I'm back at Best Buy having the car checked because a) I get some kind of Maestro connection error on the screen and b) the unit doesn't work well.
I spent about $750 on this, and a good bit of the functionality I wanted doesn't work. It took a while to notice the problem because the primary user of the car passed away 6 months ago, so I just recently checked the unit to see how it was working,
I have no idea if the faulty unit is still covered by warranty or if there is some kind of solution that just isn't obvious. The car is being checked now.

I am sorry to hear that you are having a problem with the DMH-W3050NEX. If the iDatalink is faulty, they should be able to get it replaced. At the very least, update it and program it again for your vehicle and the Pioneer radio. If the issue is with the DMH-W3050NEX, it has a one-year warranty. Installer told me that the vehicle tracking lines wouldnt be available, then told me id have to buy an additional wireharness to install on top of everything i was told id need to buy. This was on top of waiting 2 weeks for a scheduled appointment. Which forced me to lose a day then when i arrived 30 minutes before my appointment they didnt even get to my vehicle an hour later which was when they told me i had to order an additional part. I told them return everything I no longer want it. After taking an entire got my hopes up just to say “oops its not gonna happen today and you get an additional charge and another lost day”. Yeah no thanks im going to think real hard about spending another single dollar in Best Buy i highly doubt ill ever get that warm fuzzy feeling on making another purchase in Best Buy

I purchased this device in September 2024, and now the backup camera says 'no signal'. Geek Squad refused to repair it since it's still under warranty. I would have to pay to uninstall and ship the item to the factory. I should have purchased the cheaper item and gone without the backup camera. There is a lag for music from Bluetooth. It is very annoying and distracting while driving.

I want to love this but for some reason, there is a disconnect with apple carplay and phone features. When in park and at my kids bus stop, i cant navigate my phone in my hand when listening to music if carplay is connected (whoch is automatic everytime i get in the car) that means i cant take photos, videos, scroll social media or websites or my headunit stops music. Whats scary is if i want to record something my phone records without audio just as my headunit stops audio too. So if you talk while recording it comes out “muted” even if it isnt. Bb techs say its an apple thing. Then this headunit isnt doing what its intended to do if thats the case. Anyone else? Im sad about this.

Spent over 600 with accessories for my 2015 dodge ram 1500. Does not automatically connect to my samsung phone. Does not recognize vox commands ,will play seriusxm and i heart channels simultaneously. Tried five usb cables it reports they are wrong..screen glare makes display unreadable.. wireless connection takes a minute to finally connect. i have spoken to pionerr support 4 times..i must wait 2 weeks for BB appt i am planning to put my oem radio bsck and use my phone on a cradle..

**BUYER BEWARE OF BEST BUY FALSE ADVERTSING**

**BUYER BEWARE** - I ordered a Pioneer DMH-W3050NEX on BB.com advertised as "Open Box Excellent Condition" item which means word for word "includes ALL standard parts." Midway through the install I realized I was missing the AUX out and the Audio Outputs for my amp. I called the USELESS customer support line for over a week only to get the run around. They refuse to approve a partial refund (Excellent to Fair difference) nor would they order the missing parts. This is FALSE ADVERTISING 101 and not ONE person from customer service would help rectify. I paid for an Excellent Condition item as advertised on their website and received a FAIR CONDITION item (missing parts) - they actually provide a definition verbatim of what each condition means (Excellent, Good, Fair). Excellent includes ALL STANDARD PARTS and I did not receive them nor would ANYONE from their support team help. I will be reporting this to the BBB as this is CLEARLY FALSE ADVERTISING - after calling over 10 times their chance to fix this is OVER!

Wireless Carplay

Started off good, now the carplay randomly kicks my phone off through trips. Sometimes it will stay connected other times it will restart over and over and over. Had the system and wires double checked and supposedly its fine and they dont know what the issue is.
