Great Toothbrush!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product itself is a bit expensive, but comparatively to other electronic toothbrushes, it holds up well. Has 3 settings, Clean, White, and Gumcare. I don't seem to notice a difference between the 3, but it could just be me. I like that it has a sensor timer meaning every 25 seconds it pulses and beeps to let you know that you should move on to the next "zone" of your mouth. I also like that it has a pressure sensor that adjusts to the force of your brushing so you do not damage your teeth. I personally do not brush super hard but I know people that do. Overall there is nothing I do not like at this point. Tooth brush has held up and is effective. Only nitpicky thing I could suggest is to maybe have the brush heads in the same black color as the toothbrush so it looks better together. The white brush heads are clearly more compatible with the white toothbrush, not the black colored version.

Smaller, Lighter Sonicare But With an Upsell
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was good to have it charged up right out of the box. This model has a smaller charger base than my older model, and "impales" on it with a confirming chirp to let you know it's charging. The included brush head is the one for the normal "Clean" setting, but there are 2 other heads available for the Gums and White settings, available for purchase with discount codes included in the paperwork. The unit's instructions say that features like EasyStart (gradually increases brush vibration to max during first 14 days) and Quadpacer (unit "hiccups" every 30 seconds to signal you to move on to the next part of your mouth) can be disabled. It may be that the ProtectiveClean 1500 may get to the intensity and power level of my older Essence model after the 14 days. The manual states that "to achieve CLINICAL efficacy, EasyStart needs to be deactivated." I'd like to try that--but the manual doesn't tell how to "re-enable" it. There's the loss of one star in my rating. You can choose the other modes--Gums and White--which changes the intensity even with the standard Clean head. You must choose those modes BEFORE you press the power button. It came with a travel/storage case, and has a tiny reminder light that tells you 3 months has gone by and it's time to replace the brush head. It also has a sensor to let you know you are pressing too hard (the unit changes pitch and the brush vibrates like a bumble bee.) These Sonicare brushes do a great job at keeping plaque from building up on your teeth, and this one seems like it will do that just fine. The manual says it includes 2 brush heads, but mine came with only one.

Not impressed
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using a battery-operated tooth brush for several years and figured I try the Phillips Sonicare. Sadly, I was not impressed. The Sonicare comes with one brush, the handle, charger base and a plastic carrying case which holds the handle and two brushes. I found using the Sonicare to be difficult, especially once the handle got wet as it became slippery. There is a timer which turns the brush off after 3 minutes. You can just turn the unit on again if your brushing is longer than that. The brush speaks to the handle and senses how hard you are brushing and lets you know if it feels too much pressure. It also uses this information to determine when you should replace your brush. After using for a week, my teeth don’t feel any cleaner than when using my previous brush, and replacement heads are considerably more expensive than my battery ones. While the Phillips Sonicare does what its supposed to do, I can not recommend it to a friend.

Excellent toothbrush
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always used a regular toothbrush but this has made my teeth cleaner and whiter in just a few days. Never going back.. the only issue I found is the sound is loud and feels like something you would hear at the dentist.

Excellent feeling of clean
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used regular spin-brushes for years so if you are expecting that type of feeling you will be surprised. With that said...this sonicare is excellent. It took me a while to get used to the feeling that the brush creates, but once that is over...it cleans really well. My teeth feel smooth and fresh after ever use. There are 3 modes that clean, white, and gum care. You can barely notice a difference but there is. It charges quickly and the stand is small. It doesn't look overly intrusive to your bathroom. Love it. One real quick tip, don't over load it with toothpaste and whatever you do, don't turn it on outside of your mouth. You'll have a mess to clean up.

Sonicare is always a good decision...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm used to the Sonicare brand, and got this as an upgrade to an older model. Sonicare has always been a good quality, and the 5100 seems to be rugged and well-built as expected. For those not using a Sonicare, both my dentist and I highly recommend for the best in home dental care. The carrying/storage case is also a nice feature that I didn't have on an older model. New users will probably appreciate the pressure sensor, especially when getting used to the vigorous cleaning action of the Sonicare when first starting to use it. This model is one of the most affordable, and is well worth the investment to reduce costly dental work.

My First Electronic Toothbrush
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like it. It takes some getting used to. I'm used to the traditional way of brushing but this is a little different. There are three different modes of brushing and I have yet to pick the one that fits for me. Add'l brush heads are expensive is the only downfall for this to me.

Having owned other Sonicare models, I'm impressed by the various features. Great until it starts to slowly break
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this in 2020 and has been great other than the part the brush head attaches to starting to becoming loose. This has caused weird vibration sounds at time and I don't think it's cleaning as well.

Excellent Oral Care System
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Why would you want an $80 "toothbrush" over a $2 toothbrush you can buy at the local supermarket? Because you care about the health of your teeth and need some help in brushing correctly and thoroughly. This device does an excellent job in how it cleans you teeth and gums. It also has great features such as remininding you how long you need to bush. Using this the first few times takes some adjustment, but it worth the effort to make the most of oral care.

First Experience
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first time trying an electic toothbrush and I wonder what took me so long. My teeth and gums feel amazing after just the first use. The vibrations meant to guide you on how long to brush each area is great. Definitely consider your personal dental needs to help guide you in which brush heads to get but the one that came with this will work perfectly for most users.

Decent Toothbrush
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disclaimer: I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review of the product. This is my second Sonicare toothbrush to use - my first one is a bit fancier and syncs with an app on my phone to track cleaning and brush life. This one is similar, but has fewer features and lacks the capability to sync with my phone (not that it is a necessity by any means for my toothbrush to sync with my phone, I've just gotten used to it lol). This toothbrush also lacks the ability to increase or decrease the "intensity" of the brushing, which I realized the first time I used it any my gums hurt so badly the next morning. I also don't feel like my teeth were as clean as they could've been, either (but I also could just have deeper grooves in my teeth than other people do).

It's more than paid for itself
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Sonicare 5100 three years ago. It has been a major factor in reducing cavities and maintaining healthy gums. The reasons for the good dental report card are the sonic technology, gentle brushing, timed pacing, and excess pressure alert. It's time to replace the electric toothbrush. It loses charge faster. The pressure alert stopped working. The sonic rpm's are slowing down. I was hoping the Sonicare would last longer, but it's more than paid for itself in saved dental bills. The 4100 is cheaper, but the charger comes with a USB plug. I plan to get the 5100 as a replacement.

Sonicare Tooth brush review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Price of item seemed very high. After using for the firsrt time my teeth felt smooth and slick, i never have had the clean feeling like the feeling of using this style of tooth brush. I would recommend this style of tooth brush to anyone even though the price is higher than i liked. Ive had mine now for almost 5 years and it still is working great.
