I wanted the best recorder that would hook up to a computer..... And best quality. It was a gift, so I am not sure about the quality. The clerk was VERY helpful.

Wow this was much smaller than I expected based on previous purchases.

The play back volume is very poor on this recorder. I have to listen very closely with volume at its max to hear the play back audio.

This recording machine when it says zoom it means zoom it up to 3 feet but man This good up to like 8 feet WOW!!!

NO manual or info. I am old so could not fully figure out all features and could not get find online. Needed to spend money and download WINZIP or something--gave up. Near the end of 15 day return period contacted Best Buy. Put on hold only to be told the process to access a manual was so convoluted he suggested sending me a link so I could watch a You Tube video. Say What!. Returned the item that day. I liked and wanted it but already had plenty of paper weighs.

One recommended for recording from phone and ones self at same time! Easy to use and charge.... no batteries required!

The DVT4110 is a fantastic recorder for the price! I'm a professional audio engineer, so I have a lot of great sound recording gear. I have a Zoom H6 that I use lots in the field, away from my studio. A few months ago, I was asked to record an interview with someone at the last moment. I was happy to do so, but there wasn't time for me to run get my H6. Instead, I stopped at my local BestBuy store and picked this up. Since I was riding with the person that was going to conduct the interview, I had a few minutes to look online and see what they had in stock before stopping. The reviews made the DVT4110 sound like a good candidate for recording the interview well. They were right. The sound quality of the recording was exceptional, plenty good to use on the air if recorded in a decent environment. As I was riding to the interview to be recorded, I ran through the setup on the device. It was easy and straightforward. By the time we arrived to record the interview (about 20 minutes after I bought the recorder), I was comfortable with the unit and ready to work with it. I read one review that said the DVT4110 is overly complicated. This might be true if you are a complete sound novice. There are a number of options on it that are not offered on other voice recorders, but those units don't have nearly the sound quality, either. I know, I have used many of them. If you know nothing about sound recording, you can learn enough online in 30 minutes to use the DVT4110. The settings are that easy to understand. If you are a professional journalist, you can use recordings made with it on the air. If you are a podcaster, this will allow you to make high-quality recordings on the go. If you're a student or a secretary, this will make great recordings for reviewing and taking notes or minutes. I have a Sony unit that cost ~$100 that doesn't sound anything close to as good as this. If you're in the market for a good digital recorder, just pull the trigger and get this one!

Noticed this couple of times best buy sells openbox products with missing parts as new, don't know if this is against the guidelines but they shouldn't do this in my opinion. Literally this had someone else audio recording and data cable is missing as well. Best buy isn't a OfferUp or eBay. Respect buyers. Going to return this today.
