I always felt like the regular toothbrush gave a good clean but not the best clean. This auto toothbrush gives me that fresh clean feel i was looking for.

I love this toothbrush so much, I wish I had gotten one sooner! My teeth have never felt so clean. After 1 week of using it I can already see my teeth are a little bit whiter than they were. The toothbrush is very intuitive to use, I only had to read the manual to make sure I wasn't missing any features. The Philips Sonicare 2100 has 2 speeds, and it has 3 reminders that go off every 30 seconds to let you know it's time to clean a different area. it also has a neat design feature where it starts out a little gentler than normal the first times to allow the user to get accustomed to using a power brush. After the first 14 uses it will ramp up the power/intensity to full power for even better cleaning. I really like the Philips Sonicare toothbrush and would highly recommend it to anyone. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't come with a power supply for the charger base. Instead it comes with a USB cable and expects you to already have a USB charger available to use. The only problem is the last 10 things I bought that needed chargers, also didn't come with one, so now I have a desk full of gadgets, all competing for an old charger I have left over from a phone I bought years ago... The battery does last quite a while after it's charged up though, it's been over a week and it's still going strong, but when it dies I will have to take it out into the living room to recharge it on my computer desk, and that's just tacky IMO. The Philips Sonicare would be a home run if not for the lack of charger.

This product works real good, for a hygienist to notice the difference after thirty days of use.

The Sonicare toothbrush does an excellent job of cleaning my teeth. I went to my dentist for my quarterly cleaning and mentioned that I had gotten a Sonicare toothbrush and they highly recommended it. The brush has 2 speeds and they recommend starting on the lowest speed until you get used to it. I have never used a powered toothbrush so it took a little time to get used to the vibration and noise but once you do the brush does an excellent job of cleaning. It is recommended to brush for 2 minutes in 4 quadrants and it lets you know every 30 seconds when to change to the next area. The brush comes with a charging base and USB cable but you need to supply your own adapter to plug it into a wall outlet. Not a big deal as most people will have adapters. There is a charging light on the brush to let you know when it is fully charged. Sonicare claims 14 days of run time. I can’t confirm this as I have not had the brush in use for that amount of time. The brush appears to be well made and is easy to handle. It comes with one brush head but included with the owner’s manual which is very comprehensive there is an included card that says if you register the brush, they will send you an additional brush head free as well as a 6-month extension on the warranty. Nice touch Sonicare. I have been enjoying using this brush and hope it performs well for a long time.

The built-in timer lets you know how long you should use it for best results. I’ve found that my teeth feel cleaner with less toothpaste being used. It has 2 speeds, although the faster speed I only used twice when I felt I wanted to get a little deeper clean around my gums. The vibration feels good on your gums and makes your mouth tingle a little when finished. If you press to hard against your teeth it will buzz a little, not sure if that’s a design or just the result of pushing to hard. It does not remove the need to floss your teeth. The head size fits easily around all my teeth and gets all the way around the back teeth as well. Charge time is long, 24 hours. Run time is about 2 weeks at twice a day. Overall this is a good investment for making sure you brush long enough and keep your teeth as clean and fresh as you can.

I was expecting a typical electric toothbrush, but this was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting a brush where the bristles moved basically duplicating (at a higher speed) normal brushing action. This unit has 2 speeds, and initially, you want to start using it on low. There's an option to have the unit gradually increase the intensity over time. The built-in timer is set for 2 minutes and can divide your brushing time into quarters. The battery life is stated to be 14 days, and the charging base uses a standard USB-A connector but no charging block is included. From what I can tell this technology is a game changed when it comes to oral care.

My young teenage son has been asking for an electric toothbrush for a few years so I decided to give this one a shot. I handed the package to my son and told him to set it up on his own, and he had no issues. He said it was very simple to put together and to begin using. He loved how clean it made his teeth feel; he uses toothpaste with baking soda because he loves the tingling so this toothbrush really intensified it. The power button is how you adjust the intensity; it is very easy to press it unintentionally and suddenly the toothbrush will be more powerful than it started out. It's a small design flaw but you definitely have to learn to work around it. However, my son says his teeth have never felt cleaner and he really enjoys using the toothbrush so he can overlook that. It came charged out of the box; he's been using it for a couple minutes twice a day for a couple weeks now and it still has not yet needed to charge. The battery life is impressive, as I own an electric toothbrush from another well-known manufacturer and it requires a charge much more often. Overall we're very impressed with this model and would definitely recommend to others of all ages.

I think that the Sonicare 2100 is a great option and brings a professional type of tooth cleaning to your bathroom. I used electric toothbrushes before but the sonicare has a great combination of cleaning power that feels like the hygienist just ended her job, and that every night. The sonicare box comes with the handle, plus 1 brush head and the stand that serves to power it. The stand is connected by a USB outlet. Not sure why, and I dislike this moderm practice in the new electronics, the USB wall charger adapter is not included so plan to add one to your purchase. I love couple of great features of this model: The toothbrush is smart enough to help the user to keep the right brushing pattern. A two-minute per teeth preprogrammed process. The brush does control all the processes, including one option that will increase intensity over a two-weeks process following your learning process. Great battery that according to the specs goes up to 14 uses. I used it three times per day over the last week and only recharged once. There are two speeds and intensities that can be selected depending on your preference. The toothbrush is very ergonomic and light, it feels very natural in the hand. Probably the lighter that I ever had. The two-year guarantee that in a daily use device seems and great bet from the manufacturer. Final note, in the bow you can find a free brush-head offer after subscription on their web. Please note that’s only if you sign up for a subscription to their replacement programs. Not cool. I love the toothbrush and I think that at that price is the right value.

I love my new Sonicare power toothbrush. I’ve previously used battery operated spinning brushes you buy in the toothbrush section, but this is my first time trying a Sonicare. This is also the first time I’ve had to read the instructions for a toothbrush before using it, lol. And I’m glad I did! At first glance you think, just charge it, press the button, brush and done. But there is so much more here. This toothbrush not only gives you a top-notch sonic cleaning, it also instructs you along the way! The Sonicare 2100 comes nicely packaged in a small easy to recycle box. Along with the handle unit it includes a charging base, USB charging cable, one toothbrush head and a hygienic travel cap. This does not come with a power adapter, however you can contact Philips support to have onc sent to you for free. There is also an offer to receive a free brush head, however after following the steps I couldn’t figure out how to get it so I called customer support. I was told that you have to sign up for one of the Sonicare brush head subscription plans to receive the free head. The subscription plans cost between $7.99 and $11.99 every three months to receive a new head every three months. Furthermore, out of the eight brush head designs they offer, all but one are currently out of stock. Hopefully I’ll be able to find a new brush head in three months, when it’s time to replace mine. The vibrations from the Sonicare can take some getting used to, but luckily it comes preset with the EasyStart feature turned on. EasyStart gently increases the power over your first fourteen brushings to help you adapt to brushing with the Sonicare. You can turn this feature off if you don’t want to wait fourteen brushings to experience the full power of your Sonicare. Another cool feature of the Sonicare is something they call the QuadPacer, an interval timer that has a short beep and pause to remind you to brush the four sections of your mouth evenly and thoroughly. It gives you thirty seconds to brush each section. The instruction booklet includes a diagram of teeth and how to divide it into the four sections. There is also a SmarTimer feature which turns off the toothbrush after two minutes of brushing, which is the minimum time recommended by Dental professionals. Personally, I don’t understand why they choose to set the timer to the minimum recommended time. Why shoot for the minimum? Also, the QuadPacer has you brush the front top, back top, front bottom, back bottom, then the timer goes off. It doesn’t offer time to brush the top and bottom chewing surfaces. You have to start the brush again to continue brushing. Either I’m not understanding this fully or they didn’t put much thought into the timing between the QuadPacer and the SmarTimer. Either way, it’s not that hard to press the button again and go for another round of brushing. The battery seems to last a long time, I’ve been using this for about five days now and have only charged it once, after I first got it. I’ll probably only charge it when the battery light indicator starts flashing at me, that way I don’t have to have a cord and charger sitting on my bathroom countertop all the time. Overall I’m very happy that I got this Sonicare toothbrush. Brushing just got a little more exciting and my teeth feel cleaner than ever before! I don’t think I’ll go back to a regular toothbrush again, unless I can’t find any new brush heads. We will see. ;)

I’ve owned a similar, and much older, version of this toothbrush for quite a while and jumped at the opportunity to test this model. First off, this is an excellent buy in price. I dare say even on the go as this arrived with enough charge to brush my teeth without charging it. This unit comes with two levels of sonication, both of which are comfortable for me. The performance is excellent as expected. And maybe the best feature that I found is the haptic feedback you get when you make a successful connection to the charging base. The base is USB powered. And this package does not include a charging adapter either. But that is the direction things are going with respect to electronics manufacturing and packaging. It simply isn’t responsible to pack one with every single unit and I appreciate that effort along with the largely recyclable packaging this toothbrush came in.

I haven't had an electric toothbrush in a while. THE GOOD ~ Holds a charge a good while ~ Feels good ~ Lightweight ~ Good cover ~ Brush head great size ~ USB charging ~ Timed THE BAD ~ There is no charging block THE MEH (could go either way) ~ There is no charging block ~ The dog hates it OVERALL There is a lot to like about this toothbrush. For starters, it works. Perhaps it's a placebo effect, but when I look at my teeth after brushing them with this, they appear a bit whiter and shinier than when I use my normal brush. I don't know if I just imagine that or if it's because I spend a bit more time brushing with this than I do a normal brush. Directions state you should brush your teeth in quadrants (upper left, lower left, etc) and spend 30 seconds on each quadrant then do inside and chewing surfaces. So, it takes more than 2 minutes. I haven't actually timed it, but I started off doing as recommended. Eventually, the toothbrush shuts off as if to say, "Good job, you're all done." The vibration feels good during use and leaves my mouth & gums feeling good for a short while after I'm done. It's difficult to explain, but think about the feeling your back has after a good massage and then apply that to your mouth. One thing I didn't like was when I opened the box and saw it came with a USB charging station, but no charging block. I thought that was weird, but I was more irked by the commentary in the box that they are not including the box because they're saving the planet and a block is about 16 million plastic bottles (I think that was the figure they used). They assume everybody has extra blocks sitting around the house or going in the trash every day. Yes, I have a lot of blocks. I also have a lot of devices I plug in. More than that, when I am told something like what they said, I feel like they were trying to find ways to cut corners on price to increase profits and then through in a social cause to justify themselves. After all, who doesn't care about the planet? If I had to ding them for something, it would be that. It may not bother everyone, so I included it under the MEH section, too. For me, it was a let down. For you, it might not be. Also under the MEH is the fact my Rottweiler detests the sound it makes. To me, it isn't bad. It's just that typical whine/whir you might expect. Because the dog doesn't like it, I try to brush when she isn't around me. It's nothing to ding the company over, but I thought people with weird fur babies might want to know their dog may growl at them when they use this. LOL The question everyone always wants answered: Would I recommend it? Yes, I would. It might even be something parents could use on smaller kids who hate brushing their teeth after waking or at bedtime. The sensation is, as I said, like massaging your mouth. That might just make kids enjoy brushing.

The Phillips Sonicare line up is known for quality, and this unit maintains that. In the box you will find a USB powered stand, Power handle, 1 brush head with cap, and a manual. It is recommended to charge the unit for 24 hours before use. The manual explains all the options and use nicely. If you have never used a Sonicare brush before this unit has a program to gently get up to full power over 2 weeks. If you do not have a spare USB power adapter, I suggest you get one beforehand, as this unit does not come with one. We have the larger Sonicare and get close to the same results. If you are considering changing to a Power brush, I suggest you start here.

I have used an electric toothbrush for some time, and when the battery started to go on the old one, I decided to give the Sonicare a try. I have to say it’s a different experience and took a few days to get comfortable with it. The Sonicare 2100 (new version) is light, compact, and hums a bit like an angry hornet, but it seems to do the job. Unlike my previous brush, the Sonicare moves the brush-head less but at an incredibly fast speed. Once you learn to let it do its work and slowly move it rather than “brushing”, it works quite well. As stated, the Sonicare is light and compact, and it also seems well made. The battery life is stated as 14 days per charge, but I haven’t had it long enough to test that claim. The new thing about charging is that it uses a USB connection on the cable, and Phillips does not include a charging block. They include a statement about saving the environment, but I’m guessing it’s also a way to keep the price down. This is getting to be a trend with many products, and most of us have several USB chargers we can use. The price is well less than many electric brushes, but it does everything I want. It has a 2-minute timer that buzzes every 30 seconds. It has a high-low intensity choice, and it has an optional two-week ramp-up in intensity if you need to get used to electric brushing. This is the “new version” Sonicare 2100, and that causes some confusion. Really, Phillips? Just change the model number when you change the product. I had difficulty registering since their website seems a bit confused about the numbers. They offer a free brush-head, but that’s only if you sign up for a subscription to receive a brush every 3 months for $8 to $12 each, and it wouldn’t accept my discount code. This deal reminded me a bit of the old printer days … sell the printer cheap and make you money on cartridges, so I just passed. That aside, it’s a good product at a good price which I can recommend.

Unboxing the Philips Sonicare 2100 was a pleasant surprise. Easy to get into and very minimal packaging. Contents were simple: A toothbrush handle, a toothbrush head, and a charging stand with a USB connector at the end of the cord. No charging brick is supplied, but it appears that any old USB charger you have in a drawer will probably work fine. I’m using one that came from an old Chromecast we decommissioned years ago. The documentation says it was omitted to reduce environmental impact, etc., and if you want one to contact Philips. Contact instructions are included. A full charge can take up to a day, but the instructions say it can be used with partial charge. When the toothbrush is placed on the charging stand, there is a double beep signaling correct placement, and a battery level indicator LED toward the base of the toothbrush handle lights up. I have only been using the brush for a few days at this point, but after the initial charge it is still going strong. Brushing is a straightforward process. The Philips Sonicare ships in a mode called EasyStart that gradually increases vibration intensity over 14 days of use. This is to allow the user time to become accustomed to the new brushing method. The toothbrush automatically shuts off after two minutes of operation. It has a cool feature Philips calls Quadpacer that beeps and pulses brush operation at 30-second intervals as a cue to move on to the next quadrant/area of your mouth. It’s a handy reminder. For years I have used an electric toothbrush with a round oscillating head, and I always thought it did a good job. After using the Philips Sonicare 2100 a handful of times, I can tell you that I have never had a better home toothbrush. Its performance exceeds any expectations I had. After brushing, my teeth have that just-from-the-dentist kind of clean feeling that I usually only experience right after a professional cleaning. This is my new favorite toothbrush! It is so impressive, I bought one for my wife.

I always had an electric toothbrush as I feel it does a better job (or maybe i'm lazy) but this is my 1st sonic type brush. My other have been the conventional rotating head brushes. The Sonicare was slimmer than others I have seen and with a charging base included. Brush assembly is easy and it includes 1 brush head. There is also a charging base included. There is no power brick included and I had to get a cell phone charger from an old phone. I guess they are following the phone industry by excluding this accessory. Build quality seems good. I like the 2 minute timer as I tend to lose track of time when brushing. The brush also has 2 levels of intensity but I did not feel much difference. Using the toothbrush is comfortable. It feels good in the hand and makes brushing easy. Philips says this lasts 2 weeks on a charge. I haven't had it long enough to confirm, but that is great.

I planned to use this toothbrush for traveling. I sometimes forgot to pack my current Sonicare toothbrush which is about two years old and still working like new. My older Sonicare has a large plugin charger and base. This new brush has a very small and light USB induction charger. But a charge will not likely be needed except on the longest of trips as this only needs a charge every two weeks. Enough for 28 two minute brushings. No AC power adapter is included in the package. I appreciate the cost savings and waste reduction by not getting another charger to toss in the drawer. If you do not have a USB charger, you’ll need to pick one up. If this is your first Sonicare, read the well written manual to take full advantage of it. • For new Sonicare users there is an “EasyStart” setting which will start with a low power and gradually increase the power during the first 14 brushings to help you adjust. • You can also manually choose between low and high intensity settings if full speed is still just too much. • While brushing, the moor will momentarily pause the brushing every 30 seconds as a signal to move on to the next area to clean. After two minutes the brush powers off. But you can easily hit the button for another two minute cycle if you lagged behind a bit, and press the button to stop the brush. This new Sonicare is much lighter and thinner than my older one. This new brush is much closer to a standard toothbrush, maybe twice the diameter, far less like a tool or appliance. It has a non-slip matte finish on it that works well. The look and feel are top quality. I’ve yet to put this one in my travel bag and I doubt I will at this point. It’s much easier to hold to maneuver than my old one which is much heavier and thicker than this new model. I would occasionally drop the old one during use as a result, but so far not this one. It’s so much easier to hold and maneuver. The change is worth it just for the ergonomics. I grew up with manual brushes and always had terrible cleanings. I tried the round head electric brush for a few years and my cleanings were only a bit better. I don’t think the round brush was a good fit for my teeth. The Sonicare brush gives me better results and has made a difference in my cleanings, which go faster now with far less scrapping. I’m not sure if it’s the brush shape, the speed of the brush, or a bit of both, but this type of brush really works for me. If you feel that your cleanings could be better, this is surely worth a try. I’m a big fan of this type of brush.
