Love this brush! It is so quiet yet it is so strong. The app makes you notice so much more about brushing your teeth.

Had an older model for 6 years! Decided to splurge on Top of the Line. Intelligent design recognizes the brush head and automatically adjusts for proper speed and intensity. Comes with a great variety and number of brush heads. Looks are Elegant! My teeth were Whiter in 1 Week! Makes brushing teeth easy. App is OK. Basic. But it does help and keeps track of how often you brush.

Our family has used Philips Sonicare toothbrushes for at least 18 years. Of course, one of the 3-year old DiamondClean toothbrushes we suddenly needed to replace jumped off the counter and broke itself... but that is a story for another day. We decided to replace it with the DiamondClean Smart 9700 Rechargeable Toothbrush in Lunar Blue. It is pretty snazzy looking and the feedback you receive DURING brushing clinched the deal because we hoped that feedback would help our handicapped son improve his brushing technique. We returned from the store and downloaded the app on his phone to begin the process of syncing the toothbrush to the app. Oh, gosh, they want an email address they can verify. Not a problem; have a burner email for just this type of occasion. Check. Now they want notification access. I can change it later if it becomes annoying. Check. Then, ‘Do you authorize sharing the phone’s data’ [I’m paraphrasing from memory.] Selected, ‘No, thanks.’ Hmm. The syncing process doesn’t progress. Go out of the app and back in: still there. Read this, read that; progression doesn’t budge. If it won’t accept, ‘No, thanks’, why is it an option? Called Philips Customer Support and learned unless we agree to share the phone’s data with the manufacturer; the app won’t work - we cannot sync the toothbrush to the app. Again. The App Will NOT Work Unless You Give Philips, and Heaven only knows Who Else in all that fine print, ACCESS TO YOUR PHONE’S DATA. For a cutesy app - that may or may not make any difference in my son’s brushing technique – in this day-and-age of data breach-a-paloozas; or purposely selling data to another company who, oopsie, promised not to do this or that… Nah, that’s a deal breaker: That DiamondClean Smart 9700 Rechargeable Toothbrush in Lunar Blue returned to the store from whence it came!

employing bluetooth technology in a toothbrush is a bit of an overkill. Brushing and monitoring the activity on a smart phone is in my opinion, unnecessary. I can always do it with the good old reliable bathroom mirror. Perhaps development efforts should have been applied on making the battery last longer.

Love it, keeps mouth feeling awesome, little pricy but worth every cent by keeping me out of the dentist chair
