Philips Sonicare toothbrushes do an excellent job of cleaning your teeth; from their entry level models all the way up to their upper end models, like this DiamondClean Smart 9700. So aside from its dashing good looks, what differentiates this model? First, there is the Philips Sonicare App. The toothbrush connects to a downloadable app via Bluetooth (whoever thought we would need a Bluetooth toothbrush?). The app can then track and guide you on your brushing performance, helping you to know if you are applying too much pressure or missing areas. Second, the travel case charges the brush wirelessly via a USB plug. Great for when you're on the road as you don't need to break down your counter-top charging base. Just pack the brush in the case and go. Then there's things like the provided rinse glass that fits to the charging base (yes, its gimmicky, but it does look cool, and it works). And the fact that the package includes a plethora of extra brush heads (this is really nice as the replacement heads tend to be expensive). Overall, does it work? Yes, absolutely, it provides that dentist-office clean feeling right in your home. Is it overkill? Probably.

A little pricey but cleans your teeth very thoroughly! Gets a lot more plaque than a regular toothbrush. It has lasted 5 1/2 years before it stopped working. The toothbrush turns on and sounds like it is running but does not move. So sad! Battery charged and functioned extremely well. Battery lasted for weeks before needing to be recharged. Loved it! I wish you could buy a new battery instead of having to replace the whole thing. :(

The Phillips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9700 Rechargeable Toothbrush is a quality item, attractive and fully able to improve almost anyone’s dental health if you follow the easily understood program of your choice. It offers a traveling case with recharging, a stationary charging base, a glass that sets atop the charging base with a glass lid for the glass. You place the toothbrush in the glass where it will stand and is charged inductively. Once charged, you can place the glass top on the glass & set the toothbrush in the slot in the glass top where it will set without further charging until needed. Of course, the glass can be used simply as a glass as well. It comes with 4 different types of brush heads, which have chips to communicate with the toothbrush so it will set the toothbrush automatically for the type of brushing called for by that type of head. The types are Plaque Control, Gum Care, White and Tongue care. It comes with extra brushes. Download the app for either your iPhone or Android phone & it will connect to your toothbrush. The app offers different brushing programs for different needs. It starts with a 14-day program to acclimate yourself and your mouth to the toothbrush and the app. You use the app open while brushing to follow the particular program you want. It will guide you both in time and intensity with the toothbrush providing cues when to move to another sector of your mouth for the desired result. The app will show you where you have missed areas in your mouth in your brushing and redirect you to those places. You can also map areas of your mouth where you may have receding gums, fillings or other special needs so that you can go more lightly there or address those areas separately. If you use too much pressure on the toothbrush with your hand while brushing, it will vibrate and emit a sound to let you know so you can back off some of the hand pressure. The app will tell you when you need to replace brushes based upon intensity and duration of brushing, which it keeps track of, for each head. There is even a calendar in the app that allows you to see how many days your particular program should run and how many days you have before completing it . Of course, you can “manually” set the toothbrush for the intensity you want as well. All in all, this is one well thought out product that will take about 2 minutes or so each regular time you brush after your introductory program and any other specific programs you may want to do. These programs are up to you but are well designed to help. The Philips Sonicare Smart 9700 is probably the ultimate home dental care system available.

These Sonicare toothbrushes don't last very long. I have to buy a new one every year. $300 for toothbrush yearly. It always stopped vibrating after only about a year of use. Every single one i own. Ive never press it hard at all. Look like the bracket that holds 2 magnets apart was broken so magnets touched and stop working properly. It's very good toothbrush but just doesn't last long at all.

Just received the item today and the item is USED. It is so disgusting that stuck with toothpaste stains. OMG. I am so angry receiving such an used and dirty item from BEST BUY !!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't think a toothbrush could have such a wide array of smart features built into it. Coming from a standard non electric toothbrush, I surely was interested in this product just from the fact that you work less for a better clean. I love the fact that this has added features that make it easy to target certain oral health concerns. The easy swapability between brush heads is a real plus and with such a 2ide variety of brushes to choose from, you have your whole mouth covered. The app isn't too bad either, it tells you what you need to know as far as how you brush but it is a little finicky. I love that the handle is very easy to charge and 3ven comes included with a travel USB case charger that looks premium and you can carry 2 brush heads.

First, I have to say, I love this toothbrush. My teeth feel clean; it doesn't hurt my gums; the 6 zone timer is great. My last brush had a rotating head, and this one vibrates, so it was very different at first, but it's fantastic. I really would recommend this toothbrush to anyone. Now the not so great bit: I'm not loving the app. The idea of it is great, but I seem to have a lot of issues using it. You have to link the app to the toothbrush before brushing. Every time. And who really wants to wait to sync their toothbrush when rushing to get ready for work, or at the end of a long day before bed? Not to mention, if the app wants to update, or it "can't find" the toothbrush... I wish it was like my fitness tracker, which remembers data and syncs on its own time. The few times the app has worked, I liked the information it shared about my brushing.

Bestbuy doesn’t allow me to upload videos.. 5/5 brushing experience, but.. Once I used all of the heads came from the package I bought more Philips heads from Amazon but the vibration feels different. Also you will never find Philips heads in general supermarkets like Safeway. And then recently the main power button broken and automatically turns on and makes big noises at midnight. Since there is no way to fully power it off, and I have no way to have discarded it to have a quiet sleep. The product design is very unfriendly to handle situations like this at this moment. I would say a force stop setting should be designed somewhere either in firmware or phone app.

So far so good. This is a huge step from the previous model. This particular set comes with 7 brush heads and a tongue brush. I love the charger is a cup and you just place the toothbrush in the cup to charge. No having to hook it up to anything. Also there's an app that goes with the toothbrush. The app guides you while brushing and will even tell where you need to go back over missed areas. Overall a great toothbrush. I think replacement brush heads are a bit expensive though. Three different modes to use.

Everything you could want in a toothbrush. Makes teeth look amd feel polished as if you just had a deep clean at the dentist.

So, I've had the original Sonicare toothbrush for a very long time. It's still going strong, but I decided it was time for an upgrade. The fact that this toothbrush connects to an app on your mobile device, via Bluetooth, intrigued me. It's really cool that this toothbrush knows which brush head it has on it, thus knows what you're current brushing goals are. I've tried 3 of the brush heads and all made my teeth feel super clean. I honestly do feel a big difference. Now, regarding the app. At first, I was fascinated with the app. It's cool to be able to see how well you are, or are not, cleaning each area of your mouth. The tricky thing about it is if you spend 1-2 seconds more on one area versus another, the app marks the second area as less clean. The other thing that's a little cumbersome is that you have to have the app running in order for it to record/track your brushing sessions. Honestly, after having this toothbrush for a few weeks now, I'm less motivated to fire up the app every time I brush my teeth. It would be nice if the toothbrush stored a few sessions of data, then it could upload and update the app when you start it up, a couple times a week. However, I'm still happy with the toothbrush and how clean my teeth feel.

Despite the price and the fact that you need to bring your phone with you to brush your teeth, this is an excellent purchase. It lets you know not to scrub or harm your teeth while brushing and reminds you to floss and clean your tongue. Highly recommend for tech oriented people as well as teens as it can be a great tool for learning dental hygiene. Great gift for Christmas!

As a dentist, I recommend the Sonicare over al other toothbrushes and use this one myself. I see the result with my patients! Usually we all tech from Best Buy, but these I buy them directly from the rep - Big discount ;)

Works great. Wireless charging so you never forget.

This is a great toothbrush overall and it comes with multiple heads - including a tongue brusher. It works similar to other smart toothbrushes from Philips - with some added bonuses. It has additional modes from what I've seen before as well as induction charging through a glass (includes in the package). It's an overall a great improvement over past versions of the smart toothbrush from Philips.

I’ve been using this toothbrush for a few weeks now. I’ve had oral B toothbrushes in the last but have heard such great reviews of the sonicare line that I wanted to give it a try. This toothbrush has so many options and specialties on it that I’ll probably never use. It does come with a bunch of bristle heads which is cool. All different styles. It is a good toothbrush but I now see that I prefer the oral B because of the mechanical motion of the bristles. I feel as tho I get a better clean with the round head. All that being said, I won’t be returning it. Still a great toothbrush and gets the job done.
