The sound is so clear that you can hear everything that's going on in the movie. She said it sounds sscared scared her. She thought something we're going on. It is a smart TV, but very very slow to start up and slow to switch from one network to another - example watching Netflix and then going to Amazon. The picture is nice, sound is OK. It might be fine if used only on cable. I will probably return for a better brand.

Bad interface for streaming channels

Sound: Fair: Sometimes fades in and out, speakers are in the back of the unit not a good idea. The use of a sound bar really helps. Interface: Absolutely horrible !!! Takes forever to change channels or stream apps. Picture freezes or falls off line all together, really annoying when watching sports. Don't buy this TV if your streaming apps. Got so annoyed with this that I had to hook up my old Roku box to eliminate the problem. TV works fine on the antenna with over the air channels. Don't buy this TV if you want to stream apps and channels.

Simple but good quality

I purchased this TV along with a 65 inch version and I have to say the picture quality and sound is very good. Definitely worth the price I paid. The manual update is kind of awkward but really how often do you need to update it so that should not be a big deal.

Great TV all around, except OS.

It is very bright even in SDR mode, and I don’t know if it has other HDR options other than Dolby Vision, but the color can look great (once you mess with the settings a bit). Biggest downside is the XUMO operating system. It’s slow. Too slow sometimes. But once you open an app, it’s relatively fine. Of course you can always hookup something to the HDMI ports and use that (works great with my blu ray player). Overall I paid $151 for this on sale and it’s excellent value and it’s also 4K. Can’t go wrong.
