Philips/Norelco electric razors since Carter was President, and this one is only the third one I've had! This is the best one yet - same great shave, but long battery life, quick charging, and wet-capable operation and cleaning make it a winner. If you haven't shaved with a rotary electric before, it will take a couple weeks of use for your face to get used to it, so if you get one don't be discouraged at first. I've been using one of these for a long time and switching to a new one required no adjustment period. I get more than a week's worth of shaves from a single battery charge, which is fantastic. Overall excellent.

This is my second Norelco electric shaver.
The first one was purchased just before going away to college.
I was only twenty one then.
Over the years two batteries were installed.
Surprisingly this new shaver looks just like the one it replaced.
Unlike my old one, no carrying case came with this one. So I deducted one star on this review.
U can get an optional shaver stand. Be sure to use the coupon for a discount and free shipping. Also to extend the warranty for six extra months.
Will have to try a wet shave with foam to see if it does a better shave. Always use pre-shave lotion for best results when doing a dry shave.
My first time out I did a dry shave. Results as predicted for a clean device with fresh shaver heads. A good job.
In the past a drug store near me carried replacement heads and even cleaning solution in a black container. But all of that can be purchased online.
If this model electric shaver last as long as my old one, it’ll probably out live me !

I would have to say that I am quite happy with my first experience with an electric shaver. This Phillips Norelco shaver worked fantastic giving me a smooth, clean, close shave. It took a few days for my face to adjust to this new form of shaving, and I am sold I will not go back. The built in trimmer is a great feature. I didn’t use the stubble gaurd due to my job requiring a clean shaven face.
I am happy with this shaver and enjoy using it on a daily basis.

This shaver is very basic. Did not come with a carrying case which is an essential for a shaver for a traveler. It did not take very long to charge up, Also did not come with a brush to clean the razor. You can rinse it under the water to clean it. It does have a pop up blade for sideburns and such which is handy but the mechanism seems quite weak and suspect it won’t last too long. If you want a relatively inexpensive electric razor this might be for you. If you are looking for a well made unit that will last this is sure not it.

I'm not new to electric shavers, I've used them for years. However, I have never used a rotary electric before. I've always wanted to try one. For me, this was an acquired taste that I never really felt comfortable with.
It performed OK, but it never felt natural for some reason. I never got a sense of where the blades were located and I never seemed to be able to get it in the exact right position to get the best shave. It's lightweight, maybe too lightweight. The motor sounds very small and under powered compared to other shavers I've used, and sounds like a kids toy instead of a quality razor, applying more pressure did seem to bog the motor down. I was able to get a good shave out of it but it took a lot of work re-positioning and going over the same spot several times. I found it especially hard to maneuver around my chin and upper neck area. The pop up trimmer looked useful, but again, it just didn't seem to work all that great and the angle I needed to use it at always eluded me. It's wet/dry feature may appeal to some, but I've never used a wet shaver. The head pops open for what would be easy cleaning if it included a brush, which it doesn't. You could clean it by running it under water, but I feel at some point you're going to need to do more than that.
This is not a bad razor, it's just a very basic entry level one. It's rotary style I feel would work better on people with rounder, fuller faces. If your face is more angular, you would probably be better off with a standard electric razor as I just couldn't get it to track well around my chin line.

I enjoy Philips products. they always work great. my only complaint and why I give it a 4 star is that you cant use while plugged in. not sure why they did this. But at least there products have a fast charge and usually can get a good shave in with only about a 5 min charge. But most batteries start to go bad. why I like to be able to use plugged in.
outside of that, its a great razor. gets a pretty smooth shave in and very comfortable to use. even has a piece so if you like to have a shadow you can easily keep that. if you are looking for a nice razor that does the job. this is a must have.

It has been 20+ yrs since I last used an electric shaver (single edge Braun). I used to love the convenience but hated the burn along the neck--especially if my neck was still moist. Humidity used to make it impossible to use an electric daily for me. My neck would turn ground beef and burn for days.
Fast forward 20 yrs and I was very skeptical of giving an electric razor another try--especially now that I am bald and shave my head and face in the shower. Fortunately, all indications are I have found an electric razor that will meet my "enhanced" needs.
I decided to go with a 3-circle flex head model primary because of my desire to see if I could use an electric on my dome. I figured it would contour to my head fairly well and I was right. So far minimal head irritation. Plus the shaver is easy to blindly maneuver around my head, ears, and neck. I normally "blade shave" my head twice a week and was was skeptical that the electric would handle 3-4 day stubble but it seems to get the job done. Occasionally there is a stray spot to contend with but I had that problem with a blade too if I wasn't paying attention.
Face shaving is a daily chore. I like that I can use this shaver dry or wet. Dry shaves are fine as long as my skin is dry. I have had some dry shave issues getting areas around the neck/Adam's apple. I was initially a bit too aggressive and paid the price. "Wet" shaving (with a thin coat of gel) made working the sensitive areas a bit easier with less irritation. Wet or dry, cleanup is a breeze since you can pop the top and run it under water.
I have not used the "stubble" accessory and the trimmer seems a bit under-powered. As for overall power, the shaver holds its juice well and gives me a satisfaction equal to that of listening to a bug zapper on a summer's night as the magical spinning circles of doom wack down my morning stubble. I easily get a week's worth of head/face shaving out of one full charge. I don't know how long I can go because I have never pushed the battery beyond the 1 week limit. Philips claims 50 minutes / 17 shaves. I won't get the same 17 shaves result because of my head shaving, but I have no reason to believe the razor won't perform to those standards.
As for the accessories, there are only two (unless I missed something in the packaging): 3-day stubble accessory and the blade protector. I am confident I am going to lose both. I am surprised (and maybe even a bit disappointed) that the razor does not come with a simple drawstring bag and/or a charging cradle.
An electric never gives you the closeness of a blade--or even better, of your barber's blade--especially in difficult regions like the neck. Nonetheless, my face (and dome) is clean shaven enough for a full day at the office. If you are looking for an easy, better than average shave with the luxury of the wet/dry option, this razor will likely do the trick for you.

Overall: Seems built with good/high quality. Gives a good shave for those mornings when you don't have time or are running late.
Stubble guard: while a good idea in theory, doesn't seem to work all all that well for me.
Wet/dry: I really like this feature. Having the ability to use this in the shower, after the shower, or with a dry face really is useful to me.
I like this, give as close a shave as you can get with an electric razor. Ergonomics are well designed too.

Norelco shavers have come a long way since I purchased my last one, probably 20 years ago. The old shaver was heavy and after each shave you had to remove each of the rotary cutting heads, making sure you didn't mix up the blade for each and dry clean them with the included brush. To do it right took several minutes and was one of the reasons I switched to a foil head shaver.
The new 3100 is so much easier to clean, you just open it, rinse it under hot water, shake it and you're done. After it dried, the heads seemed whisker free, so much easier than my old Norelco.. The shaver is also half the weight of my old shaver, not much heavier than a blade shaver actually.
But most important is how does it shave? I was given a foil headed shaver a year ago which cost 300 dollars. This shaver is 50. It's really hard to see or feel much difference between the two, and CERTAINLY the other one isn't worth SIX times the cost. The fact that this shaver doesn't have an LCD screen makes no difference to my beard.
Also this shaver comes with a clip on "Stubble Guard." Being an old guy, I had no idea what that was, but I learned that if you like that neatly groomed "stubble look." this shaver will provide that. I don't think I'll be using that feature however.
Bottom line, I don't think you can go wrong with the Norelco 3100 at a 50 dollar price point.

Pretty smooth razor. I'm not someone that has a ton of facial hair, but this razor did an effective job at what I threw at it. Did not take long to charge, and easy to clean as well, which is nice.
The only negative, is to be sure you shave close and repeat to get every hair. I found that if not really thorough, there will be missed spots.
I would recommend this shaver. Seems like a great gift option too.

I wish there was something exciting here, but it is an electric shaver. There are no bells and whistles and there isn't much to deep dive into here. It is the most basic 3 head shaver. They are single blades so it takes a little more time to get a good shave. I have used others with 3 blades in each head and they cut so much faster. There isn't anything fancy here at all. It lacks the ability to shave while plugged in, so this is a MAJOR negative. If you run out of battery you will look stupid with a bad shave.
Pros
+Wet/Dry Shaves
+ Long Battery Life
+Ergonomic Design
+Trimmer for Edging
Cons
-Basic Blades - Single blade x 3 heads
-Replacement Cost - The replacement cost almost half the price of the shaver.
-Lack of Corded Mode - When charging this, it will not work. If you run out of battery, you are out of luck since you cannot shave with it plugged in.
-=||The Verdict||=-
If you are in the market for an electric shaver, put the money you would spend towards this one and get a higher end model. There is an 8 series Norelco has that offers a much better shave.

One hour on the charger and the Norelco shaver is ready to use. It's designed to give 5-hours of use between charges. Wet or dry the triple head glides over my skin with no effort. I wash my face as usual upon waking up, towel dry then I use Williams Lectric pre-Shave as it seems to eliminate any irratation .
This shaver can be used wet or dry, even with shave cream.
I like the side burn trimmer built in. Pop open the head and rinse under running wate to keep it clean for the next day.
New feature alert: Stubble guard for the clean yet manly (rugged) look. Perfect way to stay groomed without alot of work.
The blades are replaceable. Another FEATURE: the LED indicates it is time to change the blade and also changes color to let you know the battery needs charging. All in all I am very happy with this shaver.

I've always used an electric razor. Years ago, when Norelco came out with a "wet razor," I gave it a try as my face gets easily irritated. It was better than most, but the battery life didn't last long, and it would quickly wear out if I used it in the shower instead of over a sink (perhaps due to the amount of water it took in). With this new razor, it shaves my stubble fast and leaves my face smoother than my old one. It could be that the razor head is brand new and sharp, but it also seems like it spins the heads faster for better coverage. As an added bonus, it comes with a stubble guard if I want to go for the "haven't shaved for a day" look. I've been doing that on my face dry, and then using the wet capabilities on my neck with great results.

I am testing this unit out, more for my own satisfaction than anything. I like to keep a very trim beard getting the exact length is a challenge but I manage. I was hoping this device and the added stubble guard would do the trick and become a part of my grooming mandate. Not the case. The stubble guard is a silly plastic clip on that just did not work for me. The shaver will shave clean and close leaving a very smooth face. However, if you have longer than 1 cm length hairs, USE the trimmer first! Then though, the trimmer is not really on par for other Norelco shavers and struggles to edge like one of my other like Norelco shavers. The shaver is nice, well built, and is perfect for a quick flawless shave. It will contour to your face as if it was made just for you. Like I stated the features are what I was looking for personally but will continue to use if I need a razor close shave.

I have always been a Norelco fan and this is another great product. First, I appreciated the very fast charge. The shave is similar to previous products, but this one includes a "dirty shave" attachment for that five o'clock shadow look. I am blonde, so I have a light beard anyway. I appreciate option to have the shadow look.
It seems to be a quality build and it gives a nice, smooth and clean shave. The attachment gives it an extra feature. The quick charge is also great compared to other products that I have owned.
