Philips Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 After unpacking and assembling the unit, the next order of business is plugging the unit in and filling the separate reservoir. Choose one of the two included flossing tips, insert it in the flosser and you’re ready to go. Since it comes with two tips, two people can each have their own tip when flossing, since it’s best not to share things like flossing tips. While the unit is physically smaller than some other flossing units, because of the size of the footprint, and the fact that it needs to be plugged in to work, it’s probably better suited for a medium or larger bathroom, rather than a smaller one-sink one with less surface area. When filling the reservoir, which is attached to the base and not to the flossing unit itself, you can choose to use water, your mouthwash, or a mixture of the two. Using your mouthwash while flossing can be a time saver since you’re doing double duty (flossing and freshening your breath at the same time). And the size of the reservoir is more than adequate. One you’ve filled your reservoir; you can choose an intensity setting for the flosser from one to 10. Since the unit must be plugged in to operate, and the fact that the flossing unit is attached to the base, your movement is restricted to the length of the cord when in use. Despite the non-portable flossing unit limitation, it does a very nice job of flossing, which is what it’s intended for. However, while I prefer a more flexible rechargeable portable unit with its own reservoir, the final decision on that is entirely up to you. Be sure to register your unit with the manufacturer to ensure you get the 2-year manufacturer warranty.

I like this power Flosser and have been using it every day since I received it. Along with brushing this has made my teeth and gums feel much better and I will continue to use it instead of floss and see what my dentist says on my next visit. It comes with 2 different tips and a 3rd is available for it. this is the best thing I have gotten for my teeth.

This is a review written after only 1 use. If my impression changes, I will update my review. I bought this to replaced my Waterpik flosser, which lasted me 6 years. If this dummy had thought to de-scale it (never did that even once), it might still be running. I bought this one even though it was a little more expensive than the comparable Waterpik due to me simply adoring my Sonicare toothbrush over the spinning ones. The "quad" spray sounded inttriguing also, who doesn't want cleaner teeth & gums? I think I got suckered by a useless bell/whistle item, just like the "deep cleaning" feature. The quad spray doesn't make 4 tight jets, but instead dilutes the force of the one. The stream is significantly weaker than the single stream which is provided by the alternate tip. I will likely never use the quad tip again, as I don't use regular floss, so I like my gums being toughened by the strong spray and knowing anything between my teeth is powered out. The deep cleaning is just a slow pulse of about 1 second on, one second off. I was thinking a rapid pounding. Nope. Another feature I will never use as its purpose seems to be marketing as an "added feature (bell/whistle that is for sales purposes only). At full power (my gums were already toughened up by use of my other flosser, you have to build up from a lower pressure if starting out), I think the jet is very slightly less than my Waterpik, but I think it will do the job. The manual says I am supposed to replace the tip (essentially a plastic tube w/ a narrow outlet end) every 6 months. I used my Waterpik for 6 years, it has as similar tip, and I never replaced it once. The purpose of replacement would seem to be padding the Phillips' bottom line. All in all, this seems okay, and I won't take it back, but I think I could have gotten an equal or better water flosser for just a little cheaper if I got anothe Waterpik. Hopefully, I don't have a problem with it dying in a few months like some other buyers. I guess I won't know for 6 years if it is more durable than my Waterpik.

This water flosser has good pressure and I also like that the wand has an on/off switch along with one on the unit itself. It does a great job cleaning my teeth.

Works well! Much quieter then other power flossers I have used in the past (from another manufacturer). Highly recommend. Comes with 2 tips, but unfortunately no place to store the second tip.

This gets my teeth so clean. I still floss afterwards, but I no longer have pieces of food between my teeth like I always used to. I use a lot less floss now. It’s also very easy to use - I wish I had bought one years ago.

Replaced my old waterpick and this was a good upgrade. Small footprint on your counter but strong enough to get the job done. Very pleased.

It's powerful and gets the job done. My only gripe would be that the coil attached from the device to the rinsers is tight and the device is light so it will move while you're water flossing. Be careful at how far you keep the machine from your body. Other than that its amazing.

My last power flosser was a chargeable that lasted 57 days! So, I chose this plug-in flosser & I love it. It has various pressure settings & a quad stream nozzle that removes items caught between your teeth better than others I have used.

I previously had an OralB. That might have had a bit more strength of water flow, but this is more than sufficient. I use this at half strength, and the OralB was at lesser strenth setting. I do not use the quad gadget. I find it useless. The stream is much less directed, but if you have sensitive teeth, maybe you will prefer it. However, imo, it takes string directed flow to really floss the teeth with water.
