It is advertised as a UHD LED but it fact a molded label on the backside of the set states that it is a Liquid Crystal Chassis( see photo. I agree that it’s color and brightness is no better than my older 39 inch Insignia LCD which it was to replace. Spend your money on another brand; I cannot recommend this Pioneer 43”.

Trash right out the box

I had to return this TV the very next day. Geek squad couldnt connect it to WIFI either. Hunk of junk! I do not recommend this brand or TV model. I reset the TV and it still wouldnt work.

Cannot Even Give A One Star Review

Leaving my television set in the common area put my purchase at risk of theft or damages. I would not have had known unless building staff called me at work. My daughter had to lug it upstairs and it was no telling how heavy it was. I think this inaction was unprofessional.

Bad purchase

Made a noise my fifth time using Iit. Won’t keep the wifi connection. Keeps resetting. I purchased two of these TVs to put in my guest rooms The second is still in the box. I’m outside return window.

The picture quality on this TV is excellent for its price. Colors are vibrant, and the contrast is decent. While it's not the absolute best as some other models, it still provides a sharp, clear picture for regular TV viewing, movies, and streaming content. For casual watching, the picture is more than satisfactory. Sound quality is ok but not outstanding. A sound bar would or external speakers would greatly enhance the sound. The design of the TV is sleek and modern which is pleasing to the eye. The stand is stable and supports the TV well. The lightweight of the tv makes it easy to wall mount. A 43" screen gives a nice balance without being too big. bulky. The TV being a smart tv it allows for easy access to popular streaming apps like Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, and more. Even for us that are not techies this is easy to use with a smaller learning curve on how to use the features. The remote is simple to navigate and response quickly without a lot of buttons to confuse the user. While the smart features may not be the same as the high quality (costly) tv's, they are solid and will provide adequate service. The tv has a decent selection of ports including HDMI, USB and an optical audio output. It also supports WI-FI, and Ethernet connections for those who want a good connection for stable streaming. I used the wi-fi feature. Bluetooth is available for connecting of external devices such as sound bars, headphones or gaming controllers. This tv is perfect for a person that covers all the basics, without compromise at a price that doesn't break the bank. It is perfect for small to medium rooms.

I recommend this TV to anyone on a budget as I only payed $69.00.. can’t beat the price for such a great product.. VERY SATISFIED. Thank you

I use an Apple TV so the TVs smart functions matter very little to me. I do like that you can set up the Pioneer TV with no internet connection and don’t have to create an account and jump through hoops to just use it as a “dumb” TV. The 4k picture is good and the dolby audio is a plus at this price. If you are going to use this TV for its smart features, it’s OK. The Xumo interface isn’t the greatest and can lag. The remote also could be better designed. But for the price, especially when on sale at Best Buy, you really can’t beat the value it offers compared to other TVs.

Cannot keep TV from turning off after 4 hours

However, I find it ridiculous that I do not have any way to keep the on unless I use the remote every four hours. I leave my TV on for my dog during the day and it shuts off after a couple of hours. I have checked all of the settings, read the manual, as well as seeking information online and there is an option in the settings but it does not allow me to keep the TV on until I actually turn it off. This is infuriating to me and I understand power saving but it says that to operate this TV it cost $23 a year. I am not hurting the environment by leaving my TV on while I'm at work for my dog. I have found it in anything that I purchase recently that more and more options are taken away from us as consumers and this I do not understand. This TV is actually sitting in the box in my closet because of this problem as well as if you misplace the remote,you cannot operate your TV. You can turn it on and off but you cannot change the channels or adjust the volume. I have other newer TVs that there may only be one button however you still can push that button in a fashion that will allow for control of channel changing and volume control. this one does not have that. For these reasons I put it back in the box and it's in the closet and I am using my old TV as of now until it completely goes out. I would return it but it's past the window as I didn't take it out of the box immediately when I bought it and realized these things about the TV itself. I do not understand why these companies feel the need to take away our choices as consumers. It is not just this product that I have experienced this. I now am very very resistant to purchasing almost anything new such as washing machine refrigerator TVs dishwashers etc. so yes I am using my almost 14 year old plasma TV instead of this one. Lol these are my personal problems with the TV itself. The TV as in the fact that it's a smart TV and the picture and speakers are all average in what you would expect for the low price point. I do not have complaints about those aspects of the TV.

I remember the Pioneer name from way back when they made stereos (especially car stereos and they were the best stereos around). That is the reason I chose it and I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

Great Value

The brand Pioneer has been around forever, very popular audio/stereo brand. What made me try was the price. It's for my home office and I just didn't need a huge tv or have room for one. The smart tv aspect was 2nd. Not having to use a Roku is nice. So far, it's great. Easy set up, apps already installed. Color and sound are great. I definitely recommend.

Overall I Really Like This TV

The sound is great and the settings offer a broad range of options as far as pairing devices, picture, sound, and setup. Also has a tutorial on how to use the tv so you don’t have to get a booklet out and do all the extra. I love the tv. I only give it 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 because you can’t download a web browser onto this tv. And you can’t add any apps that aren’t already on the tv because the apps are already downloaded onto the tv for you by design. The positive to this is that you don’t have to download them all yourself one by one. I just use the internet browser so much on my tv to use other platforms besides (what used to be) cable channels and YouTube. Good thing I’m able to use the browser on the fire stick otherwise this could’ve been a possible deal breaker. Also you can use screen mirroring for browser but this isn’t the best if you’re trying to use your phone and watch tv between episodes/shows

Good TV, But....

Major, major bummer is that you CANNOT add any apps to the xumo operating system. I am having to purchase a firestick as an add-on to accomplish what I need. Got it at a good price, but had I known that I could not add apps, I would not have purchased it!!!!!
