The Pimax Crystal Light Prime delivers outstanding image quality, especially for flight simulators. Cockpit instruments, small text, and distant details look much sharper than on my previous headset, and the wide field of view really helps with immersion. Once it’s running on a powerful PC, the experience in Microsoft Flight Simulator is excellent. Keep in mind this is PCVR only – it does not work standalone like a Quest, and it needs DisplayPort, USB 3.0 and external power connected to the computer to turn on. Setup and software take a bit more time than a plug-and-play headset, and the required subscription model is not my favorite part. Overall, if you have a strong PC and mainly want the best possible clarity for sims and PC games, this headset is fantastic.

The Pimax Crystal Light headset is absolutely stunning. The screen quality and brightness are so crisp that I don't get motion sick from it, unlike other headsets. Yes, you definitely need a more modern setup to be able to use it, but I was running it on a RTX4090 and it worked flawlessly for the games I played. The unfortunate part is the quality issues. Out of the box, my headset only worked for 3 days before it started giving me the 10600 error code, saying my DisplayPort wasn't connected. I verified that all of my DP inputs functioned by swapping my monitor over to them, and did a full, fresh GPU update to no avail. Pimax customer service never got back to me after two weeks, so I am returning this item disappointed. I would still recommend this item, just make sure you really use it and that you received a quality headset.

Really happy with the headset, very clear display and a pretty decent sweetspot on it too. I'd recommend the studio form kit to make it much more comfortable. Now it's one of the more comfortable headsets and is literally pick up and play!
