    Pros: Wireless Android Auto/Apple Car Play is a reliable convenience and the radio itself has intuitive functionality. It's fun to choose multiple sources paired with either Waze or Google Maps. Sound quality is good. Phone is very clear on both ends of the conversation. Screen and icons are generally responsive. The radio enters spoken messages into the phone accurately. I was able to retain my backup camera, steering controls, Sirius/XM radio with the appropriate adapters. Cons: Disconnects from Android occur (but rarely) and they're resolved quickly. Battery drain on the phone from streaming is strong so although it works fine with wirelessly, have your charger handy. The radio’s direct wired connection from its port charges the phone poorly. Some pop-up phone notifications don't consistently clear after listening to the messages until you go and specifically clear them on the radio’s screen. That seems to happen frequently, and I've had to restart Android Auto a few times due to the interface bugging during this message playing/reading/clearing process. The screen does suffer from glare most of the day. It’s still clear enough but the resolution is not great. Other gripes are more related to Android Auto shortcomings.

    Really great after a little problem…

    It’s a nice unit and works well. I gave it a four star rating because I had an interesting time with the install. It would not work with the IData link. I tried reflashing it numerous times with the same result. Thinking maybe the serial number was wrong on the unit, I went to the system settings and found that it identified as a Pioneer DMH-2000NEX with a one of zeros for the serial number. Got the latest firmware and flashed it. Once that was done, it identified as the 3050 withe the correct serial number. All worked fine after that little mess and my friend is quite happy with the setup.

    So far so good. I’ve only had it installed for a couple of hours but I can already tell the sound quality is much better. The screen is a little bit smaller than the factory head unit so using the back up cam is going to take some getting used to. Overall, the install was good It looks clean. They had it done within an hour. I haven’t had a chance to test out all the bells and whistles, but it seems good.

    Disconnect often, volume goes way up unexpectedly. have problems with navigation on Waze. However, it’s a step above the 3000 NEX. My installer repaired/replaced previous unit three times he recommended this. It’s just a tad bit better.

    Nice unit that has all the bells and whistles to help bring my 2010 Mazda technology forward. Wireless Android Auto and other features work just fine. Word to the wise, you need a separate piece of equipment for it if you want to keep your steering wheel controls. With it had been more clear about that when the purchase was made. Had to schedule a second install just for that piece equipment.

    Great buy and installation by the mobile tech at the Mobile AL Best Buy who got it done in little over an hour start to finish! It looks & sounds great in the 2004 Sequoia!

    The things I wish I'd known

    Cons: 1. There are no options in the camera settings to have parking guidelines as a default. Since the parking guidelines do not automatically appear, you have to turn them on each time you reverse the camera. 2. I never thought having andriod auto would be a downgrade, but the car automatically syncing to android auto means if I'm actually listening to the radio in my car, it stops and goes to the music on my phone automatically-every time I turn the car on. This gets really annoying when you're running errands and get in and out of the car. 3. The volume increases exponentially on it's own. For example, I normally keep the volume at 10 and if I get a call or use voice to give the car driving instructions it will increase the volume to 22. This issue I'm not sure if it's actually the device itself of the Geek Squad installation, but it's startling even when you know it's coming. Pros: 1. Although the mic is way more visible than my OEM unit, it turns out to be an improvement in sound quality. I got compliments for how crisp I sounded while talking in the car, which was great. 2. Having access to Waze is a big improvement to out of date maps from my OEM unit. It's really helped when traveling to unfamilar areas that may be newer than 2015.

    So going on about months of use. I have to say, for the money. I'm very well pleased with it's performance. The touch screen is responsive. And I've had no connectivity issues at all using Bluetooth android auto. The adjustments for audio. Give you plenty of fine tuning. To tune your speakers to your preference. I highly recommend trying this unit out. If your on the market for a new head unit. It's hard to beat for the money.

    Nice unit, apple car play works as advertised. Good sound and good fit n finish looks great in the dash of our Fleetwood motorhome. Menu is a little cumbersome picking your source but definitely worth the price of admission

    Purchased open-box excellent condition, but didn't come with the usb extension cord or mounting screws. Best Buy support wasn't very helpful in correcting the issue, which was disappointing. The receiver seems nice so far. Hopefully, it will last for many years to come.

    Great little stereo! Replaced the factory installed infotainment and with Maestro, I haven’t lost any functionality as it integrated perfectly with steering wheel controls etc. very easy to use and wireless CarPlay works great

    Going to give an extra star because – if it had worked and wasn't a dud unit – it would have been more than serviceable. Really great feature set and I loved the wireless carplay. But unfortunately a couple months into ownership it started crashing and resetting mid-drive CONSTANTLY. Some days it wouldn't, some days it would crash 3+ times on one drive to or from my job and every time it would just ruin my vibe like crazy. I don't know, the unit itself would have been fine but the fact this was such a problem, would never tell someone "oh yeah get that one."

    Just intermittently drops wireless connection when streaming music stored on my Iphone 16 to the radio. Dimmer will not work unless hooked up...a first for me after hooking up numerous modern touch screen radios...it would seem the nanny factor is only getting worse with everything

    i had a hard time with this. It took 2 trips to the Best buy Audio installation and then a trip to an auto mechanic to fix an electrical issue. It functions okay finally but the screen could be brighter.

    It is an excellent stereo, it works very well, it does not get stuck and it is very fluid. I would have liked it to have some physical keys for better volume control, but other than that it gives excellent sound quality.

    Unit is great Best Buy Open Box Inspections not so

    Bought the first unit open box online; It was rated excellent meaning all parts were present and it had been restored to factory defaults. Neither was true. Half of the connecting cords were missing and the previous owner Hector had all of his info in the unit including a lock that I could not bypass. Secondly it was advertised as free installation, but the only installation site I could sign up for was a 150 mile roundtrip. Even though I knew there were Best Buys that did installs a 100 miles closer. I ended up taking the unit back to the closer Best Buy, buying a brand new unit and scheduling an installation. They did a great job installing it and I like the unit, but I endured a lot of headaches over the first unit and trying to get it installed. In the end it cost me a $100 more for the new unit.
